Do not eat here. I'm not sure the beef burger had any meat in it. Chips were overloaded with some synthetic awful salt. Beer was nice.

Food is terrible. We did not finish the barramundi (dry fish with oily batter) and chips nor the beef burger (though not sure there was any meat in that Pattie). Gave it back to chef who did not even bother to offer refund. Poor effort guys.

Good pub, fast food service, gets busy, plenty of outdoor tables. Seniors and daily specials.

Food was excellent. Price for a ginger beer pint was $17.50 which I find excessive. Will unfortunately not visit again if this is the trend for alcoholic beverages.

Made reservations for 5pm and it was a bit disappointing when we arrived, a staff member asked us to look around for our table. Might have been better to walk your patron to the table, bring some menus and explain how we could order drinks/food. Anyway we worked it out for ourselves. Good variety of food which was well priced. . Ordering was easy and we received a buzzer which sounded when the food was ready. Chick Norris burgers, chicken schnitzel and prawn fettuccine was excellent and served hot.

Went there for lunch with a couple of friends meal was delicious reasonably priced and fast only 10 minutes between ordering and eating and the beer was cold service was great as well

Good schnitzel and chippies and very well priced too. Also enjoyed a share cocktail jug which was honestly astonishing and refreshing to say the least! Keep up the hard work guys it doesn't go unnoticed

Seafood platter is quite expensive compared to other places, taste was okay especially calamari but nothing spectacular. It's a very nice high end pub not really hotel but good atmosphere. Next time I'll just stick to steak and chips.

Food is always great and no long wait times, great outdoor area for the kids to play and you can sit right outside, have a beer and supervise in the beer garden.

Super fast service! We ordered dinner (big line up at 6:30pm on a Saturday night), then went to the bar to order drinks and as soon as we sat down, the garlic pizza was ready! We thought the buzzer was broken, but sure enough, it was ready. Our meals came out very quickly after that. Great place to go if you have kids and don't want to wait ages for food, even on a Saturday night when it was pretty packed. We didn't have kids but the playground looked like fun for them as well. We went back again on Sunday night too ?. Pizzas are great, so was the prawn pasta, my sister had the steak 2 nights in a row (cooked perfectly), salt & pepper squid serving is very generous, friendly and helpful staff. Senior meals are also cheap ($12 ?) and more than enough food for our mum. Will try the seafood platter next time ?

We stopped in on our travels for lunch, beautifully decorated and spacious inside, very clean and well maintained. The Parma was great (although a small serving) and the chips were perfect. The service was a bit confusing; going and ordering food at the kitchen, taking a buzzer and collecting the food ourselves, my personal opinion, it's not what you want to do when you've come to sit down and relax on a hot day, nonetheless. A slight downside to our experience was a lady working behind the bar, we were bluntly welcomed from behind the bar and told to grab menus and find a table anywhere. Uninformed, we asked about table service and her answer seemed condescending as if we were supposed to know there wasn't any. We also wanted to eat outside but were told we couldn't sit in the area I pointed at (fair enough, it was smokers), so we sat inside but as we were leaving we saw the outdoor eating area that definitely would have been nice to be told existed. I don't like criticism but friendly and helpful service makes such a big difference when it comes to dining experiences and this definitely put a damper on mine.

Extraordinary Food and Service. Food was ready after 10-15 minutes, Really fast compared to other restaurants I've been to. My Cousin got pasta Bolognese but devoured my brother's chips. You get a free ice cream for every kids meal. My cousin didn't finish her pasta bolognese so the staff gave us a container to put it in to take home. Really good play area for the kids. I would definitely come here again.

We were travelling through the area. Indoor playground is a win for the kids. Especially with all the rain. Staff on phone very friendly. Food was great. So handy being able to eat and keep an eye on the kids playing in a fenced in area. Only negative experiences centred around a lady at the bar. My kids wanted to look at the Christmas tree on the bar service bench and she told me to step away with my 2yo because minors weren't allowed near the bar. Like I get it, your serious about your policies with the bar but cmon, she is a toddler looking at a Christmas tree. Also picked up by the same woman for 2yo having no shoes on in the bistro even though we were just ducking in from outside to use the toilet and I was carrying her. What a grinch! She was rude too. Shame.

