First place I stopped into when I went to Wagga Wagga. The lunch I had was sensational. The lady serving me behind the counter showed me how to get my lunch special cheaper since I don't drink alcohol or soft drink. The staff helped me. Next time I'm in Wagga Wagga I will stop by for a meal.

First time here and not last. Good menu and average prices. Staff friendly. I ordered off the menu not specials but a similar special came out. No big drama as it was nice anyway.

The meal was really nice (after a small hiccup with the order system). The atmosphere was good - we were there on a trivia night, and that added to the fun.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a large group, and everyone was very happy with their meals. Meals were made very quickly, even with a busy Saturday night. Will keep coming back!

Generally meal was OK except, like most pubs, the chips are left in a warmer. When the meal is "finalised" the chips are either cold or luke warm.
I DO ask at the ordering station for chips to be hot but seems to get lost in the kitchen.

Frequented this pokies/pub, until I got fed up with the overall disrespectful nature of this bar-tender. I asked to buy a energy drink, she said that they were complementary if I was playing the pokies. I was so that was fine, except no matter how I presented she muttered things under her breath. Came to check frequently if I was playing the machines even when there was clearly money on them... Then had a go at me for playing a 1 cent to 50 cent bet. It's not okay to treat customers this way and especially in a pokies... To try to guilt trip people to spend more is against the rules. If you don't want to provide complementary drinks then don't but don't try to act superior over others because you think you are in a position of power to do so.

We really enjoyed our experience at the Turvey Tavern. The meals were lovely. The staff were very helpful & friendly.

Decent pub food, friendly attendants, quiet on a Monday for dinner. ...would have rated higher but the disgusting casino perfume they pump into the pokies lounge was radiating into the dining area and completely altered our enjoyment of the meal and chat we were trying to have. I could taste the smell of pokies and that's not my vibe for dinner.

Steak sandwich was good, not great, not terrible. Beer selection was limited to mainstream lines, again, not bad just not a great variety.

The refit is excellent, great food, trivia night was a blast

Had dinner here on Friday night and I must say that the food was delectable within an extremely clean bistro, followed by a punt in the gaming room, was an all round good evening out!

I visited this place on a Public holiday with a group of 4. The food was good and the prices reasonable with no holiday surcharge. The menu was limited because of the holiday and meals could not be customised, so you couldn't substitute chips for vegetables or even eliminate vegetables from a dish ( just one example). This is the reason for my rating. I do recommend this as a good place for a family meal and children are welcome.

Pork belly and panacotta dessert.
Very generous meal, tender and full of flavour. Panna Cotta was also great. Staff friendly and helpful.

I've been sampling the $12 rump lunches around wagga. I always go for veggies and mash and side of mushroom sauce. So far TP hotel up there with the best of them. Good quality meat and really nicely cooked veg. Mash let it down just a bit. Otherwise - great meal that I couldn't cook at home for the same coin.

Nicely renovated and spacious. Staff were polite and attentive, meal came quickly and was delicious. Servings were big and prices were good. I'd go back.

What a transformation!! The ole Turvey Tavern, now The Turvey Hotel is incredible. Meals are fantastic and the beer icey cold.
Can't beat that.

Good food at a decent price. You'll get a slightly larger serving at other pubs nearby, but that's dependant on the day. When the renovations are complete this will be a surprisingly lovely watering hole.

Excellent service n meap. Had the beer battered flathead was pretty damn good. Topped it off with a wild turkey. Loved the atmosphere will def be back

Renovations are currently underway but the majority of the space is in perfect working order. The food was fantastic and has been added back to our regular list of pubs to head back to!
