The Tamworth Hotel, my favourite country pub.
When the current owners took over a few years ago the Hotel was a ramshackle building that had not been refurbished for many years. There was no service and nothing worked, including the staff.
Now, with the benefit of some well thought out alterations, it is just fabulous in every way. The bars are intimate and and exceptionally clean, everything shines. The bar staff are ever attentive.
The dining room is always pumping with ever changing menus using seasonal produce & serving the best steak in the land, Jack's Creek.
Outside the beer garden attracts a lively young crowd.
Even the upstairs accommodation has been renovated, and the public's acceptability evidences its approval. It's hard to get a room sometimes.
This is old fashioned hospitality & fine food and lodging at its very finest.