This restaurant should be shut down, the fact the price of food is out of control. I have an allergy to garlic and onion and they straight out said no to cooking me a meal cause they couldn't guarantee me a meal that wouldn't be cross contaminated. It would be so easy to clean a pan and a pair of tongs but they just said no. I sat with 8 members of my family with them all having meals and didn't have one.

My uncle ordered a pizza and they took his money and didn't even cook his pizza, but cooked my husbands pizza which is the same pizza. He then went back after everyone of our family members meals came and out and they chef said it wasn't made yet.

The kitchen is an absolute mess and the chef is serving salads with his bare hands. And touching other people's good with his hands and is not wearing gloves.

I'm appalled to be honest

Bit tricky to find it if you aren't local, some signs might help. But when we did find the pub, it was much bigger than we expected it to be. Great value beers, and a solid chicken parmi done right. Staff were great and service was really good. Really good pub to grab some pub classics.

Booked a reservation for my friends 18th birthday, hoping for a nice dinner but because a few of our friends were 17 we weren't allowed to sit and eat. Not happy, the staff were rude and the food is mediocre at best. We were just sitting there hoping to order some dinner and the staff were looking for a reason to kick us out. 0/10 experience

Came down for a weekend with the girls and Salamander Hotel was just beautiful, the staff and the manager were just beautiful! The food was good and the drinks were that much better. Would definitely consider here when you're at a weekend getaway, I would love to come here again for the summer! The staff and managers made conversation and they were just so lovely, made me feel so welcome!

Very friendly and inviting, especially if you have kids. They have one of the biggest play climbers for kids I've seen. Loads of families around and caters for the young and old.

The sports bar section is loaded with screens showing sports of all kind. The facilities always seem to be clean and in really good condition which is nice that it's looked after so well.

Good selection of cocktails and beers. The beers are fresh and cold, always.

The food is generally good. I've had a few meals here:
Meat platter 7.5/10
Salmon and salad 8/10
Seafood platter 6.5/10
Sirloin Steak 3/10 (overdone and tough)
Spaghetti 6.5/10

Will definitely keep coming here with the family.

Service was good in general but for what you pay for lobster and oysters you expect it to be fresh and well cooked. Lobster was rubbery, very over cooked. Oysters were cold and undercooked. We looked forward to this all week with recommendations from locals and a play ground for the kids but it was a big waste of money.
The chips were excellent, whoever made the hot chips needs a raise.

Hang on ,we went back for Wednesday steak night to find it was half the size steak 150-200g sirloin at $21 ...if you want a steak go another night I guess ....

Great spot for a young family. The playground is great for the kids to run around safely so adults can enjoy a drink or meal a little easier. Good range of seating options indoors or out. Easy to get a drink and food and food was good. Plenty of parking extends around the back and easy to get in and out of. Went there a couple times when staying in the area.

Entry staff doing a great job of protecting customers and staff during this COVID time. Staff very friendly. Nice light lunch.

First of all ordered a meat lover pizza and it come out with minimal meat on it/half cooked, second of all ordered a burger, bun was stale, chicken was dry as. Sally Tav used to be one on the greatest in the bay, but lately I've been very disappointed. I'm done with this mob....

A refreshing reno since I was last here, and menu is great too. Daily Specials. Staff upbeat and friendly. Pizza Supreme was... Supreme!

Salamander hotel was really good. Meals were generous and delicious. The place was well laid out and comfortable. It also has a large play area and seating area outside for those with younger children.

My husband travelled to the area for the weekend and came in to have dinner, I had one of the best meals I've had in a very very long time. New York steak with mash and veg and mushroom sauce. EVERY. THING. Had great flavour. My veggies were perfect, the mash was so flavourful and my steaks charging taste was divine. My husband had the chicken burger special and said his burger was very nice and also had great flavours, but his chips were very over cooked and oily so he didn't eat many of them. Besides that the night way great, drinks were great, cool that they have 3 big TV with different sports for everyone's entertainment. We enjoyed watching the footy while enjoying a great meal and drinks. Will definitely be returning!
