I didn't think a place could be worse then the railway hotel but boy was I wrong. You even feel like the security guard is going to mug you and he doesn't even know how to say hello when greeted numerous times. I amazed at how he even stays in employment

Was told they wouldn't service me more alcohol after being there for 4 hours and was told to leave. Been to various pubs in The Rocks area for over 7 hours without any problems

Won't be going to the corner pub ever again

Let me clarify something first, I am only writing about the corner pub, not the Liverpool hotel. The food is on the other side and not here, though you can buy from there and eat in the corner pub.

Corner pub itself is amazing! It's a cosy space that's not packed or noisy. They've got a really good and indoor smoking room where you can relax, have some beers, some smokes and watch some sports on the TV inside.
Everyone on the staff is amazing and as courteous as can be. They'll always make you feel welcome and appreciated.

Other than that, the premise is still considered a prime venue in Liverpool.
One of the oldest suburb that still hanging old and torn buildings dating over several century old.

I am sure Once Upon A Time, this corner real estate would have been seen and considered to have cater the upper class amongst all other surviving peasants.

Council and Real estate redevelopment of billions of dollars is the only way to transform away from the dark past.

We might be approaching the 22nd century. If so then you'd be right ??

All the stars go to the restaurant. Food never disappoints and the Chef is very friendly too.

Excellent friendly great food customer service will be going back again for a feed sometime.

The chef stands there and watches you eat and makes you feel very uncomfortable , the steak ( sirloin ) was fatty and had hardly any meat on it , the only thing that is good is the price but still I wouldn't pay $2 to feed it to my dog

Absolutely disgusting customer service when it comes to the healthcare of people who visit often.
Was just hung up on by the rudest lady to work in customer while trying to locate my missing 80 year old grandfather who visits frequently after being asked to do so by the police department Absolutely sickening

This pub is only interested in people spending money in the gaming room's. ( [---] room) I would encourage patrons who had bad experience here to report them ( Liverpool hotel ) ( Corner Pub) to the local and state authorities so better can be done to improve the image of Liverpool. If you felt descriminated or witness the out or ordinary behaviour of staff or patrons report it the the gaming and liquor authority!

Always been a big fan of Corner Pub and Liverpool Hotel since I moved to South-West back in 2014. Unfortunately I'm not as regular as I used to be due to family and work life. I visited yesterday (Saturday), 17 September 2022 between 6pm to 7:15pm; after 4-5 weeks and had an disappointing experience with the attitude of the bar lady at the Corner Pub. I sensed that the bar lady saw me walking towards the bar from the pokies room, while she was cleaning there. After waiting longer than usual for someone to serve me at the bar after one drink and loosing some money in the pokies I decided to leave corner pub and go next door to Liverpool Hotel. However when I was about to leave Corner Pub, the lady came back after finishing her cleaning in the pokies room. She asked me for a drink to which I said "No, that's ok I'll leave as I was waiting for a while." Coming from a 15yrs of hospitality background that was ended by (COVID) redundancy, I know a bit about acceptable customer service. I'm sure a customer at least have a right to have a little winge about poor customer service and tardiness; without being rude, eventhough they may not be always right. You cannot just be stereotypical about all customers in customer service.The main reason I wanted to leave Corner Pub was that I knew it was going to be a slow service as she was on her own and seemed busy and I had to have three drinks pretty quick and go home so my wife doesn't get upset with me for me being late. However the reply I got from the lady was so blunt as she labelled me as being rude for my comment. "You don't need to be rude!", was exactly what she said. First thing that came in my mind was, "how was that for an attitude?!" At no point I was aggressive or rude to her and just had my first alcoholic beverage of the day. I was just disappointed, in a rush, did not want to drink at that bar anymore and leave. Then not so much to my surprise she quickly followed me all the way to the Liverpool Hotel bar through the mid passage at the back; leaving her own bar unattended, which I knew she most probably would, as I could sense the grudge on her face when I left the Corner Pub. When I approached Liverpool Hotel bar the bar lady there was busy cleaning tables and hadn't seen me yet, which was understandable. But to my biggest surprise and confusion the same lady from the Corner Pub who chased me all the way called out the lady from Liverpool Hotel to come behind the bar and serve me. Nice! So that's how I got my second beer. I watched TV and finished my beer peacefully, then I went back to the bar for my third and last round, yet worried that I might have been dobbed in. Again not so much to my surprise, no one appeared at the bar to serve me for a while. Then I went to toilet and decided to leave roughly around a minute after. While leaving I noticed the bar lady at Liverpool Hotel staring at me, while pouring beer for other two customers. Well at least she was back at the bar on time for other customers!

Awesome Thai dish I will definitely recommend to pay them a visit. The menu price list is on point reasonable and cooked to perfection

We love going to this Bar the Food is 10/10 Staff are very friendly ??'?? Very Clean and Bar facilities are awesome ???'? we enjoy coming here when we come to Liverpool for Shopping an our get away at the Quest ?

I like this pub, all staff respectful, restaurant is great , and emphasizes on "COVID safe". I always there .

This Pub is very disappointing. The staff and security are rude and racist. The security especially. The security guard George ( I believe that is his name) has verbally attacked my ethnicity.

In addition, the manager Kong has no idea how to manage his staff. I was told to leave after the bartender did not understand that I have already checked in to the covid safe app.

The location is amazing but the staff is terrible. I would suggest people to visit the Macquarie Hotel which has better staff and better prices. It is only 2 min walk from this place.

If your just dropping in for cold beer all good.

Suggest look else where. Unsavory characters in poker machine room.
If you have money on your Machine don't leave it.
One bar staff short changed me after winning big win on poker machine.. Very slender man of Asian appearance. His name starts with the letter C

I reside in Liverpool and often go to have dinner. Today's experience was very pathetic. Staff at bar doesn't know how to behave with customers. Very unprofessional, asian girl with specs.I signed in thru their app and was asked to show id. When I told I did not have a id at that time, I wasn't allowed in to have my dinner. If this is the case why they sign me in. A note to owner, can u please talk to your staffs as this will lead to reduce customers at your pub. Those staff s don't deserve to be there. I won't recommend any1 if this pathetic service continues

Down right horrible first experience. If I could rate 0 stars I would. There was NO presence at the bar or doors were you enter. I immediately had to use the toilet before approaching the bar. Whilst using the toilet a woman barged in on me demanding I must 'register' with them at the bar ( for COVID I'm assuming), fair enough, except this impolite hiporcrite whom didnt wear a facemask or any protection of the sort, was rude and intimidating trying to get me out, she had no right whatsoever. Then ushered me to the bar to show my ID, if she had of been at her desk doing her actual job she would have noticed I already had. NEVER WILL I RETURN HERE, THANK YOU BLONDE REPULSIVE WOMAN.

food and drinks are well priced....ambience is amazing....must visit
