This isn't family friendly. Service was terrible and food not good.
Thursday night, constantly got death stares from old blokes sinking schooners because our kids were playing and having fun while us parents ate dinner.
One gentleman screamed at my 7yo daughter and made her cry. On telling him that's not the way to handle things two other codgers stepped to and hurled abuse at me.
Bar manager walked us out the place despite the old man abusing a child.
The restaurant here is a constant failure and constantly changes management. The club membership obviously wants this place to stay a boozy pissup joint for retired blokes, rather than cater to the wider community and taxpayers that subsidise their 'community club'
St Ives is changing and isn't gods waiting room anymore. No one plays bowls but there are plenty of young families that need a local family restaurant.
Had joined and paid membership to support the local but will be cancelling my membership tomorrow.
Entitled boomers only it seems. Message received.
