As a local visit the bottle shop for its convenience to my home. The blonde woman who serves is the antithis of hospitality ..cold rude and arrogance . Bless the other staff who deal W the complaints as I don't feel I'm the only one of this opinion
The ambience of the pokie area is that of another venue. staff on the ball and pleasant.

The $30 rump steak is better than most places charging double! Bloody awesome food and a cozy atmosphere with young family's and dogs! Don't be intimidated by the outside, go inside and grab a yummy dinner and a nice cold bevvy :)

Went for lunch with some friends. Food was awful. Pork and veal meatball linguine, looked like dog food and I wouldn't say it was far off tasting like it, $30 so expensive, my friend had the steak he didn't eat that either, ended up sharing chips between us after spending over $50 on un edible food.

Great pub except sometimes bar staff on their phones while your waiting to get served.
Poker machine staff the best. They cannot do enough for you.
Food enjoyable.

We only attended for the food, and the entrees, which were s&p squid and cheeseburger spring rolls were absolute perfection, will 100% be returning for the squid, the mains were parmi with chips and salad which was delicious and a sirlion (rare) with chips and salad and i gotta say, although the steak was cooked perfectly, it was flavourless. All i could taste was meat and the grilled part. There was no pre seasoning or anything. Wouldn't pay $38 for it again. Otherwise, it wasn't terrible.

I had the rump steak with chips salad and gravy. The steak was the worst I have had in many years. It was chewy and rare not medium. I could only eat about half of it and that was an effort. The gravy was watery and the worst gravy I have ever had. I complained and the waiter apologised, said no one had ever complained before and also said the chef was new. I did get a refund and at least the salad and chips were fine. The food used to be very good but wow, I was bowled over at how bad it was this time.

I went on steak special night and asked to swap the fried for mash potatoes. The staff said that was not possible (which must be the only place in Australia that doesn't swap fries for mash). They explained that when the dish is on special they can't swap which I thought is fair enough. So I checked with my partner if they really wanted the mash. Then we decided to order one out of the special with the Mash swap and one in the special with the fries. Payed 85.26$ for this plus some entrees. Later on only one main dish arrived and then I learned that the staff only ordered one dish even though there was a hole conversation about how it should be. Then they came to the table to charge for the additional main dish which at this point I thought I needed to check the bill to see if wasn't charged because 85 seemed a bit excessive. They really didn't demonstrate that they want to bring the bill and then I learned that to swap the fries for Mash you have to pay an ADDITIONAL 5$!!! So at the end of the day we got the exactly same dish, one for 22$ with fries and one for 35$$ with mash. I've no idea what's going on with this place but it seems like the staff is either not trained properly or the owners are stingy as.

Watched the AFL here last night. The vibe is half what it used to be sadly and the food was just dreadful. Waited 15 minutes to get served for a drink during the first qtr. For a so called Sydney Swans venue to only have 2 staff behind the bar on game night is just disappointing. The $29 lamb shank pie was awful, poorly presented with LAYERS of fat (see pictures), watered down mash potatoes with little flavour and a burger that was very very well done and burnt bread. Just sad really.

Trivia night was fun. Chips were amazing.
We are semi regulars here. And the quality of the food can vary.
Could do with a more interesting menu. But otherwise the venue is a typical Aussie pub. Dog friendly ?

It's just friendliest lovely place this pub.
From most wonderful management to their personal and solid trendy and classic pub meal.
Love coming here.
Trivia night was fun the other night but unfortunately we had to leave earlier.
Just wanted to apologise for that.
( and we were doing so very well ?)
Love the dogs in the pub ... I really love dogs but maybe if too many inside and barking can be little bit annoying..?

Kids meals are impressive and value for money.
The main bar was strange but I'm not into taking a Greyhound to the pub to sit on my lap either.

The personnel are super friendly and helpful, but the gambling machines are a bit worn out and need to be updated.
Nice environment, decor and terrace upstairs, so perfect for a lunch/dinner & a drink of course!, Check it out guys, cv

This used to be a really good pub. Lately no one seems to care and I drag myself here out of loyalty as a regular who used to be here every week. Today was the last straw. The food is consistently getting worse. The squid today was an oily mess, the chips tasted of dirty old oil and the bao bun as tough as an old shoe. Walk a few extra blocks to The Woolpack for a much better pub experience. The Woolpack has better food, better wine and better service. Sorry Tudor today was my last time.

Classic Aussie pub that serves great food. Sunday roast, duck pasta, calamari and dessert were all top notch. Duck pasta was really great! Has all the usual pub fare, pokies, smoking area, bar etc. Definitely a nice place to try.

The Tudor is a great place to engage socially, whether it be on a personal or professional basis. It is low key and budget friendly. I found the staff to be very approachable.

Thank you Tudor Hotel.

Jacob the venue manager was incredibly friendly and accommodating of our party of 5.

His wonderful banter and consideration is what makes these neighbourhood pubs such an important part of Sydney's culture and entertainment.

Looking forward to my next stout here.

Decent enough place with a small but functional roof terrace. Some decent choices of craft beer on tap. Looks like a pretty old place. Was busy when I went in but the staff were good so the service was quick.

Of Course the other Redfern Street Pub, The Tutor is open now too. And still as friendly as ever. I'll remind you of the lounge & dinning areas where you can get lunch and dinner at a fair price. There's the large public bar, the Poker area and the outside eating/drinking area which is perhaps the drawcard at this pub for me.
Don't forget your Proof of Vaccination if you want to come in.

We came here for trivia. They gave us a high chair. Trivia was so good, started 730, finished at 9. It was good and quick. The questions were achievable but still challenging and the host was great. The food was good. We got the cauliflower bao and unfortunately it was a really small piece of cauliflower but otherwise was tasty. We will come back here for trivia again. On a Wednesday. Close to the Station as well

A very good local boozer. It has a community focus, normally a very good selection of rotating beers. Historically well preserved 30s bar and Smokey but pleasant outdoor space. Has not succumbed to the pressures of unrealistic posh (craft) beer pricing.

I didnt stay here, however, I come here regularly with my friends and partner for food. Food is always good and atmosphere is great. I would of given it 5 stars however, you guys have really moody stuff. Especially the girls behind the bar act like they own the joint super rude and need a reality check. Apart from bratty self entitled staff its really good place

Enjoyed lunch with friends and watched the Rugby today. Great venue. We had the pork belly salad which was absolutely sensational in addition to being a very generous serving. Bar staff were extremely efficient.WELL DONE TEAM THANK YOU FOR A VERY PLEASANT AFTERNOON.
