Beautiful hotel, in a beautiful location. Clean and Comfortable. Couldn't fault the hotel staff. Very friendly and helpful.

The restaurant and bar staff however were awful. Arrogant, rude, and condescending would be how I'd describe them.

Made to feel like a peasant when trying to use our $25 luxury escapes vouchers.
And that was if the staff even knew about them in the first place.

Slow uninterested service and one particular staff member more interested in making free cocktails for her friends than serving paying customers.

As I said very disappointed considering the hotel staff were lovely and the hotel itself and the location were great.

I came here for drinks on a Saturday afternoon with a friend. Fantastic spot with a beautiful view of the water and the sunset. The service was great given how busy it was. Took a little while to order drinks at times but the venue was full and there were people ordering 12 cocktails at a time.
The DJ played great tunes and overall a fun vibe on a mild but sunny day. I would definitely recommend a visit.
Also dog friendly.

The location would be one of the best in Sydney. However the drinks are way overpriced and the food is average at best. Go to Doyle's if you want good fish and chips. The burger I had was decent but you will find much better for less in the location.

Our table was out in the open and didn't even have an umbrella to shade from the sun.

Drop in for a drink on your way past but wouldn't spend much time there eating.

Very disappointing experience booked a table for 20 guests five weeks prior. When arrived at the hotel at 3pm, I tried to arrange tab for my guests but came across some difficultly as the bartender didn't accept digital ID, he kindly got the manager involved and the manager then asked me leave as he said didn't like my tone, when I described my frustration. Such a small matter could be resolved easily but instead it ruined the whole day for me and my guests as I wasn't allowed to join my friends.

The manager was totally obnoxious dismissed the role of his reservation team played in supporting me in booking the reservation and mentioned several times "that he ran the whole operation" and didn't care it ruined our birthday celebrations for my fiancé. We all left following this decision and I have asked all my guests to provide feedback via Google reviews. I have requested meeting with the team but haven't heard a response yet.

Excellent value for money. Spacious rooms and bathrooms, plus comfortable seats. Rooms very clean. Can be slightly noisy with patrons (and to management's credit, they tell people upfront on their website), but certainly tolerable. I'd definitely stay again.

Didn't do the restaurant, just the takeout part. Best fish & chips in Sydney. Took the ferry from the Quay to Watson's Bay. THEY NEED WHEEL CHAIR ACCESS. Otherwise just a lovely place for lunch on the harbour.

Food is really great. Sure it's not cheap but you get what you pay for. You can order at your table with a QR code (unfortunately for food only, beverages you have to go to the bar). Atmosphere and view stunning. Right on the ferry stop.

Service absolutely atrocious and has certainly declined significantly over the past 12 months. Large number of staff have little understanding of the English language. Prices of food and beverages need to be seriously reviewed and lowered in accordance with the service levels offered. Having eaten regularly for the past 40yrs plus it maybe time to move on to venues more appreciative and concious of their customer service standards

Thankyou to all of the staff at this remarkable hotel. From my welcome to leaving I was treated so well. Great harbour view room+ position with lots to explore. The food is amazing but it's the staff who make this place so special. No matter who+ where you are from theres something to love here. Walks are great+ relaxing cant be helped! My husband was furious with staff (she served him coffee orders) I think her name was Victoria. She was very rude and cold. Of course My husband didn't say anything to Victoria because he is very kind and warm person not like Victoria.
He didn't understand why someone like Victoria works in hospitality area.
Definitely her behaviour wasn't really fit.
We would like go back to restaurant but definitely not having a coffee if she has same attitude.

I stayed & dined with my husband. We were so surprised by how magnificent it was; beautiful food, gorgeous spacious, clean & peaceful rooms, the service by staff was perfect. You can't beat the stunning location, and the hotel made it unforgettable. This grand old heritage dame of a hotel is in good hands & we can't wait to visit again. Superb, first class treatment and service from start to finish. Sam, Emma and team could not be more accommodating before and during our recent stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the loft with ocean views with our two young children along with the in-room dinner followed by lunch downstairs at the beach club where again the service was superb! The local surrounds such as the walk to the lighthouse and across the front along the bay was simply beautiful. Thank you for your wonderful service and overall genuine respect and kindness towards us.

My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and stayed a night in a Harbour Room at the hotel. The service from the front desk was wonderful! They welcomed us and helped us with everything we needed - they even gave us a complimentary bottle of bubbles to celebrate with our room service order. We had a beautiful view from a Harbour Room and enjoyed the proximity to the ferry. Would highly recommend staying there!

A thoroughly enjoyable stay. The front desk staff are excellent, providing great advice and resolving any issues you may encounter. Our king room which was spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. The aircon is almost too cold at any temperature setting, but welcomed on the warm and humid Sydney summer days/nights. The hotel is part of a pub, outdoor restaurant and wedding venue all in close proximity (underneath and adjacent) to the rooms - noise is definitely an issue for early and light sleepers. Wedding parties then to create the most noise till around midnight.

I know it's a budget hotel, but cleanliness should be a non-negotiable. The room is tiny and dusty, the bathroom awkward and the shower soaks the floor. There's even a notice telling you to keep the bathroom door shut or you may incur a $1500 fine if the steam sets the fire alarm off! Charming!

