This Hotel is great first time staying here the room was awesome value for money $75 with a shower n communal toilet n bathrooms down the hall the room was comfortable the bed and the linen was clean had a balcony you could go catch the view ..I went downstairs to the restaurant for dinner n ordered a T-bone steak n vegs amazing so delicious they had a band playing for a few hours"s but didn't disturb me at all staying upstairs highly recommend this great hotel 🏨

We went for dinner last week.
I ordered a pineapple juice.
It's was off not fresh.
I told the man serving.
He didn't care he said that's all we got .
Wouldn't change it or refund the money.
Be careful ordering drinks.
Strange service.

Stayed overnight good rooms for the price. Service from bar could have been better was not informed about exits entry point after hours exit and entry???? Leave at 5am how can you exit the premises???

We stayed in the hotel and 7am in the morning the construction started outside our window. Literelly there is a scaffolding outside the window. I gave 1 Star for service as I though they could of given us a room without scaffolding. I asked they were available. Otherwise pleasant for the price.

DELICIOUS!!! We hadn't been for a number of years and wow what a lovely surprise. The waitress who took our order was very friendly and helpful with our menu change request, even the chef said it was not a problem.
Well i have to say the food was so tasty ... great value also. I will be dreaming about my delicious caesar salad till the next time we come and as this will be our new local we will bring our friends!!! Great job for the beautiful kind service and outstanding food !!!

If you know the value of water and have any kind of environmental conscious DO NOT stay here. I thought there was no hot water but there was, it just took 8 minutes to run hot.
I booked a room with ensuite, it was dated as expected ($90/night) but clean-ish. The bed was made with sheets too short, the meal was below average, the people for the most part were lovely. Wifi doesn't work in rooms but does in restaurant and bar area. They were renovating when I was there in what sounded like the room next door, 7am -5pm sounds like hammer drills, saws and general construction noises. The walls are paper thin and with guests getting up at 4:30am it makes sleeping difficult.
10/10 for location and potential. 0/10 for effort and comfort.

The room we had was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The service was excellent, and the restaurant is very good as well. We will stay there again.

Only one person is covering the bar and food orders. The young girl was new and did her best. I did have to wait for a drink for a short time. She didn't know how to do a hot chocolate as she had not been trained. The cutlets were slightly overcooked but still good. I will be going back to eat again.

Very very basic! Bed was comfortable and there was heating and that's it. Had a room with a weird open shower....
Shocking shared bathroom. Cheap for a one night stay when nothing else is available is the only reason you would stay!

We love to have tap beer most of the times here.

Everyone was very accommodating, free wifi helped with a bored teen. Everyone from the cleaning staff to the restaurant and bar staff were all super friendly and helpful. Really a fantastic place to stay. Close to all shops if you don't feel like driving.

This place is an absolute dump. People drunk and rowdy until well after 3 pm. My accommodation was changed to a Harry Potter Cupboard under the stairs type room. I would have got more sleep at the park across the road. Oh well, what can you expect for $70?

I went there for lunch. The steaks were reasonably priced. My steak was cooked to my satisfaction. My 200g sirloin was delicious! Also the chips were really nice and i enjoyed the salad. We had the squid for entree and it was just delightful. I'd say the squid i've ever had. The atmosphere there was pleasant and had friendly staff. A big thumbs up!

I did not stay at the hotel but I ate there for dinner. I asked for medium 400g NY Sirloin and I was given which I believe was a 250g and was a medium well (not happy). The meat was dry also it seemed the chef cut corners by putting the food in a pan grill and then steaming the meat with water to make it cook faster. By doing this method the meat comes our dry and uneven.

The vegetables that came with it seemed to be frozen vegetables which you can buy from coles. The gravy seemed artificial too which taste similar to a Gravox.

I usually like pub food but the food was a disappointment and I also asked the lady at the counter telling her it is not a 400g steak and she told me it was.

I am a former chef and worked in kitchens for years and I have to say in comparison smaller pubs with a cheaper cost wise menu costs taste better than the food prepared by this place.

Don't eat here the food is not worth the money as the chef or cook cut corners.

Don't waste you money here, no matter how cheap. How do I start, first we booked two rooms for four people, and were given two single bed rooms, there was no water, shower or toilets in the rooms and the gross communal showers had no hot water. Then when I grabbed the kettle for a coffee hit, the kettle had mould growing in it and there was a dead spider sitting in the bottom of the kettle, this place is gross, better off going to the caravan park.

Good clean rooms with comfortable beds some of the furnishings were a little dated as were the bathroom facilities on the 3rd floor the staff are very friendly and polite and meals are excellent and affordable I'll definitely be staying there again

I have never been in that hotel.none here I am afraid I am a bit dull in that direction.we stick to the Coffee Club Cafe.thats about my limit.Beaut service there good cooks and the staff are terrific.Darren is pleasant he is the owner so any nonsense and you can get thrown out.ha ha.. Haven't been yet .Bruce and I will have been married 60 years in August.not bad is it.still love each other too.wont bore you any more hope everyone is keeping well.wear a mask .bye Grace..we go with Live better.old age.ha.ha.

Was ok. I had the schnitzel which wasn't nothing special but my partner had bangers and mash which he loved. Staff where friendly but the seating wasn't very comfortable.

Came to Orange for a family overnighter with my daughter. We had a very nice meal in the bistro and our room was clean, warm and comfortable, (with a piping-hot shower in the morning with nice, clean towels). The staff are friendly and helpful. My daughter was feeling like some ice cream + topping later in the evening. It wasn't on the menu, but it was made for her...no charge! What a lovely gesture! There was a breakfast on offer, but neither of us are ones to eat early in the morning. Still, another aspect of the hotel that is noteworthy. Thanx for a great stay.

Light, bright, clean and airy. Good honest food. Lives up to it's name as 'The Friendly Pub' with great service.

Great location, walking distance to Orange Shopping Centre, excellent Bistro food had steak, cooked to perfection. Reasonable accommodation price, big room for our family, kids enjoyed a lot. Very friendly staffs, thank you Caz. Only suggestion to Adam or management, please update the room photos as they are far better than they look in Website's photos.
We will definitely be back and Highly Recommend to our friends.

The was sensational. Very reasonable prices. Bar staff a little slow to serve however the atmosphere was very relaxing for a nice Saturday lunch.

Thoroughly enjoyed a few cold ones at the Royal. Great bar for watching the world go by and people watching.
Beer was cold and staff were cool as.
Only had an entree of spring rolls for food and they were beautiful, one of the staff said they will be nothing like you have had before, definitely yummy.

Well the place is nice if you are going there just to sleep overnight or if you are looking for a quick accommodation. It is not disabled friendly, you have to share the toilets with the other guests and the rooms have a funny smell. The price is rasonable and you get free breakfast (Cereal/toasts).

Nice pub, well appointed, food was plentiful but sometimes bigger isn't better. Staff were great.

I used to love the steak and pork bone here. One time the pork bone was undercooked and the waitress told me I should have told her I need it to be well done. Also the quality changed. Tough to eat.The chips used to be nice and now it hadChanged, tasteless, not good anymore.Today the t bone was extremely bitter! Every bite just bitter! (not the first time). I couldnt finished it and I wont come back anymore.
