Smallest steak I have ever seen in a pub meal. Sort of grotty, disappointing atmosphere with questionable types, screens everywhere and cigarette smoke stinking the place out from horrible pokies area out the back.

Staff were really very nice though.

Booked a table on the mezzanine for a pre-show lunch. The kids and adult lunch special meals were good value and tasty. Very handy for the Capitol theatre. Will be back

We found this place almost by chance online and decided to call in. Oh My Goodness, we had the best steak and veg I think we'd ever eaten ! The atmosphere and service were lovely, but the meal, soooo good. The prices were very reasonable too.

Best pub in town reasonable price with good vibe. Staff are very friendly specially the Asian girl with blonde hair. She's lovely and very friendly.

Watched the Matildas game here, played some pool and had some beers. It was a great vibe on the day. We didn't eat here so can't comment on that. It's a little tricky to play pool with a table full on people at the end of the pool table and the upstairs bar wasn't open but all in all we had a fun time here.

As a food blogger, I'm always on the lookout for great dining experiences and that includes pubs! This venue itself is absolutely stunning. (Fun fact, it used to be a bank!)

The staff here are super lovely and accommodating and can make a pretty mean Spicy Margarita! They have cocktail specials that change every couple of months and can make your favourite classics, so there's always something for everybody.

As for food, you can't go wrong with classic pub grub and these guys do it well. Just like their drinks, they'll bring out specials every now and then to keep it exciting!

One of the best things about the Haymarket Hotel is its location. It's just a stone's throw from the Capitol Theatre, which makes it the perfect spot for a pre- or post-show meal. And even if you're not seeing a show, it's worth a visit - the gorgeous venue, friendly staff, delicious cocktails, live sport and tasty food all combine to create an a great experience. Highly recommended!

The manager(?) Mitch went above and beyond to accommodate my mother who had an ankle injury to a suitable table. He was attentive and looked after us all evening. Food and drinks were incredible and fairly priced. We really enjoyed our night thank you all.

This is my local when I visit Sydney. Being from out of state it's sometimes hard to adapt to certain surroundings, but we all found that the bar staff at the Haymarket Hotel are fantastic and the gaming room staff are very hospitable and the atmosphere is 2nd to none. Located on George Street in Chinatown, I can't think of a better location for such an awesome venue. I forgot to mention their $16 Tiger Beer jugs......

I was shocked when I walked in actually ? this place is ultra modern! Not your ordinary pub.

Big chandeliers, high ceiling, marble tables, enormous tv screens to watch sports, pool tables upstairs. It's definitely a great atmosphere with fabulous service!

Was hired to do a shoot for @lickyourphone and was very impressed! I'll be back to shoot food soon :)

My friend got a meal that was unacceptable and asked for it to be returned. They just said "oh well" not only did they not refund they made her pay the whole amount for another meal. This lady is not one to complain about anything. I will never go there

An old Bank converted to a pub. Great steaks, best around. Live music friday nights. Marble tables. $15 jugs of promoted beer. Good location on George Street near Chinatown. Smokers area in Poker machines area past the bar. Friday's night meat raffles & spin the wheel for vouchers?

Up when he hugs them... irrational and not worth paying for... be bar is not the place to be fancy but to enjoy themselves. White dude with the tattoo is not worth having as a security guard because he is a douche bag
