Only reason for the atmosphere rating was because of the many flies on day we went.

Beautiful beer garden in a traditional country pub. The meals were delicious and great selection of beers, including a local brew!

Sutton Forest Inn is lovely to go to. There is a lovely back area to sit in which overlooks the surrounding fields. Inside there is a lot of seating. Visited on a Sunday and definitely recommend booking prior as it is so very busy. Interior has an old world charm about it. Food is nice, pub style.

Wanted a pub style meal read reviews Sutton Inn had raving reviews and deservedly so. Great feed, generous size, traditional chips, friendly staff, people chatting around you having there own celebrations background music who could complain. Beer supper cold.

The food tasted nice but small portion for the price (Barramundi) 38. The desert was great too $16. Don't like to pay CC surcharge if I'm not told before hand at least. Never again, too expensive for me.

Love Sutton Forest Inn! On a gorgeous day, it's the best casual alfresco dining spot between Canberra and Kiama. The slow roasted lamb shoulder salad was perfection and the wagyu burger and chips were up to Hubby's high standards!

What a precious find...stumbled across this pub whilst driving around Southern Highlands. Food was great quality...nice range of beers on tap (some local ones as well). Country scenery was beautiful...what a great atmosphere!! Staff were friendly and service was great. Suggest to make booking for Fri night and over weekend...saw lady writing heaps of reservation cards.

Lovely setting and the view from the back over the countryside is stunning, great spot for kids. The food is reasonable standard pub fare, service was very friendly. Only gripe would be the not great smells coming from the bathroom, be sure to sit away from them if that's an ongoing problem!

It's a country pub... but with something extra that makes it so nice. The food is really nice, the outdoor area spacious with the scent of jasmine, great views and a playground for kids. A really great spot for a break along the highway.

We had a lovely pub meal here. It's your stock standard menu - burgers, schnitzel, fish and chips etc. We had the pie of the day and Angus beef burger. Both were very good and delicious.

Food was pricier than expected, but the drinks were more affordable. Kind of evened out. Customer service was good, and food came out fast

The view of the rolling hills and countryside were an added bonus! There's alfresco dining for the warmer seasons and a few fireplaces inside to keep cozy in winter.

Be sure to book ahead of time as it does get busy!

We stumbled across the Sutton Forest Inn when a number of touring bikes pulled into the carpark - so we followed them!

The back half of the pub is very well laid out, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The food menu is extensive and the meals we saw leave the pass (along with ours) looked substantial and appetising.

The front half is a little "rabbit warren" like - but the bar staff are knowledgeable and there is a good selection of "standard" and rotating "craft beers".

We'd definitely recommend giving it a try when you're in the vicinity.

An eclectic mix of Scottish, Folk Art and 90s décor - actually works well and the atmosphere is great. Small children's energy can be burnt up in the attached playground ?. Our lunches were fresh and tasty, with generous servings. We'll happily return.

Nice range of food options, a bit of interesting variety. Not exactly great value but maybe that's life.

Had a great Barramundi item for lunch served along with broccolini and sweet potato mash and crisps. Very pleased. Lovely outdoor setting available with a wraparound balcony and huge paved / lawn area. Only suggestion for improvement would be to have a counter for ordering drinks and food with an outside opening.

Always busy so be sure to pick your timing! Great place to catch up with friends for a drink or have a meal in the restaurant area at the back. If the weather is nice you can always enjoy the outdoor seating looking over the fields. Service is quite quick. Staff friendly and helpful.

I've never stayed here but I've eaten here on a number of occasions. Food is great and reasonably priced, especially for the Highlands. Nice house wine. Staff are really great. Lovely ambience inside and out. This is a very old building and they've done a great job of modernizing it without destroying the old narrow bars and small salon. There's a very large dining room out the back. Fires and gas heaters throughout. Lots of room for children to run outside. Parking areas are pressed earth and gravel, so have been badly affected by recent rains, floods, etc but no doubt that will be sorted. Not too sure about access for people with mobility issues, I'd suggest you ring ahead. Today I had cauliflower tacos and they were absolutely delicious. Highly recommended

This is a rural pub with a cosy atmosphere. It's great for gatherings of friends and family and this is demonstrated by the sizable patronage on weekends when we visited.There is good service from the busy staff. The food is standard pub menu. Well prepared and quickly presented.

A group of 8 of us called in for lunch on Friday. The Pub was warm & inviting, the staff were friendly and welcoming, but the big surprise were the meals. Each of us had something different from the menu and everyone's meal was fantastic. We have been on the road for 20 days now & most said it was the best meal they have had. 5 star.

We've been here a few times over the years - generally reliable, with decent food at reasonable prices. Recently, however, the staff have developed a real attitude...and the food quality is declining. I hope someone gets this pub back on track.

Visited the pub and enjoyed a great beer but went to order a meal and we were treated with the rudest staff. Asked for a menu and the refused to serve us. Place was empty and after 30 minutes we left and the place was still empty.
Went to Moss Vale pub and food was fantastic and we shared our experience at Sutton forest and the response was that's how they treat people.

If you're looking for dinner while staying near Bowral this is THE place to visit. The food portions are generous and absolutely delicious. The staff are attentive and friendly. This place was recommended by some locals and I am so glad I visited. Looking forward to many more return trips to this awesome pub!
