Great food and friendly staff. Multiple people on the table ordered a steak and couldn't fault it. The pub has a great vibe that we all enjoyed. Definitely recommend for a good pub feed!!

In for dinner and drinks with friends. While the dining space inside is a bit noisy, the atmosphere is very welcoming. Attentive staff without being overbearing and were super helpful with a minor error on the food order. Table app system is really efficient even on a busy Fri night.

Love that they had a vegan AND gluten-free option!! I had the pasta with tomato sauce and veggies. Very very tasty.

The service was not great. We waited 20 minutes before tracking down a server to ask for water. We had to track down a server several times for more water throughout our 2 hour dinner.

The place is very lively, so good if you want a fun, relaxed environment. It is very very loud, so team dinners where you want to have a group conversation are not ideal.

By far the best pub food I have experienced. My wife had a superbly cooked steak and mash dinner, and my lamb shank and mash is the best I have ever tasted. The pub itself is cosy and welcoming on a cold winter's evening. Drinks and food are reasonably priced, you will not be disappointed.

Very good, value for money, we enjoyed our meals. The food and service was great. Pets are allowed.I ordered food for my dog and he liked it too, but he left the veggies.

Went for a family dinner here on holiday. The food was possibly the best pub food I have eaten. The chicken was perfect, the steak cooked exactly how I like it, and all at a reasonable price. It also looked quite fancy inside which the kids absolutely loved! Would definitely come back again.

Great cosy traditional pub. Visited recently after 20 years living away from Canberra. So nice to see they have kept to their origins and not gentrified. Good for sports, cold fresh beer and pool tables

Nice pub, decor is on point! Lovely fires, heaps of pool tables and plenty of tvs to watch sport or main events. Food lovely and big servings, wait staff we're fantastic.

Love to stop here for a meal when I'm in the city. They do an awesome mash potato, and everything I've had with it is always well cooked and presented as well as delicious.
Highly recommend for a meal in the city.

Civic pub is a very nice place to play pool, catch up with friends or workmates, eat and drink. It's winter, so their heater was on full blast, will make you want to drink more beer. No wheelchair accessible though.

Hello ANZACCCS, great location, very warm and accommodating service. Pub meals good standard with some extra meals l would consider a little fancy. Good place to watch your footy.

Wow wow wow. Loved decor! Such a warm, classic and classy place. Food was amazing, good menu, drinks and affordable price. Been there a few times.

Tried to buy take away beer. They pointed us in the direction of a bottle shop down the road and saved us plenty. Great service, beers were cold and the food looked great

Good pub meals and a good variety to choose from. Environment is good, location is good... But that's all it is.... GOOD.

Meals were good. Rare steak came out closer to medium, and I get that they try to ensure that the fat is rendered properly on the steak, but it shouldn't be to the detriment of the steak in question.
Also, a little too well seasoned (a bit salty).
It was good...just a little more fine tuning required.
Chicken kebabs (special) were good as well. They could be a little dry however and could have used just a little sauce of some kind. They were well grilled and charred, but only came with a little slice of lemon to lift them. Being breast meat, they can be a little dry.
Comes with mashed potato and green beans.
Like I said, maybe just that little extra touch could have taken the meals from good, to great.
Worth a visit... Hopefully you find a great meal.

We liked the look from the outside, which made an impact on our decision.
We both had a "civic burger," ???" which was sensational delicious!

Not a bad pub, reasonable prices, good steak. I found the Nachos to be lacking (not much cheese or meat). Venue is kept pretty clean, during peak times it can get pretty busy and noisy.
For those who like a game of pool, theres a few tables up the back to play on, kept in decent condition.

What an amazing pub. Beautiful inside. Friendly staff. Great crowd of people. Lovely atmosphere and meals were fantastic. We had a lovely Saturday night. Great place for a family or group. Highly recommend.

Great meals good service. Made a booking for 80 people for the Wall to Wall Ride of Remembrance. Everyone received their meals in a timely manner. Staff were very accommodating. Would highly recommend the venue.

After ring around For a booking, Civic answered there phone and got our booking. Great atmosphere, great attention to detail with the decor & great, friendly staff. What a great place !!
Absolutely brilliant atmosphere even with a full house ( On A Tuesday night).
The staff were very pleasant and courteous.
They found us a table for 4 in a packed house even though we hadn't booked.
The drinks were cold and the meals came very fast and all at the same time 😃
We also found the place to be very clean and well run.
We will definitely be back and we will recommend it to all our friends.

I really enjoyed my time at this pub and the experience.

I first phoned up to confirm that they could do a takeaway soup order and the staff member was polite and helpful, even went to check with the kitchen.

When I arrived I had a drink while I waited for my food. The staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming to all patrons.

This pub is very well run.

Second time dining here and the food is awesome. I had the Steak, which was cooked to perfection and the pepper sauce was to die for. Others ordered the Chicken Schnitzel and Grilled Barramundi. All meals were awesome.

Felt nice and warm in a cold day in the capital. Good staffs. Atmosphere was very good. However, I ordered a burger and the taste was bland . It was supposed to be some special crunchy chicken burger but there was no taste on the chicken
and they forgot to put the sauce.🙄

Pretty good for dinner and a few drinks. It was quite busy but was easy enough to get a drink from the bar. Has an APP for ordering from table as well.

Lovely atmosphere and VERY generous meal portions. The staff were very nice and quick! The Pork ribs were honestly cooked to perfection, but way too much sauce applied which took away from the flavour of the meat. I cant wait to try a steak next time. We will go back.
