Beautiful place, serene views, the food options have variety I loved that

First time visitor.

Had lunch with 2 friends.
Top feed.
Young girl in restaurant was so lovely. Young man Cohen is a very polite young fella.
Went to the bar and the man brought our water jug over to the table for us.

Will definitely be back.

Wonderful place for a delicious affordable meal, overlooking the golf course. The restaurant staff super friendly and so is the club staff, people hive this place a try!

We had our wedding at SWGC and it was fabulous. The team were easy to communicate with and provided us with everything that we wanted. The service on the night was outstanding, one month later and our guests are still raving about the wonderful job SWGC did, as are we!

3rd visit to this club, pro shop staff are always polite and helpful, course always demands thought before you take your shot & the bar is the place to reflect on the days events.

Club house is new(ish) as in last few years, and they serve decent meals and beverages at a very reasonable price.

Epic course lay out and the newer links style holes are fantastic. The club house and bar was a nice reward once we returned. Overall would recommend it and even becoming a member if you're looking to play regular golf.

Hood golf course with friendly staff. Cold beer with well priced meals.
The balls they sold me didn't go straight and were easily lost.

First time to have played course. Enjoyed the layout .Had to put your tee shot in the right position .Greens rolled well.Also could attack the flags and get reward. Only played 11 holes. Will enjoying playing 18.

Lovely course to challenge all golfers and the Club Bistro is an excellent place to enjoy some good food afterwards. 5 stars to all.

Shortland Waters to me is a beautiful oasis in an otherwise average town. Its location, modern facilities, decor, staff, meals, drinks, parking exceed every expectation of mine.

Great course, very welcoming to new members and certainly the best value for money round of golf in Newcastle

Recently renovated and featuring a new course layout and 5 new holes.
Whilst not the fanciest course in Newcastle, Shortland Waters is good value and a challenging course for all handicappers.

The course has improved immensely.

Worth a visit to the new look course and brand new clubhouse. Nothing ever a hassle to the staff upstairs in the food and beverage hospitality game nor downstairs with the staff on duty in the pro shop. Great course to hire a golf buggy on :-)

I was a member of this club for many years and was very excited to play here again this week while on holiday. I was hugely dissapointed with the new layout of the course, with several of the best and most challenging holes eliminated in favour of easy, generic links style format or soft par 3s and 5s. The course itself was a shadow of its former glory. Poorly maintained and pretty rough in many areas. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Best around, best greens in Newcastle, Challenging Course after recent course re-development. 18 holes with excellent greens, without doubt the best & smoothest in the area & testament to the greens staff here. The new holes built on the now front nine are a Links layout with undulating fairways & larger firm greens with plenty of breaks.
The new clubhouse is fresh & clean, able to be used for functions with good food being served from the restaurant that accommodates children meals & activities, also has happy hours on selected days. Has a full TAB & KENO available with lovely deck overlooking the course to have your meal.
Disabled parking & amenities all single level access (no STAIRS)
Boutique beers on tap as well, Oh and great Friday competition runs until 1:00pm with good prize money though you need to make a booking.

Great little layout.. Well maintained and enough tricky holes to be challenging. Friendly staff in the pro shop is always a good start point.

Under renovations at the moment. Very traditional, old clubhouse...but plans to upgrade this should look and feel fantastic in the near future. Greens are very well maintained and the water views are brilliant. Great for a quick midweek 9 and a cheeky brew after.
