A surprisingly great place to dine at. We had a large family lunch here, felt more like a high end venue than a local hotel. Restaurant area simply stunning. Atmosphere , food quality and menu fab, prices very reasonable. 10/10

Had a wonderful experience staying at the Junction Hotel. My sister and I stayed in Room 1 and it was lovely! A generous sized room located in the heart of the Junction close to shops and other amenities. The staff were so very helpful and accommodating. I was concerned it may be a little noisy being above a pub and near a main thoroughfare but it was so quiet!
Had dinner in the pub that last night we were there and it was delicious. Will definitely be going back!

Great large king room. Perfect for a night away. Food downstairs was delicious! Walked to the beach after dinner. Friendly helpful staff. Slept like a baby! Will definitely visit again.

Fantastic venue with professional and friendly restaurant staff. The menu offers such a great range of dishes, starting with freshly toasted corn bread, salads, steak, seafood, delicious salads, pasta's, and so much more. The wine, cocktail and champagne lists are extensive. Mostly indoor dining with a little outdoor as well.

Such a hot day so having the glass wall open up was wonderful. Very comfortable and we were made to feel welcome including with a toddler. The food was delicious: unpretentious good nosh; and the service was excellent. I have already recommended face to face and it was only last night.

What a fabulous Pub!
I come up from Sydney and stayed for a work event. From the moment that I arrived until I left, I was so looked after. My room was one of the cleanest hotel rooms I have seen in such a long time. The restaurant served really great food. The work event went very well. Thanks Emily and Mardi for looking after us. I'll certainly be back.

A great dining experience. Restaurant ambience was lovely with loads of natural light. Tables spacious and seating comfortable. The food was fabulous, generous and well priced. And the service was top shelf. We'll be back for sure.

I have had the pleasure of visiting the Junction Hotel on numerous occasions, and each visit has been an absolute delight. During a recent experience, I found myself being quite particular about my food selection and decided to order an alternative dish for lunch. The staff at the hotel were incredibly gracious and went above and beyond to meet my request. Their level of attentiveness and understanding truly impressed me, and I am grateful for their thoughtfulness. It is clear that the owners of the Junction Hotel possess exceptional skills in managing customer expectations, a task that can often be challenging. I am sincerely appreciative of their outstanding service and feel compelled to share this with others.

My friend and I had a lovely lunchtime experience. We wanted somewhere special for our rare catchup, and the beautiful ambience in the restaurant here definitely provided. Gorgeous! The service was amazing, and is really what has prompted my review. We very much appreciated the care shown towards our comfort and enjoyment, and honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about that. Thank you.

I needed a venue for a large group for a very special milestone Birthday for a ladies lunch. The Junction Hotel came to the rescue delivering a wonderful afternoon that was amazing in every way. The food came out in a timely manner beautifully presented. The tables were decorated with fresh flowers and they welcomed custom balloon table arrangement. They brought out the specialty Birthday cakes and lit the candles for us too.
The Management and staff are extremely professional yet friendly and approachable and are keen to make your function a memorable day. It is the classiest Hotel in Newcastle and I highly recommend. I very much look forward to dining in person or arranging another function futuristically. Thank you Junction Hotel for the perfect Birthday afternoon.

I took three friends who had never eaten here before and they were completely amazed! Choice and quality of food was next level as usual. It was so cosy (and busy) for a Monday night! This place is a go to that never fails

Highly recommend The Junction Hotel for quality food and more so, outstanding customer service from their waitstaff and manager Anthony. The staff, in particular Anthony, went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great dining experience. After disclosing a severe allergy, he made sure that the kitchen staff used extreme care to prepare my food and he personally stayed back after his shift to deliver our food to the table and informed us of all the steps he took to make sure the food was safe. As someone with a severe allergy it is incredibly difficult to find an establishment in the Newcastle region that takes such care and empathy to prepare safe allergy friendly food. For those with allergies, it is a game of roulette when dining out and often anxiety provoking. Fortunately, I was made to feel comfortable and relaxed and enjoyed eating here. The food was fresh, beautifully presented and delicious.
Again, highly recommend and we will be back with family and friends. Thank you.

