Best trivia I have been to in a while, super chill and fun! Pizza came out a bit cold and didn't really hit the spot but the burger, schnitzel & steak sandwich were all very nice :)

We normally come down for a feed and drinks. Food is always great but we noticed that the menu has changed. We tried new items including the nachos (below par and black corn chips were a turn off), the squid (tasteless) and a few of our favourites have disappeared! Very poor all round and def not the Strawbs we love. PS: what's with the extra charge to change fries to mash??

Good location to watch the FIFA Women's World Cup, food was average to poor, beer watery (my husband who loves beer couldn't even finish it), and while some of the servers were good, the main manager was awful. Wouldn't change the main TV to the Cup games, when our group of 15, eating and drinking there, was set up to watch it. Asked him to change it, gave me different excuses, couldn't, manager wouldn't let him, TV was glitchy, had to wait till 8 to ask the manager (game was over by 8), then asked part of our group to move to a spot where they couldn't see the game, and blocked the view for several others. Overall a terrible experience. I would not recommend them for anything.

Food: portions small, price incredibly high.
Service: the downstairs bartender has terrible customer service, waited ~5 minutes to buy red rock deli chips. The bar downstairs also smells like B.O. Upstairs bar is much better!
Atmosphere: had a homeless gentleman interrupt our game of pool, make racist remarks and act combative towards the security guard, who was doing his best to handle the situation, as well as a clearly inebriated group of middle-aged women who would not honour the coin rule on the pool table. Security was overrun and did not receive support for a majority of the time where the incidents were taking place.
Also someone pulled a gun out on the street next to the pub, which is pretty cool/crazy!

Could do better. Gents washrooms need better maintaining and regular cleaning. Pretty bad state in the evenings. Food is okay. Tap beer is cheaper downstairs.

As far as pubs go, this is a nice little reliable one. Plenty of room, a small rooftop area, decent and generously-portioned pub grub and lots of beer options on tap. Good thing to know is that they are open very late too. Just a short walk from Central Station.

The amount of times I have walked by this place is astounding. Figured it was probably time to stop in for a pint and a feed. Are there better pubs out there? Yes! But honestly, this place is pretty standard and I can dig that. Their food in on par with many in the area and they pour a decent pint so no complaints there.

Well this was a pleasant surprise. Steak Sandwich was top notch, Pork Burger and Honey Glased Chicken Wings very very good. All staff were polite with the Irish lass particularly helpful.

Good price beer, great trivia, steak was fair bit under sized.

Classic old school Sydney hotel with a twist. Downstairs is a throwback to the good old days with plenty of tiles. Upstairs is a more modern rooftop bar and bistro serving a good range of tasty meals to suit most tastes. Service is super friendly and there is a reasonable selection of beers on tap (although on the day we visited three or more had run out by midday on a Thursday?).

We stopped in here for a quick bite to eat at the Rooftop Bar. It was a cruisey vibe for a Sunday lunch but pretty sure that would not be the case on a Friday/Saturday night.
We had 'A Little Nibble' which is a selection of their best 'nibbles' and it was delicious and surprisingly filling.
The staff were really friendly and the drinks were great.
Would recommend a Sunday recovery here for sure!

We dined in with friends up on the roof terrace. Great location. Service was prompt and we all really enjoyed our meals and the steaks were beautifully cooked...very tender.
There is a disabled access, as well as a lift and a disabled toilet ... so VERY accessible.
The issue is parking, although a little easier on a Sunday. The bonus is that the light rail goes right beside it so a great transport option.

This is some of the best pub food in Sydney. Great produce, well cooked, generous portions. All the pub staples but done really well.

A regular with my work friends since way before lock down.
Tonight three of my friends and I got turned away because we couldn't show a communist passport to prove we'd had a vaccine that apparently makes you safe to enter an establishment to order a meal and a drink that didn't matter 6 months ago.
Good luck, when this is all over you're going to be begging your patrons who supported you when you had little to no business, to come back but they won't forget your stance.

Was here for a work Christmas party. Nice area on the rooftop. Food and drinks were good and option to order from your table by QR code is handy. Disappointed that we were kicked out at 11pm and told we couldn't move downstairs despite being a group of 50 for the majority of the night and spending good money since 7pm. Didn't really leave us feeling very valued. Led downstairs and straight out a door on to the street. Others were being let in downstairs but we had to leave. Seems a bit odd, so we took our business to a pub up the street. Other than that, was a good night and staff were attentive.

Love this place. Big, great location and customer service. Perfect to catch up with friends!

Worth 5 star if more consistency is guaranteed

I often come here for Sunday dinner, but this evening (Saturday) was asked by security if I had a booking - I just wanted to play the pokies and have a drink at my local pub. The bar was not full and I was not intoxicated, like several of the people who were exiting the bar. I have read many similar reviews pointing to the same issue on Facebook. Well done on your security choice and good luck for trying to keep your local customers who want to spend money in your premise.

Always good to go to strawberry Hills. Bar Staff and Security are great.. great music.. good times always had late nights.

Been here many times over the years and remember it before the renovations as very dusty and unloved. Since the stunning Rooftop renovations that opened it up to the elements it really went up a notch or two. Now the place is super clean, great food menu with a few amazing salads along with all the usual pub grub like Schnitzel, fish and chips, tacos and burgers. Very reasonable prices for food and drinks. The downstairs is great at night or for a cosy get together or winter time catch up. Staff all were friendly with smiles.
