very poor staff service. last year me and my girlfriend booking a room for one night. we cancelled the room because we both had covid. the staff told us we could not get any refund for this. but they will give us a credit for us which can be used in one year. today I give them a call and try to rebook an accommodation. somehow, they said cannot found any of my information about my previous booking history and credit. Also did not provide any solution. Very poorly customer supports and service.

Excellent venue for a drink and a bite to eat. We sat on the front terrace and watched the world go by looking across to the ocean. The service is great and they have the standard pub menu which is always easy. If you want a full meal they have a bistro too.

First time here since the changeover. Food was good even though it was limited menu as we arrived at 3pm. Misty's service was outstanding. Definitely coming back.

The location is amazing. Sadly the bar staff were terse and quite frankly rude. One did not open his mouth to speak yet another slammed the drink on the counter spilling some. My carbonara was yummy, schnitzel ordinary and the lemon pepper squid ok but the portions were excellent. We had a great time but some of the staff should develop some level of happiness or be able to fake happiness or seek other employment. So much potential to be great here. Just saying! 😀

First time visit & i found it very pleasant for an afternoon coffee & wine plus hot chips. A lovely surprise to get chips not soaked in oil.
We just had a snack but we'll go back for a meal soon.

I would like to compliment the Bistro staff for the effort they went, to allow us to dine in the Bistro at short notice.

We arrived without a booking and they forewarned us that they were booked out, but given it was before everyone started to arrive they made a great effort to squeeze us in.

When we ordered our meals at the counter, I sat down and within minutes my meal had arrived.

Absolutely fantastic service on probably their busiest night of the year.

Dined here with a friend. The host was so friendly and welcoming and I found the bartenders and servers to be nice and efficient as well.

The food is edible but it isn't great. The Parma was soggy and the sauce tasted funny, definitely not reflective of the $29 price tag.

I would definitely recommend coming here for a drink or a flutter but maybe not for food.

Went there Cup Day. Was surprised that it was so quiet. Got a good spot right in front of the TV. I went to the bar, ordered 3 pints and was staggered that they cost $50 plus change. No wonder it was quiet. Drove past the bowls club afterwards. It was packed.

Visited with my family (9 people) and enjoyed a lovely outdoor seating area with our two dogs. The service provided by the staff was excellent, and the food was incredibly tasty. The only minor inconvenience was the lack of lighting, attributed to water damage. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend this place.

We booked a function room for a 'celebration of life' for a passed loved one and I would just like to say a big thank you to the staff and the service they provided at this difficult time for our family. A special thanks to James who made everything run seamlessly. Thanks again.

My partner and I entered at 7pm on a Saturday night. The smoked salmon pasta and salmon fillet on the daily specials menu had sold out. We purchased the porterhouse and lamb salad. The lamb salad was just weird and covered in a vinaigrette. The steak was extremely over cooked and drenched in a sickly rich mushroom sauce. Unfortunately not a great experience. Service was pretty good though.

Lunched at Rye Hotel twice this week. Just a well run family friendly pub. Today the lovely bar person was super supportive as I tried to stop my big brother paying for lunch. She had every moment under control and ensured we all had a fabulous family reunion. Just sorry I didn't ask her name. Thank you. A real gem!!

We stopped for lunch on Saturday of the long weekend for Easter. The staff were just friendly enough to not be called snarky. Several times when the table was cleared I said thank you and it wasn't even acknowledged with a smile or "no problem".
The food was what I would describe as ordinary. There are about 12 menu items, including salads. Yet the parma still seemed like a frozen parma. Not what I expected for $30+
In my opinion this is a pub to be avoided.

Just came here for dinner. Really nice food, chicken schnitzel was thicker which I liked and very flavoursome. My partner had the salmon and was a big fan. Highly recommend

Have eaten there three times now and including a change of chefs. Each time had been a huge disappointment. Fish and chips is extremely dry flake, and calamari on both occasions was underwhelming with salads that were missing any tomato and the Asian salad being so small it was an absolute non-event and did nothing to enhance the dish. Doubt I would give them a fourth go.

My partner and I had couple of drinks in the beer garden on Australia Day. Great setting, the guy behind the bar was friendly and helpful. There was a couple singing who were really good. Would definitely recommend.

