We went for lunch mine was absolutely beautiful, (sizzling seafood) but my husband was a little in the amount of food he got . Still we will be going back, great service nice location and very friendly staff.

Chinese food was expensive for the size of the meals & didn't come out together, so one had to wait several minutes whilst one of our group got his meal 10mins. after everyone else.

The Chinese in the Star Hotel is delicious. We had the duck, red Thai beef curry the sizzling steak and the special fried rice. Yummo.

Loved the mussos on Saturday night. They are really good and interacted well with their patrons. ??'???'???'?

The star is always a nice place to go for dinner (chinese) and get lovely music and lovely service. It's got a beautiful fireplace in the bar area which give great ambience and warmth during winter.

Loved it. Staff super friendly. Good value Chinese. Good place to have a date you will impress.

Had Thai beef with Sate sauce wasn't the best I have had. The other girls had curried prawns or fish and chips they said very nice. Good place to take kiddies as plenty of room in dining area.
Paper tablecloth so doesn't matter if messy.
Meals came out quickly very hot.

Disappointing... from the start we knew we had made the wrong choice... clearly doing work... the roof was missing outside electrical things hanging.. rude service... rude doesn't even cover it!! ... the food in the restaurant was terrible.. the cider was flat... wouldn't have said it was covid safe with wait staff not wearing masks.. wouldn't recommend wasting money or time on this place!

This is a great little hotel. The staff a really friendly and the place is clean and tidy.
They have good COVID safe practises in place which are upheld by the staff.
Unfortunately, when ordering chinese, the 20 min wait (that we were told) turned into about 40 mins. It did give us the chance to have a drink though, and that service was quick.

The Star is a regular spot for us. Chinese/Thai food is great. Beer is icy cold.

Seeming the biggest pub in town but no pub food. You're commiting to Chinese or Thai food (not great) if you want to eat here. Was a very friendly greeting at the front door on the plus side. Standard alcohol offering, but seriously this place should have the monopoly in town for great pub food but nope it's Chinese (seems ok) or quasi Thai (attempted Thai). Pad Thai was a poor approximation at $22 (king prawns). Would drink here again but never eat here again.

Good hospitable bar staff with a basic offering of drinks. The Chinese/Thai kitchen is very average. There are no Asian vegetables in the Asian kitchen and its not cheap at $19 - $25 a dish. We found them open when everything had shut on a Friday night at 8:15pm but wish we had just eaten snacks at home.

The food was tasteless no flavour and the entree was cold ....

Great team. Polite and friendly.Foods good but the the beef Madras needs some work. Its Chinese style Thai. Lemongrass seafood, Pancake an Tom yum are tasty.

Right from the start we were welcomed With a smile and advised of covid safety for the hotel and restaurant. This restaurant offers a menu of not only Thai but also Chinese cuisine. The food arrived in a timely manner hot fresh and delicious. If you stop in Milton, NSW stop at this eatery for some scrumptious food

The Star has a small public bar with no craft beer. They have a restaurant that serves Chinese and Thai food. Prices are not cheap, $18.50 vegies with oyster sauce. They had a band on Friday night.
The room for the band is not big with a deck on the back looking towards the ocean. There is parking out the back.
