Awesome pub. Nice outdoor seating courtyard, plenty of indoor seating options too, good food (room for improvement but still solid), excellent service (friendly AND super fast), good selection of beers on tap. Pool table too, always a perk. Parking is ok (street parking only). Will come again, even though we live many suburbs away and drive past so many pubs on the way to this one... it's worth it.

Such a good selection of so.e local btews here. I came in on a Friday night and was quite busy but still managed to get a seat at the bar. Talked to some locals and had an enjoyable time. Beer garden out back was full. Nice atmosphere for a short walk from Victoria road.

We need to talk about the food!! Not your average pub feed thats for sure and i am so thankful and appreciate to the kitchen. Its so refreshing.
Huuuge servings with some serious thought on flavour and quality. We went for the Sunday Roast - but i ended up having the Fish & Chips - and was honestly one for the memory bank with thick REAL cut chips and beautifully battered fish. So light and crispy . Tartare was definitely homemade too i reckon and mushy peas were top tier (not usually a fan) they even added a side pickle which helped cut through the richness. I don't know, just the whole thing was unreal you could tell a lot of effort went into it. And the roasts!!!! Wow wow wow 10/10 i tried my partners pork and nearly fell.off.my.chair. It was so tender drowned in a sticky jus with the crispiest potatoes you have ever seen. Oh and crackling was perfect ??

My favourite pub in Sydney. I really missing living around the corner and calling this place my local. The live music on Saturdays is great and the kitchen team are on another level. Never been disappointed by the food, their gnocchi is better than most Italian restaurants.

As an Englishman on the hunt for a good Sunday roast in Sydney, I can safely say I've found it at the Welcome, and I can stop searching now!

Everything that's on the plate deserves to be there and is cooked well. My only piece of advice would be to have Yorkshire puddings available on all dishes, it's not exclusively just for beef. Saying that, I don't necessarily miss it, it would just be nice to have.

Great local gastropub. Wonderful and varied food. Staff are amazing. Neil runs a tight ship and it shows. Sunday early lunch starts filling with patrons thru to early dinner , to the point where the place has no more seats left. Very popular because it is delicious food and wonderful atmosphere

Came for a Sunday roast and was pleased to see there were choices, beef, lamb and pork. I had the lamb and was so tender and lots of trimmings. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely recommend my friends to come and try this place. The dining areas was great and recommend inside courtyard area. Very popular so suggest you book.

So this season Ive done Sunday roasts throughout the inner west. And today I just had the best one yet at the Welcome, thanks a bunch guys! Oh, and the Yorkshire pudding is incredible!

Great, relaxed atmosphere. Eclectic crowd. Great selection of ales including craft beers on tap. Comfy space. Food is decent, though menu is not especially exciting, given local competion is fierce

My new local.. something about inner suburban pubs that tops other locations. Sunday Roast, is a must if you are in the area ?

The Welcome is one of the best pubs in Sydney. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming, there's a great selection of beers on tap, the staff are friendly and the food is excellent. It's the neighbourhood's living room.

Good vibes and dog friendly? Woweee it sure lives up to its' name. Brought one of the dogs and he had a great time planting himself in front of locals and making them pay a "pet me please" toll. Also I ordered the bangers and mash with onion gravy, a little pricey but it was filling and was a good pub feed!

Amazing pub experience.
Had long lunch / dinner with friends. Food was delicious. Staff extremely friendly and attentive especially since pub was so busy on PH. Will come back!

A delightful Father's Day lunch with the family. Famiky members ate hamburgers, the Daddy special, some had gnocchi. All delicious. The only down side was the coffee machine wasn't working! Good value and service.

Still the best pub in Balmain/Rozelle. There are closer pubs to where I live, but it remains my local. Best selection of tap beers bar none, with good food and a great beer garden. Book a table on the weekend as it fills up.

Outstanding pub and kitchen. The food is top shelf, with a limited but well selected range of craft beers on tap. If you stopped going because of the below par food back around mid 2019, you need to go back, the kitchen is completely transformed. The Sunday roast is also incredible.

Dog friendly, which is a huge plus too. Love this place.

What a perfect name for such a welcoming pub. I walked in a moment after last drinks had been called (for my first visit) after a nearby dinner, to catch the last overs of the cricket. 99% of pubs would have said sorry, we're done. After all, it was 9:30pm on a Sunday. However, Kylie and Rosie went above and beyond when it came to service. Had me in for a beer with the cricket on tv. Super friendly; it felt like a nice lounge room (only with clean, local beer on tap).

Authentic pub, just how everybody likes it. Despite the time of day/week they were kind to give me the history and were enthusiastic in doing so.

My only regret is that I haven't yet joined for Sunday roast but now that I know about this, I'll be back soonest for that. The Welcome indeed. Long live!

Best Sunday Roast I've had in Sydney! Excellent roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding and the beef was cooked perfectly. For once, we found a place that does proper cauliflower cheese, made my partner and I very happy. They also had a great selection of local beers. As a Brit in Sydney, I'm extra critical of Sunday roasts but this was a PROPER roast..

Since the new menu, it's honestly the best pub on the peninsula. Best burger I've had in a long time. New favourite haunt.

One of Sydney's best pubs for sure. Great menu with delicious pub grub that's a little fancier than most pubs offer. The Sunday roasts are a very good! Unfortunately the once awesome beer selection has taken a nose dive in recent months, hence the 4/5 stars which is a shame.

Change of owners, change of Kitchen! Lived around the corner for 9 years, since just after it last received some good pub food hats, and has been up and mostly down since. Tonight was best food there in 9 years. A fresh, well presented Chicken liver parfait with lightly toasted fresh bread, a rich & well cooked souffle, and a perfect quality chateau briand. Gobsmacked, better than any restaurant round Rozelle at moment. Well done guys, wish this new operation total success!!
