On returning from interstate, made an overnight stop at Gunning. Had dinner and drinks at Telegraph Hotel.The meal was delicious, steak was amazing and great value. Staff extremely friendly and would highly recommend the relaxed country atmosphere and hospitality of the hotel.Will definitely return on our next travels.

Just had a delicious dinner with my husband and kids at the Telegraph Hotel. I had a burger with the lot and it was the best burger I've had in ages, and such good value. Everyone else's meals were really tasty and generous, I tried some schnitzel and it was juicy and flavoursome. Staff were run off their feet (it was a busy Saturday night) but were friendly and made us feel very welcome. Noughts and crosses and colouring in to keep the kids busy too. Would highly recommend!

This pub was damaged during the floods and are just getting back on track, so I am Sure any custom is very welcome, be it a drink or meal, food was great pub food, I had the lamb chops just wonderful, however huge meal.. hubby had the Parma and it was great, friendly staff, great quite little town of the Hume Hwy..

Recently had dinner at the hotel. Had an Hawaiian parmi with chips and salad. It was so delicious. So good!! The mustard dressing on the salad was very yummy. The parmi was very tasty, and the chips were well seasoned and crunchy. Thank-you. An excellent pub meal. The best!!!!

Great country pub. Very friendly. Great service. Locals have done it tough after last year's flood. A resilient bunch.

Food was great and prices were good. Service definitely not friendly if you're not a local - was treated as more as an inconvenience than a customer. Still, worth a stop for the food.

Rough, look like it's barely making ends met. The no Lilo on the floor in the public bar, old furniture and a feeling of sadness and lost. The place got so much potential. Close to the Hume Highway and Canberra. Feel like locked into the 1970s to 80s.

It's a must visit. Gunning. Stay at the show grounds. Visit the township and have a few coldies at the great little pub.
Worth a visit.

We were passing through and staying in the free camping ground over night. Went to the pub for dinner and my husband and I had the most amazing scotch fillet, rare, cooked to perfection. Friendly staff as well :-)

Meal very average. All the seafood is frozen packaged pre-made. Staff member taking orders was a bit rude. Wouldn't rush back.

Great place...food is very fresh, burgers are better than Franchises. Coffee is great. Highly recommended.

Best country pub feed the hubby and I have ever had ??'? schnitty/ gravy, crumbed lamb cutlets/ gravy and chips were all scrumptious!!! AAA+++

Honestly! Loved everyone. Cliff is doing amazing job running the venue. Rooftop is the place I would be anytime of the day.

Took this outside the hotel when I was there, had other photos of the hotel to.was visiting here 2 weeks ago stopped to have lunch and look around they have a cafe on site which has great meals. Few old buildings in town .the other 2 pictures are the old building across the street.

Offers an excellent bistro that used to be the local Chinese restaurant.
The meals can be taken in the bar or lounge areas and offer a hearty meal at a reasonable price.
Well patronised by the locals and tourists.
Has rooms available or you can stay in the Gunning Motel just a short walk down the street.
A number of other cafe's offering a choice for visitors to the area.
Gunning has seen a growth in new homes in the recent 5+ years so is not a dying town.
Has a free swimming pool across the road from the hotel.
Gunning showground is also welcoming to travellers who are self contained in a caravan or mobile home.
No longer offers rooms. But Gunning Motel just a short walk

really decent pub feed, we came in on a friday just before end of service and got 6 adult meals and 2 kids meals. everything was well cooked, hot and came out quickly considering how busy it was as everyone comes for the meat raffles. definitely recommend the rocky road cheesecake.

OMG. The ABSOLUTE BEST EVER Eye Fillet Beef Salad. The wonderful chef assured us the beef wouldnt be overcooked and she wasn't wrong. It melted in your mouth before you could even think about chewing and digesting it. Hubby had chicken schnitty which he too loved. Highly, Highly recommend. Thankyou gorgeous girls xxx

What a great pub and bistro! New refurbished bistro and menu. I love that they have traditional pub grub as well as some interesting alternatives. My wife went with the snitty and I tried the Thai beef salad. And both were excellent. I really really enjoyed the freshness of the salads and the perfect way the beef was cooked. Definately a place I'll come back to. :)

Lamb cutlets were nice $22 for 3, good serving. With chips + vege(overcooked broccoli &corn +carrot) or salad + Maggi gravy.
very busy with plenty of takeaway orders as well as dine in. Steak cooked as requested.
Needs more variety and alternative to the chips.

Best ever steak sandwich I have ever had, the ladies can cook.
Prices are good as well, check it out.

Nice little country pub. Food is pretty good and prices are reasonaable. Menu is small and could do with a bit more of a selection, but there is something for everyone.

One pub town and a high street..that's about it..antique/bric a brac shops closed..has a park that has a section for caravans/campers for free by a river...that even has a toilet/shower unit for free....max stay ,2 nights....few minutes walk to pub that does nice inexpensive food...might stay another night !!!
