What a delightful hotel with a picturesque setting in a quiet country town opposite luscious grass shaded land which borders the river. What more could you ask for. The food is excellent as I was served a delicious rump steak on a bed of mash potatoes with beans and cauliflower on the side and cooked to perfection. My mate enjoyed a wonderful chicken and pesto dish with salad and chips and he wasn't dissatisfied at all. I did enjoy a few thirst quenching Coopers on tap and they do have all the flavours for one to enjoy. The staff are very friendly and the service reflected the location. It's not often you walk away feeling so happy and content when you happen upon a new place that is a real gem.

Love this place. Great food, atmosphere and accomodating for kids and large groups.
Only thing I would comment on is it would be nice to be able to order food before 6pm. Even if the kitchen opened at 5pm this would make it easier for families. Also I think there is something wrong with the toilets, there is always a terrible smell as soon as you start walking towards them.

Lovely little country pub with great food!
Delicious scotch fillet that you could tell was local and fresh (not frozen) and my husband enjoyed the laksa.

The only feedback I would suggest is a small play area for toddlers in the outside area would be amazing ?

Im travelling Australia and eat out a fair bit and this meal would be the best I think I can remember. A special of Roasted lamb rump cooked to perfection, fresh green beans and fresh chat potatoes dressed in a scrumptious red wine jus. I ate it all! $28

The two girls that served me were super friendly too.

Meals were great for the price. Staff are super friendly and do their work efficiently and with a smile on their faces. Sat in the beer garden as I had the dogs with me and they were also made to feel welcome. If you're in the area it's really worth popping in.

What a fantastic pub, based overlooking the Macleay River in this fantastic little town called Gladstone. Staff were very pleasant and the bangers and mash where just as Nan made them. Don't miss this great old restored pub . DROP in for a drink and or a great fead and Relax.

Congratulations to the owners for the Reno, ambience, food and service , beaut location to enjoy for friends and families to enjoy . There's a need to have a staff member servicing upstairs for food and beverage orders as There's 2 flights of stairs to negotiate to place your orders ,OK for my group ,no so for less mobile clientele. Well done cheers Colin

The heritage hotel was very nice
My family and I had lunch there
The menu is excellent. A good variety of meals. I chose lobster.was a fair price which was great. The service was exceptional. Being a busy Sunday with the markets on. The waiting time for lunch wasn't very long. I will look forward to another visit there in the near future.

What a gem in a great location. Staying in Scott's head and with not many options, this popped up as an option. The drive was well worth it. Lots of different areas, large beer garden, indoor seating and up in the balcony. Service was great as were our meals. Pub has a tonne of character and chilled vibe to spend your sunsets at.

Beautiful day in a beautiful location eating fabulous food. Servings weren't generous but maybe I am just being greedy because the food was sooo good. Laksa was delicious and burger hit the spot. Thankyou.

Wonderful surroundings, atmosphere spot on. Restaurant is awesome. Best laska seafood I have ever eaten. Seafood was fresh like it has just come out of the water scallops,prawns,fish,mussells, fish and a sauce to die for

Perfect spot for lunch. We sat up on the balcony, and enjoyed the view of this gorgeous town. The menu is great, catering for the meat eaters, vegetarian and gf crowd, also a seperate kids menu that parents will appreciate. James Squire ginger beer on tap was a winner for me.
Across the road is a great playground for the kids to burn off some energy after.

We decided to have milkshakes and chips at the pub. Crazy but a great decision. Thoroughly enjoyed our exploration of this little village.