I highly recommend the Junction Hotel. The room was modern and clean and the staff were so friendly. Good location within walking distance or quick uber to main the streets of Newcastle. We got a $40 voucher for breakfast the next morning which was also amazing.

Heads up, not a new relationship type of hotel... the shower is open to the bedroom.

We had a great dinner here, menu was extensive, specials were a good mix of options. I had the crispy skinned barramundi special that was absolutely delicious. We were a group of 5 people and we all really enjoyed our meal. We had table service for our drinks as well.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Amazing rooms, very large and modern design. The whole hotel and downstairs bar and restaurant had an awesome vibe.

Included in our stay was a $40 breakfast voucher which was a welcome surprise to us.
The food was delicious. The service was top notch. Can't fault it.

The Junction Tavern is a very well run establishment. The staff are experienced, attentive and are ready to assist their customers and make dining a relaxing experience.
The food is always well presented, timely and cooked to perfection and arrives as per the menu described it.
The restaurant is smart and up to date, well set out and has great atmosphere.
All of the above is what I like about the Junction Tavern and that is why I keep coming back.

Absolutely fabulous. Great food, huge wine selection and the best staff. Definitely worth a visit.
They also have accommodation up stairs, I haven't been up there but I have heard the rooms are fantastic.

Lovely place to stay. Room was stylish and clean and great care was taken to give me a tour of the place on arrival. Nice bar downstairs which was buzzing when I arrived but I couldn't hear a thing from my room and slept well on the comfy bed! Will be back �'�

Staff were attentive and friendly making us feel welcomed and relaxed.
We started with cocktails which were delicious!
The wine list is comprehensive, offering wines from all the major wine regions in Australia and around the world.
We had the Charcuterie share plate between the four of us and mains each.
Overall, it was a great night out! As I looked around, I saw everyone was enjoying themselves which added to the atmosphere. I'll be back!

Outstanding! A regular for us. I would go as far as to say that this is one of, if not the best food in Newcastle. The staff are wonderful and go out of their way to accommodate you. Thanks crew. 😊

Very friendly and helpful staff. Can't hear the restaurant down downstairs. Everything was clean and AirCon was set to 21deg upon arrival.

Friendly, polite and helpful staff, even on a busy Sat night. Food was amazing, far beyond the calibre of just good pub food. This is next level. Accomodation is recommended. Renovated rooms that are definitely more small boutique motel than upscale pub accomodation. Good location, good crowd.

Extremely well appointed and new accommodation located above a bar/restraunt within walking distance to the beach. The bar/restraunt itself is also new and well appointed with an excellent wine list and great food.Couldnt have asked for better accommodation, and the very modest pricing was an added bonus.

Lovely Pub lunch. I went for the classic Schnitty with gravy and chips which was great. The Hot Smoked Salmon Salad was delicious according to my wife.

Enjoyed lunch here for the first time today. Covid safe, modern decor and a great selection of food and drinks. Quick and friendly service Id thoroughly recommend The Junction Hotel.

Excellent food and service in pleasent surrounds.

We loved our room which was number 1. This is in a clean modern design. Every room has a diffrent colour theme . It is located fairly central shops near by. Food was although not disappointing .Husband enjoyed his beef ribs which where tender, rich in flavour . I had the Steak and cooked medium rare as ordered. Recommending this place. It's a gem, next time we in Newcastle we know where to stay.

As always very good my favorite is salt and pepper squid and oldie but a goodie staff are courteous ,have recently up graded the hotel and looks great

Very nice meals and much quieter now with restricted number which was great.

Great that the pubs are back open. Was a good feed and a nice cold Stone & Wood.
