Absolutely disgusting

My parents and I thought we'd stop in for dinner as there aren't too many decent places around so we tend to stay at home and cook most of the time and this was a perfect reminder as to why.

Absolutely no love or effort put into even one dish we had.
The garlic bread was undercooked and tasted as though they'd forgotten the garlic entirely.
There was enough oil on my fish to varnish every table in the establishment and the deck.
The $45 steak was more than half grizzle and fat and the batter on everything in the fisherman's basket was utterly inedible.
We've all come home feeling physically ill due to an old oil overdose. Have never had such an awful dining experience.

Absolutely vile. Wouldn't step foot in the place again if I was paid to.

We just dropped in for a drink. Beautiful little spot and will definitely go back next time we're around the area.

Top feed from the kitchen team. Smitty snitty awesome. Salad refreshing. Entrees were a knock out. Great service and staff are welcoming and helpful. Atmosphere and setting 10/10 what more can you ask for on new years eve. Thanks all highly recommend. Will be back again and again cheers

Today our party of 5 had the most delicious meals we have ever had from anywhere.
I highly recommend this Hotel for the best of everything... Comfort, Service, the Best Meals and a great River View. Indoor & Outdoor Undercover Seating. + a Kids Play Area. It's a Nice Ol' Country Hotel with a great Family Friendly Atmosphere. 10+/10

Went on a Monday night so was quite but the food and service were excellent!!!

It was on Mother's Day and the wait for our food was almost 2 hours , will know better next time not to go on a special day , how ever nice place , and the food is nice.

Had to go down to Smithtown today to pick up some furniture, and found this great little hotel on the river. They could improve customer service. Only stayed a short time about 2 drinks of coke .

Great food, awesome location on the river brilliant service I highly recommend. This is our go-to place in the area for lunch, never disappoints, plus amazing! Table service is so refreshing that you don't have those dam buzzers. Congratulations on great food and service.

Decided to head to Smithtown pub for lunch as nearby Gladstone pub was fully booked out. Food was basic and uninviting. Kids nuggets were microwavable "dinosaur" nuggets.
1 star for the food, 2 stars for Brookvale Union Ginger Beer on tap.

Great views, live music, delicious lunch, all in a covid safe environment. A real gem of a place.

Came here for a great pub feed and wasn't disappointed. The "ocean and earth" (rump topped with salt and pepper squid) was amazing. The meals were big and fulfilling!
