Large pub, well priced drinks (unusual in this area!), reasonable food, QR code ordering from your table which is fast, and the staff efficient. Only strange thing is they give all the good dining areas to the smokers e.g. you can't eat on the front balcony. So all the non smokers are inside, whilst a handful of smokers are out on this huge amazing balcony. Odd choice.

What's the point of having a sector for smokers if the doors are opened inside, there is no division. It's just disgusting.

$26 dollars for a tiny steak with a small portion of fries and veggies. I wasn't finished and the waiter was asking if he could take my plate from the table. It still had food.

Classic no frills city pub vibes. Everything was clean and the staff could pour a beer, but $10 schooners are a bit steep.
The smokers area is a killer though, it's all open to the main bar floor and the breeze just pushes the smoke and smell into the indoor seating area.
Did have a laugh at the soft fall outside the main entrance, not sure if it's to catch pissed patrons, or give something for the bouncers to aim at.

We were very lucky to get space for 50 fundraisers who had completed the City2Surf and raised funds for The TLR Foundation. Some of the group were very happy there was a lift up to the first floor after walking 14 km. It's the closest pub to Bondi Junction bus and train station making it the perfect location when 80,000 other people are trying to get home. The upstairs space was a great place to rest and recover, the food came out fast and hot, the staff were wonderful, especially because it was heaving with other City2Surf participants. But what made it perfect were the event staff. David went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day. We can't wait to do it all again next year! Thanks all!

I booked the function room to celebrate my birthday and had the best time! The atmosphere was amazing. We could bring our own food and DJ. The Tea Gardens team was super friendly, and I would like to highlight that David F, the function manager, was exceptional. He went above and beyond, providing unwavering support throughout the event, welcoming my guests warmly, ensuring their comfort, and addressing all my inquiries promptly and efficiently. His outstanding communication skills and dedication made the entire experience truly enjoyable and memorable.

I like this place, as a Chinese I love the atmosphere on the first floor and the convenient of QR code order. Beer was great, eggplant was delicious, however Rump steak could be better, not enough juice a little bit dry and more sauce would be better, but overall not bad I like the Salad too.

Didn't realise this place existed. A hidden stairs going up. As I got up it was quiet large. The terrace part was full had to sit in another smoking area was great they had a dj played old soul rnb.

was going to get a pizza, I got convince to get the steak the staff sold me he said" the tender protein will feel satisfying" even chose my sides for me it was refreshing.

Had ask for a Canadian club but then I'm not sure if I got upsold, but I had no regret! I am officially converted to this drink. Didn't realise I would be someone that drinks cocktails.

This morning, I had an exceptionally delightful experience at the Tea Gardens, courtesy of the incredible duo Ash and Peter. Upon entering the pub after a somewhat challenging shopping experience, my spirits were notably low. However, the level of empathy and attention to detail these two demonstrated was a heart-warming surprise.

As a young lady, Ash was wonderfully easy to converse with, effortlessly creating an atmosphere that was as comforting as it was engaging. She was entirely approachable, nurturing a meaningful connection that reflected her genuine interest in my well-being.

Peter, on the other hand, was an absolute bundle of energy, his vivacity and cheerfulness acting as the perfect antidote to my temporary gloom. The food is so delicious! The curry cheese chips are amazing and the cocktails are perfect and large glasses. We had the steaks and salt and pepper squid as well. Veggies and squid were tender, steak was glistening and so yum!

That is food staff and room at the back. Tea Gardens is usually loud people have lots of fun. This time we were located at the back of the main bar upstairs. Much quiter where you could hear yourself think. And enjoy friends company. A GOOD night.

Restaurant food ,so sad, great spot . Bad food . All chips . Mushroom burger was shameful for $18 chips half a mushroom and so e dehydrated salad two half burger buns. Waste of money . Chilly prawns came with nothing but a 6 prawns in a bowl and piece of Sourdough. Hope food improves for summer season. We brought friends from Perth and there meal was all crumbs on chicken and a little salad . Sad sad sad ?

Very friendly Staff and Security Guards, range of all the top Beers, spirits and wine, One of the best Pubs in Sydney, providing a public bar and dance scene aswell as high end food and drinks in the upstairs balcony Bar.

I have to say I really appreciated my time on the balcony. I enjoyed the atmosphere but the twist I enjoyed was a bartender, with tattoos on his arm of Asian decent, he never told me his name. But within saying that, sitting down and taking it all in with the leisure of it there was a man who knows his conversations, how to make off the menu drinks and certainly knows how to take you out of your life and put you in a prime feeling. I would like to thank him again, and the venue for the time and the experience I don't get to experience very often.

Got served by a disgustingly rude barmaid last night upstairs in the tea gadrens at 8:20pm. The absolute height of ignorance.
Laughing at me and being very angry when I was ordering drinks because I forgot to order 2 drinks instead of one and had to ask her twice.
She clearly hates her job working in a bar but that's not my fault, if you are In customer service you have to be at least moderately freindly to people.
Stop working there If you're not happy and stop making everyone else feel bad just because you're not happy.

Wouldn't even give one star, rocked up, 5 of us. First pub of the evening, late outing. Told there was an hour wait time and best to come back. Pub looked empty but we left in the opposite direction, only to see approx 10girls approach. Looked back and every single one of the girls got in without question (all scanned in) absolutely disgusting behaviour from the bouncers!! Well done on your sexism!! Not the first time there has been a complaint about bouncers using their so called 'power' in this place!
