I absolutely love this place, the wonderful atmosphere, the amazing friendly and helpful staff that would bend over backwards to make sure your experience is top tier.

I even brought my dog and was hesitant with the no dogs signs but after asking they were more that happy to allow my furry friend into the venue and even took the liberty of coming out and giving her some little tid bits of food which I thought was amazing.

The food was certainly something to mention as well, the scotch fillet absolutely melted in my mouth and the snitty was not finished and we had to take it away. !!!!

Compliments for the chef's endlessly!!!

Came for lunch for my Dad's birthday. We waited over an hour and 15min for our food. When it came out the $30 schnitzel (with added pepper sauce) was dry and overcooked. The salad was minuscule as I was able to fit it in my mouth in one bite. The sauce was horrendous, it tasted like they added 2 Tsp of pepper to some gravy. Others on my table received completely different portion sizes (most of us ordered schnitzels). They received ordered Diane sauce but it tasted like pure mustard mixed with gravy...

My sister in law waited the longest (hour and a half) and still didn't get her food. We had to go to the kitchen and ask where it was. They did give her a refund for her food which was their saving grace...

I've been there three times now and will not be returning..

A quintessential Aussie country music history lesson, with a side of brilliant pub-grub and live music. Don't forget to check out the Beer Church while you're there!

Love going to these historic country pubs, great atmosphere and lots of memorabilia, plenty of seating options indoor, outdoor and in the garden. Very friendly staff and quick service.
Great menu with traditional pub food that came really quickly and was excellent value for money.
Will definitely be back on Sunday for live music- can't wait

Lovely little pub, alot of music memorabilia and the little church behind the pub is worth a look, definitely not the holy spirit that worshipped there .. more the distilled kind of spirit

One of my favourite pubs. I have relatives who grew up here so a very sentimental place. For a pub in the middle of nowhere, the history is so rich, rendered through rustic charm where the design and photos do the talking.

Oh and a solid beer list and very tasty pub food. The Dusty Lager a hero beverage to tipple on the verandah.

Such an awesome Aussie bush pub. Do yourself a favour, make the drive, have a drink and something to eat and enjoy it.

A lovely pub with some cool Slim Dusty memorabilia. Reasonably priced food and drink and an area where you can eat if you ( like us) are travelling with your dog. Unfortunately it was raining and that particular area isn't covered so we didn't stop for a meal. Next time we will choose a nicer day!

Really pretty, full of memorabilia and some lovely handmade wood tables. Despite the name there is a good selection of beers both on tap and in bottles as well as the range you would expect from a well stocked bar. The steak and mushroom pies, available all day are worth trying, and the kitchen opens at 5.30pm for a full meal including burgers, steak, lamb and crumped seafood. Large outdoor areas and plenty of seating in the bar and bistro. Welcoming staff and a wonderful house dog who made us feel very welcome.

Spent 3 nights in this small town. Pub was great and locals had the fire going. Meals on weekend when larger crowds turn up, locals during the week.
Plenty of slim dusty memorabilia to read through.
Photo is the small church out back...full of a beer can collection

Food was delicious! The drive be over was nice and scenic, lovely atmosphere. The restaurant was spacious and quite clean, and the bar had many things to look at. Better fries then most places ?
Would recommend - and we will be back!

Visited last week with my wife and elderly parents. Whilst the memorabilia is fun and interesting and the beer was very good, sadly the food was atrocious. One piece of the fried barramundi was as black as if it had been found at the bottom of the deep fryer and the chicken schnitzel was dry and tough enough to re-sole your boots. If it had only been my wife and I we would have sent the food back. Never again....

Great place to visit. We thought maybe it would be basic pub food but the special menu added variety. We chose to eat in the garden or shall I say out doors. Picturesque drive from Macksville. Ambience in the main building with historic photos and memorbillia great. Friendly staff. A great outing with lovely north coast weather.

A great little country style pub. They can cater for a large amount of people. The publican goes out of his way to ensure everyone is looked after. A must visit pub.

Cheap pints, cheap good food and a happy hour. This place is fantastic if your camping in the field below. Lots of love music and a rich history. If your driving along the motorway I'd highly recommend stopping off to visit the pub with no beer. PS loads of beer on tap!
