Kazz Crofts

We go for the pizza. It's good pub pizza. I especially like the prawn and chorizo pizza. They start cooking the pizzas from 4:30pm so it's a great place to go for that early dinner straight after work. We only ever go to this pub on a week night or Sunday eve and it always has a good feel. I'm sure Saturday nights are pumping but haven't been. On weeknights it has the feel of a local even if you're a visitor. You can feel Newcastle's industrial history in the walls. The patrons are relaxed, there's a TV section showing a range of sports, there's a pool table section that's always popular, and the dining section. The industrial surrounds outside are great to look at - silos, coal trains, industrial harbourside. In summer, sit outside with your beer and soak up the Carrington vibe or sit inside and you're bound to strike up a conversation with a local.
