Rooms was ok. In the middle of the village so near anything. Feels old but all good. Parking is a problem as it's limited. Men trying to clean up the drainage as early as 6:30 AM so you can hear them walking on the roof.

Really enjoyed the friendly people and prime location literally across the street from the chairlifts and gondolas. I'm not sure how the rooms go for winter comfort but we were missing an aircon in early summer (cool weather max 24C). Moved to a room not on the top floor and it was cooler, and the nice gal at the front desk moved our bags and fridge stuff while we did the Ko?ciuszko summit hike. Such a great surprise when we got back pretty tired and didn't have to move our stuff down the stairs. No lifts, something I really felt when limping up and down after the return trip down the track did a number on my knee, made that extra customer service even sweeter.

Sorry, must have been a phone issue. We attended the Sneaky event. Was well organised, entry was a bit long, but probably more to do with timing. The bar staff were great and it moved quickly.

Beautiful hotel. Nice and quiet when there is no snow before the MTB gets there. Staff were awesome, considering there wasn't many guests left. Didn't feel like anything was too hard. Some awesome rooms.

Beautiful location, love the hotel interior. The room was lovely and we had a balcony that looked out to the mountains.

Only big flaw for us was the bed in room 314. It was two single mattresses pushed together, both were sunken in and either they are as old as the hotel or they've let an elephant sleep on them. I ended up trying to sleep at the very top edge to just find some flat area to get comfy. Otherwise felt like I was in a bowl. We had two bad nights sleep because of it, if we were there longer we would've asked if they could change the mattress.

Location is perfect and we continue to stay there each visit but the beds need improving please!

Great location but for gods sake, please spend some money on it.
Food in all outlets is absolutely abysmal, you'd literally get better food at a football stadium, and the bars have not seen a coat of paint since at least 1998, and no I'm not joking, they all look exactly the same including the carpet and the smell.
Thredbo is such a great beautiful natural environment, but it could be so much better if it at least attempted to catch up to the rest of the world and put some focus into their food and beverage outlets and offerings.
It's the biggest let down of this resort, and the one reason that it can't rate as a world class resort.

I love the 'warmth' of this hotel. Staying true to its 1960s roots, I felt right at home in this hotel. Comfortable rooms, super comfortable bed!

Excellent location - everything is close by, including affiliated restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Decent facilities: on-site restaurants, lounge area - nice area to relax and read a book.

I particularly liked their policy of giving you $15 off your bill for every day you choose to not have your room cleaned. It's eco-friendly and saves the guest money. I personally don't think it is necessary to clean the room or replenish towels, soap, etc everyday so works perfectly for me.

On the negative side, room walls are wafer-thin: could hear my neighbours' conversations. Noise from the outside courtyard area also got through, which is not great as on my last night some people were having a party in the courtyard until very late at night.

Bathroom is also a bit small.

Great location, though no lifts to get to upper levels, rooms very hot. Fans available but made it quite uncortable being in the room.

This is a fantastic location and hotel. We visited during summer in December (temp 3-10 C) and had a very warm and comfortable stay. All attractions are close by like the valley terminal for the chair lift and gondola, MTB hires and MTB riding routes. This is a base for everyone trying to do the 13km Mount Kosciuszko hike. Nice kids park that includes bike stunt area and trampolines. Lots of activities to keep kids happy and engaged. Even the Thredbo river is just a few walking steps away and allow picnic opportunities on its bank. The hotel is located in a very scenic spot at the base of surrounding mountains.. it's bustling yet a very peaceful place. Shops and other eateries nearby at walking distance . Very happy with our stay and we'll to be back for winter.

The resort is awesome and is super mountain bike friendly,
Who ever is reading this should know they have a huge area for bike storage and easy access to the the chair lifts a hundred yards away , our room had snow capped mountain views and I biked all day while my wife relaxed and read books or went for walks it was a win win location , parking at the hotel was great , the pub is a minute away with great food and beer and a lively friendly atmosphere, but its far enough away so is not noisy , staff are very helpful and the lifts and bike park are world class , if you mountain bike and want to stay in the heart of Thredbo this is the place to be , early December is the dream and the park runs mint , if I could give it a 11 out of 10 I would !

Stayed here for 1 night for a first time visit. Was hoping to do the Mount Kosciuszko Summit, however, it was still heavily snowing on the mountain. Staff very quick with replies. Stayed in room 123, a double bed room with view looking onto the mountains. Nice size and comfy bed. Only negative was that the thermostat took a little time to get going, however, nothing horrible. Was able to find a car spot, however, im guessing in summer this would be hard to find. Nice and close to chairlifts across road. Will be staying here again.

We went there right before the end of season.
Not much snow from the hotel, but still quite nice snowy mountain view from our room.

Super close to everything. 5mins walk to lift chair and visitor center. Super recommended if want to save some time on road and relax after ski ??

Friendly stuffs offered us quite lots handy tips on nearby facilities.

Oh, don't miss out on Saturday fireworks! Worth the wait! Best view from the balcony of the Italian restaurant next door!

Stayed during a big weekend of pro skiers and snow boarders and Friday and Saturday had DJs playing songs that the crowd loved from 3:30-7ish. We were in the pit earlier but joined in from our room when the crowds were shoulder to shoulder. Awesome music, awesome night and the fireworks went off too.

The staff here have gone over the top in sorting out our original booking to making us feel totally at home during our stay. Every single staff member is friendly and super helpful, especially when my youngest smashed their MCL on the hill! The rooms are comfortable and the ambience of the whole facility is great. I will pick this Hotel every time in the future.

One of the best accommodations in Thredbo for sure. The staff was very friendly, the bar inside close to the fireplace made our stay even more cosy. The bedrooms are quite simple but has everything you need. I'll be back for sure

My husband and I stayed here this weekend. We have stayed here before except this time it was our 10 year anniversary. On arrival there was champagne and a card stating congratulations on our anniversary. The room was immaculate, and warm with a great view of the mountains, and breakfast was delicious . We ordered room service one night and it came within 20 mins and was hot and tasted amazing. Thank you for an amazing stay. We will be back ?

We stayed here at the start of autumn this year to hike up Mount Kosciusko. The service was great, the rooms were clean but very small and the location was pretty good. No lifts at the hotel you will have to carry your luggage up stairs.

We stayed at the Thredbo Alpine Hotel during the school holidays. The hotel is in a great location - close to everything you need in Thredbo like chair lifts, restaurant and bars. The room was a good size with comfortable beds and nice little extras included like hot chocolate and sunscreen. My only complaint is that the walls are very thin and you can hear all your neighbours quite easily.

The Alpine Hotel has a great ski resort feel..even in summer. The room was exceptionally clean, staff were very friendly and helpful. Stayed on a Saturday night and there was live music in the courtyard, such an amazing atmosphere. 30 seconds walk to the chair lifts, restaurants, or the bus to Friday Flats. Free parking for guests (till 10am on day of check out). No complaints!
