You enter the premises, and the first thing you notice is the wall of poppy's. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Meals are well priced and very tasty. I had the calamari, and you could cut it with a spoon. It was so tasty. Partner had the fish, and they liked it. Definitely would go back again.

Great place for a family dinner. Clean and service was wonderful. Food was amazing and recommended for the local area. Our Porterhouse stake was cooked medium exactly to our liking. Marinara Linguini was full of fresh seafood.

The Rye RSL is a really enjoyable dining experience whilst on the Peninsula.
With a modern decor and a well selected menu, including some excellent seafood dishes, you will certainly find value for money.
If oysters are your thing then I suggest starting with a dozen Oysters Kirkpatrick.
Whilst not the hugest oysters, they are certainly fresh and prepared perfectly.
Just the correct amount of everything to make them sensational.
The grilled Barra was cooked to perfection and the scallops were large and plump and perfectly cooked to bring out their best.
The dessert offerings were a little disappointing so we opted not to indulge.
Great cold beer and stunning food in a classy RSL atmosphere. Will revisit there for sure!

The food impressed with its consistent quality across various dishes. The recently refurbished interior boasts a comfortable and modern style, featuring diverse seating areas.

The service was commendable, and the overall atmosphere was neat and tidy. It's a kid-friendly spot, too.

Worst place in Rye. GFO not followed through and not served as listed no one from Management or kitchen can bother to interact with clients when 2 meals are returned first because it wasn't GF and the second because it was in edible. The calamari was hard and it should have had salad with dressing on the side. Honestly how hard is it to buy an airfryer to offer GF chips.

Tried hard over many years to support Rye RSL, but about to give it away altogether.
Steaks ordered medium rare come more than well done, Nasi Goring swamped with oyster sauce and not too much other than rice in it. Could go on, but many dishes extremely disappointing. Changed menu was finally a pleasant surprise, but most dishes very ordinary to poor.
Such a shame. On the other hand, Rosebud RSL is excellent.

Ate here for the 1st time after my partner had told me it was good food... I was super surprised! Service was quick, and the food was delicious and huge portions 😋 kids meals came out even quicker !!
For 3 kids meals and 2 giant mains came to $93! Staffwere all lovely aswell.

First time here and the food was so very disappointing. Kids "nachos" was bolognaise sauce and waxy guac. Seriously is fresh salsa so hard to make?! Worse off my Parma was burnt and inedible. Whoever made this don't call yourself a cook call yourself a burnt. Shameful for sending this out.
When my wife complained the young server advised us she was sorry but there was nothing that could be done because we'd already eaten some of it. Infuriating. And my wife who has managed many a hospo place was in utter shock. The only saving grace was the manager Catherine who promptly apologised for her colleague, poor food and offered to replace or refund our money.
Unfortunately the place is going for profit over quality. The decor is confusing and space is cavernous.
Won't be racing back anytime soon.

i disagree with the gambling machine inside but they are far away from the entrance to be bothered by them.

they have smoking outdoor area if that your thing and bathroom.

We had an excellent midday meal and staff were very friendly to us and my assistance dog.

The parmas are good here and burgers. The other food we tried was pretty average. The salads and steak weren't great. The service was not fantastic. . Probably unlikely to return, but worth trying once. Atmosphere isn't very appealing either.

Arrived for lunch on a Wednesday at 1pm.
Drivers licence-free sign in at the door, they just want your name and address. A very comfortable venue in a modern and well furnished building. The menu offered a variety of choices with meals starting at $25. It was a perfect venue for meeting friends for lunch. Bar staff were helpful and patient when I was uncertain about how to order the drink I wanted. My only complaint is that the grilled fish and chips weren't hot enough and the salt shaker was empty. Maybe they waited a little long before bringing the break out. There were less than a dozen dinners in the place. I'd go there again, but not if you're fussy about how hot your food needs to be.

Fantastic meals for the whole family - our 18 month old loved his burger! Good variety and well priced. Staff are fantastic, lots around so our table was cleared away with minutes of us finishing. Next time we're in Rye we'll be making another visit.

Honest good Pub food.
We had the Porterhouse and the Barramundi. On ordering no issues swaping out chips for vegies ans salad... standard option.
The steak was on point with a nice crunchy outside and soft inside. The vegies were crisp and the sauce light. The salad was fesh and tasted good. The Barramundi crisp outside and juisy inside.
Looking at other reviews I can NOT understand the coments about rude staff...at all!
Prices are fair (for the loction).

A nice clean club. Plenty of bars/places to sit. Meals and drinks reasonably priced.

Excellent large meals, accommodate seniors very well with a free dessert thrown in for good measure. All tasted sublime. Friendly staff topped the experience off perfectly.

Very shocked and disheartened with the way the operation manager"Khalid" handled a complaint of table dining last night. Stood over the customer then proceeded to kick them out.As stated in the Victoria RSL serving your community report "Your local RSL Sub-Branch is a multi purpose venue providing a place for companionship and a safe, welcoming environment for socialising within your community" this however did not seem the case.

Good food, good service, lovely clean place. Great toilets. Definitely worth a trip... Frog in the pond a success for the kids!!

In for a Sunday night dinner and pretty happy with the feed. Burger was a decent size for $22, and the prawn linguine was very good for $30. Nice clean venue. Skip the Rye pub and do the RSL.

Fabulous meal! We were at the pub the night before and food was average so we were not expecting much at the RSL . The food was great! Well presented and yum! My friends had steaks which were cooked to perfection. I had a Parma that was huge! Great atmosphere and lots of dining options. First visit since their renovation and we will go back! Undiscovered gem!!
