I came in with my friends a few days ago and the service was incredible! Food was amazing and such a beautiful location. I will definitely be coming back. The girl that helped us was named Janessa I think, she was hilarious and very helpful! Overall great experience!

beautiful location and lovely dining area perfect for sunset! food was lovely, we had a mix of some pizzas, sides and a few cocktails. all the staff were really friendly and helpful, especially Tom who made our night speaking about his travels and recommending his favourite cocktails to us. would definitely recommend!!

The location is amazing and the attached restaurants and pub are great. The staff are really friendly and attentive. Thoroughly enjoyed the Greek restaurant, pub food and the cafe for breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed the weekend with my family.

But the resort is kinda tired... Quite expensive ($1400 for 2 nights in a 2 bed, 1 bathroom apartment), room last renovated I would guess at 20 years ago, room not serviced, pool patched with tape, a family member's room had a badly ripped couch.....

We have been eating at the Shoal Bay Country Club for many years and it has always been a solid option in the area that is great for every occasion. The location and facilities are great and unbeatable. The food has always been ok making every night very enjoyable. Unfortunately the food quality has gone down over the last couple of years and our last meal last night was way below the expectations. The fish and chips batter was a dense spongy mass and we couldn't finish it, chips were below average and cold, in the pork ribs you could only taste the sweet sauce and not the meat, Pizza was still the best in the area.
I'm writing this review because we want the food to improve so that we can come back.

Stopped in for dinner with my partner enjoyed the dinner and the wide selection of cocktails. Whilst at the bar, struck up a conversation with Tom and Eddie - clearly an enjoyable workplace which only adds to the atmosphere.

Will definitely visit again!

Whoever designed the menu should get a fat bonus. WOW . The roast chicken is a real stand out , we also got the garlic cheesy bread (INCREDIBLE) and prawn linguine

We saw some live entertainment, had pizza for dinner and some wine on Friday night. The venue is lovely, very much in keeping with its seaside location. I must say, the sound for the band was really spot on. A few more chairs in the entertainment area would have been welcome, but I appreciate the size of the area naturally imposes some restrictions on this. Atmosphere was fabulous.
Our pizza was on the sloppy side, but the taste was delicious. As I liked the sloppiness and my partner didn't, obviously this is a case of personal preference. We were happy with the amount of prawns on our pizza.
The staff were really friendly, helpful and efficient. Great job!
Down side for us was the prices were a little high, but hey, I guess they have to cover costs. Overall, we had a fabulous night out and will definitely spend more time there in the future.

We had our wedding at SBCC and it was perfect! Firstly Nicole was amazing! She saw us originally when we looked at the place, and helped immensely throughout the whole process of planning. She was always there to answer calls or emails, and assisted for a date change when I needed it. The service was incredible on the night. The food was fabulous. I would highly recommend it, if you are planning to get married there. Thankyou for the incredible service, our guests had an amazing night.

The best pizzas in the Shoal Bay, Port Stephens, Nelson Bay area hands down! I drove all the way from North Cove to have their amazing food.

The vibe is sensational especially outdoors on a sunny day, you feel the ambience and are relaxed.

It is such a pleasure to have been here and enjoy their food.

Relaxed coastal atmosphere with a beautiful view over the ocean. Great choice of affordable and delicious food which arrived just after we bought our drinks. Great for families, couples or groups of friends. There is a bar downstairs with a live band and big screen to watch sports on Saturday night if you want to continue drinks.

Went to mermaids for brunch this morning with the family. Good service, friendly and fast. Lots of seating inside and some outside with a view of the beach across the road.
The food was nice, generous portions.
Big breakfast was yummy.
Coffee is very nice too. Would be nice to get a coffee and walk along the beach just across the road.

Beautiful decor, along with a wonderful view. Food is reasonably priced & very tasty too. All in all, a fantastic place for lunch or dinner with the family.

We were staying at Fingal Holiday Park. Thought we drop into Shoal Bay for dinner. We saw Shoal Bay Bay Country Club looks busy so that was a good sign. Upon entering very warm welcome service was on point with smiles??'??
The food was a very big let down.
We order a rump Medium Rare, which came out Charcoal. Smoky Ribs it tasted like short cut been made , tasted like boiled rib with a brush of BBQ sauce instead smoke.

Perfect location. Dinner upstairs looking over the water is magical on a nice evening looking out over the water and the mountains. Have had many meals here and the dinners are excellent. Pizza is top tier sourdough wood fired pizza. Breakfast is great as well, though the servings are a little on the smaller side. Would definitely recommend. 80% of the staff are great, some are very slow and clearly don't want to be there however especially the lady in the bar with the bandana. The wait to order breakfast is pretty rediculous as well having to stand in line for 15-20 minutes with only a handful of people in front of you. It is worth the wait though!

Be sure to come in early to get in one of the best seats upstairs by the window for the amazing view of the Shoal Bay Beach.

We ate at Amos which is an AMAZING Greek restaurant based at the country club.

Hands down some of the best Greek food we have ever eaten.

Plus service to match.

Opposite the beach at Shoal Bay and we got lucky with a beautiful sunset.

The cafe (Mermaids) downstairs has an absolutely amazing breakfast selection, and then the Country Club upstairs is even better. My partner and I both enjoyed all the meals we had here over our 4 day holiday, would rate more stars if I could

The perfect setting for lunch. What better way to soak up the amazing views over the bay. Accompanied by a full service bar with some yummy cocktails and decent menu. Service was friendly and attentive with meals coming out in good time. Our fisherman baskets were delicious. Returned later in the afternoon for sunset drinks.

Best pub we have been in for a long time. Friendly bar staff. Lots of laughs between us and them. Good beer. Wife said her wine was good. Pet friendly. Six of us sitting in front of the pub having a drink with five dogs.

Loved this place. Superb pizza; they have all the classics on a fantastic base. It was packed when we went but everything came out nice and quick. we also had a chance to try the mac and cheese balls, squid, wings and antipasto plate. All delicious! Real friendly service and the band that was playing created a great vibe.
Up top is the place to be during the day. When we went during the evening downstairs was not as busy much easier to find a seat.
Expect to pay a little more than other places but that doesn't take away from what is a brilliant place. Thanks guys!

Had the ricotta spinach pizza, pasta, baby fries and drinks in the evening.

Absolutely loved it all. The pizza was so well balanced and tasty throughout, one of the best I've had (and thought I'd picked a simple one). Worth the price.

Can choose your ambiance and distance from music. Good music too.
Heaps of space and were lucky with parking.

Beautiful meal, though the interior is looking a little tired compared to last visit.