Tasty food and mostly enjoyed our meal. My mum ordered the porterhouse which was advertised on the menu being cheaper for seniors however told their was no seniors price for the steak at time of ordering. Really need to update menus if that is the case because it's false advertising. Staff were lovely and meals arrived quickly. Cabonara was average but kids meals and steaks were great.

Food was pretty average to be honest. I ordered the burger which just looked sad and very much on par with a 3am McDonald's cheeseburger. Very little flavour, drowning in sauce and rubbery. And to charge $30 + a public holiday surcharge is just ridiculous. Coming from years of hospitality background it's disappointing to see a major lack of effort and passion in the food prepared.

Tasty meal, good Jetty Brewery Pale Ale. Excellent that they do smaller meals as an option as that size 140gm was perfect for chicken parmigiana and good chips. The garden salad was a bit odd with beans and all chopped up. Nice device even though short staffed.

This is an unplanned trip and I felt fortunate I met Ian Jarrod who is a great ambassador for the hotel! Ian worked through availability of rooms and ensured I had a great room. Ian is courteous, empathetic and very professional. A big thank you to Matt

We didn't stay the night but had dinner Saturday night. We ordered entree and got that within 10 minutes, so quick. 10 minutes later got our mains as we where eating our entrees. Service was amazing!! My steak was beautifully cooked. Veggies where a bit hard otherwise yum. My partner had the pork ribs, beautifully cooked, fell off the bone yum. Drinks where good. Prices all around where pretty fair.
We decided after a really nice dinner to go back the following day for breakfast and wow! Best milkshake ever! Food was beautifully cooked once again. Recommended for sure

Stopped for 1 night. We were so impressed that we spent a week there. Our room was just great, very comfortable bed, spacious, very well equipped and serviced beautifully each day. The food in restaurant was good. The real treat was the staff. They are so efficient and friendly,. A real fire in bar and the owner keeping an eye on all with a true welcome for guests. We have happy memories of our stay. well done Rye team.

Had a great Sunday lunch, beef tortellini and spiced calamari with chips and salad. Very generous meals, well priced in today's market and very quick service considering the hotel was at 70% capacity.
Staff were very friendly and polite.

Popped down here with the family and friends. Nicely situated on the main drag, heaps of parking out the back. Menu was nice and simple with a handful of options per category and the meals were out in a flash. Being a greedy pig I wasn't too sure about my portion size, but once finished and sitting back, I realised it was spot on.
Staff were super friendly and polite as well and we couldn't be happier about being booked in again here tomorrow night.

Me and my family came here today for lunch. I'd like to comend this venue for Service, Food and attention to detail toward their clients. From when we arrived until we left. It's a shame other hospitality venues don't do the same. This venue still has it. ??'?

Had dinner with my family in the Bistro last night and we were all really happy and impressed with our meals. The Wednesday night Parma deal was great- my Parma was delicious. The service was excellent, staff all very nice and the kids had a fantastic time in the play area.

We decided to spent our anniversary in the area... Great place, super clean room and lovely people! We had a free upgrade to the beach room with the spa, 100% recommended! We will come back

We held a family wake for my recently passed Mum at Rye Hotel, and we were treated like Royalty by James....our rooms were excellent. Our refreshments after the ceremony were excellent. Our evening meals were excellent. Over 40 people attended in total and every single person commented on how well we were looked after....thank you to all staff, but especially to James, whose efforts were MORE THAN EXCELLENT....he went above and beyond to ensure that we received the best possible outcome at all times. A thorough hospitality professional (and I am in the trade myself).If our experience was anything to go by, I would highly recommend Rye Hotel for your function or conference.Great work and thanks again, James.

Double beef burger was awesome! Kids fried Mac and cheese was great too! Good value and great service! Will be back againStayed in a beach front premium king suite and room is gigantic and very clean! My 10 month old had heaps of room to play. Had a nice stay with my family. Only down side was their portable cot did not have proper mattress.

Good old reliable. Good atmosphere, delicious parma. Gravy costs extra but they give you a giant amount of it on the side. Staff are friendly and accommodating. These guys have free EV charging in the parking lot which is very handy. My car charged while I ate lunch and had a cool drink. This establishment is Schweppes so you can order a Pepsi but not a coke :)

We were really impressed with the staff at this venue we walked in with three kids no booking and greeted with a welcoming smile. All of the staff that night were so pleasant and the meals came out super fast for peak dinner service. Would go back based on excellent customer service alone.
