Not clear that the place is vegan. The menu looks like a regular meat-serving pub menu, and I imagine that it has been written that way on purpose. Why else wouldn't you write veef/imitation beef instead of beef for example?

The schnitzels were also horrible and rubbery - I've had great vegan food and this was not it.

The menu items all state very clearly 'chicken', 'meat', 'bacon', 'cheese'. Even a 'Zinga burger'with chicken and 11 secret herbs and spices. Didn't even try to be tricky with a KFC comparison, with so much going on.and just looking at the food items you would be forgiven for missing the 'vegan menu' on another section of the menu.

When we saw the food we thought it did not look appealing, we then realised it was Vegan. We gave it a go and it was all very rubbery.
I got the 'chicken' ceased sub which was described as coming out in a crunchy sub. It was a non crunchy burger bun. Food was cold, including the chips. Was not good anyways.

I would not recommend. I would hope vegan food is better at other places.

Great to have a vegan venue, lovely atmosphere, and handy location if your inner Sydney. Food was okay, sausages great but peas dry and shrivelled and the mash was weird. My colleague said their burger was okay. Will go back and try something else.
They did have a fantastic gluwine though, definitely try that!

The menu isn't clearly vegan with the naming of menu items suggesting they are meat products. The detail is in a very small fine print. It should be made clearer. We ended up not eating here. Prices were a bit high eg, $26 for vegan nachos seems steep.

The credit card surcharge is very high and there was no signage saying there was a surcharge of 2.2%! Paid 31c on a $14 cocktail (which was lovely). This is the reason for my reduced rating. The bar tender was lovely though.

The show we went to see the Blackties was 5/5!

Came down for the first time because their social media presence is exceptional. Was not let down in the slightest. The Matilda's game was playing but that didn't bother us. Seems the TV was lagging a little because of internet issue but that's certainly not their fault. The staff are so friendly and I'm pretty sure I got to meet Mamma B in the flesh, so that's just the icing on the cake. Zinga burger best I've ever eaten, truly. Well done guys!!

The atmosphere of the place is great. There's a cute "outdoor" area to sit with your pooch, or you can enjoy the pub vibe by sitting inside (the AFL was on the telly, so of course that's where the husband chose to sit with his beer)! If you venture outside, you can even grab some marshmallows to roast over the fire pit!

The menu has all your classic pub feeds, but also some fun, creative dishes hidden in there (you should check out their "Boozy Foods" section).
It was my first time trying a Blooming Onion (divine, by the way), and I also feasted on some battered fish tacos (10/10). As we came on a Sunday, the husband tried the Sunday Roast, and loved it.
The portion sizes were huge, and Mama B's team nailed it of course (if anyone remembers The Green Lion days, the food is potentially even better)!

Chill lil place to hang and eat a abit portion not the greatest but good service and workers & ambience.

Nice vibe, good beer garden, good shows, but I had a truly disappointing Chicken Burger there the other day. Tasted like it was cooked in fish n chips oil. A friend described it as "whatever is below mid".

Went to see an Improv Comedy Cagefight.
Truly enjoyed the game of pool that I played with my friend prior to the 'Cagefight'. I am no good at pool and did not feel judged here at all. Nice surroundings, however difficult to get to on public transport and not ample parking about.
The Improv Comedy Cagefight was somewhat something of my nightmares. I think I laughed during the first performance, A little, then was just confused and embarrassed and pining for my warm and cosy bed.
Improv, you did not impress, and I am sad to say that as a former avid dramatical student. Oh well.

I had work lunch booked for today at 12.15. arrived with a group of 11 only to find the doors closed. There was another group with a booking also trying to find out what is happening. Apparently they don't bother to open on time quite often. I was scrambling to find another place with tables available which was not easy so close to Christmas. Utterly disappointed and will never attempt to visit again. You should be ashamed.

The people they bring in for trivia are great!
Portion sizes are on the smaller side considering the prices are on the more expensive, ah well. Schnitty and parmi really yummy though!

Nice, relaxed place to eat and have a drink. With a living underground music venue too it's the perfect mix of chill vibes and entertainment.

My friend and I went a few weeks ago for Stranger Things trivia and had a great time! We both had the parmi which was yummy and the themed cocktails were cool and delicious. We loved the vibe of the whole place and the trivia was great! Keen to come back!

Great experience here at the Chippo. Your classic pub food standards are above average! Secrets out. Prob the best steak I've eaten at a pub and I've been actively looking.

Newly renovated beer garden with a fire pit to hang when it's chilly. Staff super friendly and the beer is cold!

Absolutely amazing pub. Last 2 nights has been amazing awesome pub culture, awesome covid safety in place, staff are amazing no matter how busy it got. AJ one of the bar tenders always made sure we where ok and had a drink on hand. Food is amazing only one slight inconvenience, needs some garlic bread.

Kind of bad at hosting events.... Not enough bartenders. Underpouring drinks. Unclear signage regarding dancing. Needs to really improve...

Lively venue in an area which is surprisingly quiet in the middle of the hustle and bustle of city traffic.

Great pub, awesome staff, live comedy, if only there were brighter lights just on the pool table! Still a great casual pub.

Extensive beer selection with plenty of local and imported beer. Food is decent pub style type. Staff are friendly. Plenty of tv's to watch sport. Nice comfy outdoor area
