Ideally situated at the half way mark between work in Canberra and our weekend destination on the south coast, we found great service, great food (parmi schnitzel and very delicious barbecued squid daily special) and just a great place to have a dinner. Definitely will be stopping by again.

OMG we just called in for lunch and it was without a doubt the best steak I've had in a very long time... Rob's parmi was delicious and the garlic mash and beans... I can't even describe how good they were.

The whole place looks amazing and the staff are all incredibly friendly.

Do yourself a favour and head out to Nelligen and try it for yourself.

Been coming here for 5 years now and the Reno's are great. Very much needed.
Food is fabulous and the staff are great ( staff have always been lovely). New look and vibe is trendy but not OTT really is great for travellers and locals alike. Fire place in winter was beautiful and cozy

Awesome pub! Really can't fault anything. This place has been refreshed & is looking great. So many areas including a lounge room with fire place, all with a lovely atmosphere. We sat outside & the Saturday live music was so good. All staff were super friendly, manager seemed very down-to-earth. Range of beers on tap & the food was VERY good. We got the cheeseburgers & chips and even tried the eggplant - all were cooked perfectly & delicious. Would highly recommend. Thank you team :-)

Absolutely beautiful Lil pub. Owners are very friendly, staff are helpful. The atmosphere is awesome. Great cold beer. The locals are really nice and down to earth, always up for a chat. 11 out of 10. It's definitely worth the visit.

If they are busy, don't even bother.
2 of us were passing through on a Sunday night, waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for garlic bread, then to be told our dinner hadn't been made yet, and it they had run out of what we ordered. 1 hour and 20 minutes for that to be communicated to us! Absolutely appalling service and when it was suggested to them that they give people the heads up about the wait time, the waitress was so rude and abrupt and had the excuse that she had been stuck out the back. Plenty of ways for that information to be given to the people out front taking the orders!
Overall the worst experience I have ever had in any pub/restaurant.

I was told by the staff member taking the lunch order that the seafood for the platter was fresh and not frozen out of a plastic bag, lies, it was frozen. Way over priced at $36 per meal for frozen tasteless seafood.

Overpriced below standard food.
I had lamb cutlets. $30. 2 small cutlets & chips. It's $7 for a extra cutlet.
Do the math;
2 cutlets $14 & handful of chips $19.
Fish tasteless.
Fettuccine not Fettuccine, burnt mushroom sauce & pasta.
Don't go there traveller's.

This pub was a fantastic experience. Traditional old school pub vibe you won't get anywhere else. People are friendly, meals 5 star, esp the pizzas, we had a bloody good time with the staff who all have a sense of humour, esp Mel!!

We attended the annual Nellijam this year and the hotel staff and service was fantastic. The venue is perfect for music events and congratulations to the organisers and of course the local talent!

Nice outdoor area and dogs are welcome. The pub could do with a facelift. Service was good and staff pleasant

Was so looking forward to a great parmie from this pub but it was underwhelming.
On what was a quiet Thursday night it took 40min to have the dry and overcooked parmie delivered. Served on a bed of fries with a very basic accompanying salad bowl its presentation was like a kids meal and not what you'll receive at Moruya or Braidwood's similar hotels which have amazing parmies in comparison. Very disappointing. The chef needs to visit the Adelaide Hotel Moruya to see how a great parmie is done.
Although the food was ordinary the staff were pleasant.

Only place around with live music that stays open past 8, the bar staff are absolute legends, the feed is awesome and it has a proper country pub atmosphere. Came on Tuesday which was T-bone Tuesday can't go past a massive T-bone, chips and salad for $25. They were also serving cocktails for tipsy Tuesday.

We visited Steampacket last night for dinner and we had such an awesome experience. The food was amazing (think traditional pub food with the best taste EVER), the staff were lovely (especially the lady on the front bar), and there was even things for the kids to do (puzzles, colouring pencils and a book). We will definitely be back on our next holiday!
Also - there was a baby change table in both the women's AND men's toilets!! So amazing!!

Had pizzas here a few years back and they were amazing. So naturally we encouraged a large group of our friends to order pizzas with us over the Anzac wknd whilst all camping together. It was the worst experience. The pizzas were very undercooked and ridiculously basic. We called up to voice our experience and the man that took our call was rude and arrogant, claiming that "there's nothing wrong with their pizzas". Last time we'll go there. What an awful place run by awful people.
