Fresh beers on tap, absolutely phenomenal burgers, delicious lamb cutlets, and crispy schnitzel - if you want a great dinner experience in a pub setting, this place is a good one to try. Staff are always friendly and the views from the outside seating area over Lake Mac are absolutely gorgeous.

Couple all of this with the fact that Toronto Pub seems to attract well-known artists such as Jimmy Barnes, The Whitlams, The Angels, Thirsty Merc, and The Screaming Jets (just to name a few), and Toronto Pub is definitely the best place to be in Lake Macquarie.

Great location, food is quite good just the service is very inadequate. Renovations have been going on for ages and are very disrupting I imagine. I had the special T-bone with garlic and chilli seafood. I love chilli but this had too much spice in it. The Steak 300g was really only cooked on one side for $49 ????". Will review again once all renovations are completed.

Best and largest beer garden anywhere with a lake view. Free live music Fri, Sat, Sun and a huge screen to watch sport, plenty of heating and jumping castle for the kids.
Live on the Lake Concerts with to top it all off.

Ordered the porterhouse steak for $38, they stuffed up and gave mine to another person's order and gave me someone elses rump steak. I knew something was wrong and took it back to complain only to be told "No that is my order", I acknowledge they were busy but were really rude about it. Fortunately I found out who took my order and was able swap but with no help from their staff.

The pub is lovely. The staff are very friendly and the food is really good. The heaters are lovely and warm. I only gave 3 stars because of the smoking. We come for the pub choir and have dinner also but the smokers in the enclosed outdoor area ( which says No Smoking ) really spoils it. It spoils your meal and it spoils trying to sing while breathing in this stink which is technically a closed in area as the screens are done to keep the cool air out and the heaters more effective.
It should be a no smoking zone in all of this area.

Went for lunch with family staff members very helpful friendly and professional unfortunately our entrees were forgotten and brought out cold after our main meals arrived.
Main meals were very good well presented and wonderful flavour.
Would still recommend you give it a try for yourself good atmosphere and great views.

Netty. Was. Here. For the $15 Lunch Menu (midweek) don't get me wrong this is a beautiful location. I was recommended the Beef Burger but was hanging for a spicy kick and went with the Southern Fried Chicken Burger.

The bun fell to pieces in my hand, the chicken was dry and all the sauce was soaked into the bread. Overall if the stacking was done a little different I could have had a better time of it. The sauce needs to cover the chicken so it doesn't soak into the bread. Cheese between the chicken. The chips tho; that herb salt is really tasty and was the delight of my meal. With a schooner of beer totalled $22.50.

Staff were reasonably friendly, but didn't care to listen to my feedback, so I had to leave it here instead. Hopefully once all renovations are done I can come back and have a better experience.

The outdoor beer garden is immaculately done with the big screen. I could image it would be a great spot to catch all the big sport matches.

Went for lunch today 4 people. Our order took over an hour and 15 minutes after lots and lots of confusion as to which meals we had ordered . Finally our meal was ready and cold . Very ordinary service. Below average pub food for the price . Good location and most of the staff were pleasant , but doesn't mean anything if the experience was disspointing !

Such a nice Hotel it will be fantastic when It's finished being renovated. Sitting on the balcony to watch the bands was great but you are watching over the pergola blow. A lovely sea breeze kept the temperature down.
The stools could be more comfortable. Awesome service and a nice selection of small meals were available at reasonable prices. If you sat downstairs there was a different menu to choose from and you had larger tables to sit at and could dance on the grass.
It's an Awesome venue with a great atmosphere.

New Year's Eve was just so amazing..!
The new deck, the fantastic bar staff, the concert, the whole event was planned so well.!
It wasn't overcrowded, everyone was accommodated for.
I highly recommend going back for more..!

I have lunch with a group of friends every month for the last couple of years, and the last 2 months I have been quite disappointed with the food. The fish and chips was very good, 3 pieces of fish with chips and a nice salad. The chicken schnitzels were quite big and juicy. Now, however, the fish and chips are 1 big piece of fish, that doesn't really taste nice, and the salad leaves much to be desired. The chicken schnitzel is smaller and over cooked. The chicken burgers are very dry and tough. We used to get sweet potato chips but they're not on the menu. The sweet potato wedges, which are now on the menu, are under cooked. If the old chef has gone, get them back. If there's a new chef, sack him !

I have stayed in the refurbished rooms which are really good. I have also been to the pub part and had meals upstairs and in the Bistro. All over very good. Often has great music; watched James Raine perform in the garden area early 2022. Awesome show!

We needed an unexpected repair to our van so, after dropping it off with Craig at Jack's Caravan Repairs, we headed into Toronto for lunch.

Picking the Toronto Hotel was completely random, but proved ideal for parking, seating with a great view and very enjoyable food (the calamari was a treat).

The place was well patronized but the friendly staff kept up with customer needs.

Had my partners Wake there. It's a beautiful location. The service and food were great. Customer service with Jocelyn in getting it organised was wonderful. They took care of everything and nothing was a hassle. Thank you for making a sad day stress free and as enjoyable as can be under the circumstances

Food is good and great value, I'm from out of town but was really impressed that this pub doesn't use those fake headmaster glasses, I asked the bar person and he told me the boss doesn't like them, well that tells me the publican is fair dinkum about serving a good beer, headmaster glasses are everywhere nowadays and a good beer shouldn't need them, I think the pub will be great after the reno's.

Busy, very family friendly. Meals were good. Was a bit difficult to get service, bar staff constantly on the move and not looking at the bar.

Beautiful period pub. Attended a wedding in their reception area upstairs. The staff were lovely, the food was good and the bar staff were very knowledgeable with there suggestions for our drinks. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Not the first time I've had a meal here & won't be the last. The staff are friendly & helpful. Meals are very generous, menu changes quite often, but retains standard " pub style " meals. Prices are reasonable.

Really fantastic pub great service and the views are wonderful. Inside and outside seating, even a beer garden that has a lot of grass area for the kids to run on.
They even have live music on the weekends.
The menu had a big variety of foods, from the chicken snitzel to fish and chips also fresh oysters fresh seafood. Very reasonable prices
Service at the bar was friendly and quick.

Ate at The Mulberry which was amazing. The tapas are sensational and the cocktail menu is hard to beat. The atmosphere is good though can be loud when the doors are closed. The staff are 5 star.

Quaint historic old school feel. If you love pubs you get a good vibe from this one. Upstairs offers a big wrap around verandah with some water views and comfortable lounge areas. Food is always well prepared and tasty. Nice basic pub grub. Staff welcoming. Mix of patrons but old and young welcome.

A great spot with views over Lake Macquarie. It's nice to see the old building has been restored since I was last there a decade ago... the wrought iron around the restored balconies is just lovely...
Great value meals.. the Thai Beef Salad was beautiful and a hefty sized serving for $19...
There was some confusion over the coffee orders but it was worth the wait as it was good coffee..
Plenty of room to sit and eat in and outdoors ...

Excellent venue for live music, great atmosphere and comfortable. Staff were professional and helpful. Kudos to Rod and Shannon. Only negative is the lack of access to the Mulberry Room for disabled.

Really cool little hotel. Beautiful setting and the food was excellent. It was a bit windy so we couldn't sit outside but it looked really nice out there. We had a really great time.

Old style pub with a friendly environment. The staff are friendly and helpful. The menu is plentiful with good choice of meals.The bar is well stocked with all sorts drinks beers and wine.Plenty of parking which is all ways a good thing.