I visited here for lunch on a Thursday afternoon, a few people were milling about, but it was fairly quiet. It feels set up to have a great vibe on a sunny weekend. As a Melbourne gal being right on the water is a novelty, so the view is excellent. The staff were friendly. The salmon and rice bowl was so delicious! I would definitely recommend!

My wife and I Stayed here on Saturday night.
Sasha at reception checked us into our room. She was very informative and gave a great vibe!
We had lunch during a peak lunch trade, the fish and chips were amazing and it didn't take as long as you would expect with such a bust sunny days trade.
Later that night we had dinner and drinks. The steak was phenomenal, the seafood linguine was delicious and again the drinks were amazing!
The general Manager Gabe, the AGM Dom and their team were amazing!Thank you Watsons team! What a memorable weekend!

Spent New Year's Day celebrations here. Definitely not worth what they charged with a supposed 2hr bar tab which included very few drinks options and only two bars open which meant people barely got a drink at all. But nice views and the music was good.

Had our wedding reception here. Everything went perfectly smoothly thanks to the friendly, attentive, and professional staff members. The food and drinks were great, and the space was amazing, but what stuck out the most was their attention to detail to ensure that we were all well looked after. Thank you very much for making our special day so memorable, and keep up the amazing work!

Excellent location accessible with a small walk right off the ferry. It has both a beach view and a view looking out over the bay onto the city. To those who are looking to take advantage of the excellent walking tracks in the area they do sell water in bottles at the bar.

No complaints about our stay. Staff were pleasant and really helpful, went above and beyond to provide great service. Room was very nice and tidy. Enjoyed our meals at the restaurant downstairs. Convenient location - very close to the ferries and main road. My husband and I very much enjoyed our staycation and we're sad that we had to go. We will be coming back and maybe staying longer.

Vibrant, spacious, clean and enjoyable place to spend time with friends or family. Dog Friendly!! Food is very tasty. Great fish and seafood options. On the ferry stop, busses also stop here. Lots of parking but these fill up quickly especially on sunny days.

We stayed at Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel the night before and night of our wedding, along with our families. We used two of the gorgeous, harbour view suites for the gals and guys to each get ready in which was incredible. Gorgeous views and large for hair & makeup coming in. We had beautiful photos getting ready in the rooms. The staff were super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. So happy we stayed - highly recommend!

Spent 2 nights here in a harbour side room for my son's wedding at Dunbar House, just fantastic. Well appointed great view. Friendly staff. Great for a weekend escape.

Lovely location, lovely staff. Not good condition or cleanliness though.

This hotel has great vibes and a remarkable view! My friends and I really enjoyed our afternoon drinks here. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because their drink selection was pretty basic (nothing exciting or unique, just standard James squire and spirits) and they didn't have many gluten free food options. Would suggest they add a bit of variety in their drinks and more GF options to the food menu.

We had our cosy wedding lunch with our friends (15 people). It was super rainy day for that reason restaurant wasn't too busy, lucky us!
Staff was nice and welcoming.

Staff were lovely and friendly. Plenty of seating. Ordered grilled fish and vegetables for my son and to my surprise it was salmon. Great value for money especially in the area. Would be great if they sold food other than just seafood though

I booked a bottomless brunch for my best friends birthday over the Mother's Day weekend.
The booking process was so easy, I was able to call Watson's bay and ask any questions I wanted and I would have them answered straight away.
The day we had the bottomless brunch was amazing! The two waitresses we had on our table, Wallace and Paris went above and beyond to make my friends birthday the best it could be!!
We have already planned to have two more birthdays here in the coming year.
Not the mention the food and drinks was such a good price for the price we payed!! Would highly!!! Recommend !!!

First time ventured here in years and really enjoyed the venue and the views. the food was great too (salmon salad and also rigatoni). Special thanks to the barman Neil! What an absolute legend! Kept us entertained with good humour and positive vibes and great recommendation for cocktails! Came for a quick lunch but stayed all afternoon. George, Arthur& Mario

We booked in for the all you can drink Italian feast last week. When they say all you can drink, it really was, and SO much food. Usually at these bottomless bookings the service ignore eye contact with you but our beautiful brunette waitress (Jenna) was absolutely incredible and so were her spritzes. Great service, views, food and unlimited drinks...what more could you ask for? 5/5

Security guards are extremely rude and got no other things to do then bully on the guests. We had a friendly gathering with lots of people, we spend considerable amount of money on food and some on drinks . No-one was drank from the group but I guess we haven't had to be to get the security guard coming over and talking to us like they wanna kick us out for no reason. Even the waitress felt awkward because of the situation, on the other hand the service and all the workers were very nice except the security guards.
I used to go there quite often, but there are plenty of other places to go to where the guards can act properly.

Awesome place to sit in the sun and watch the harbour. Beers are a bit expensive as is the food but your paying for the view

Was a good service and amazing food, but really disappointed drinks, expensive and any flavour. We ordered 2 mojitos and we drank a lemonade. Sorry but it's true.
