Highly recommend this pub for a feed and a drink. The publican is friendly and a good bloke to chat to, and the customers were great to chat to. Really enjoyed our couple of drinks and the chat.

Great music in this venue and it's huge inside also a good old fashioned pub. Hot coffee. Enjoyed the burger and it is messy in a good way.

Pretty small washroom near the bar also I didn't notice there is another washroom underneath the arch also not signposted clearly.

Went for lunch, friend ordered a schnitzel not to be over cooked, came overcooked complained to chef the manager came out told her she was wrong it was perfectly fine. Asked for her money back and we were told to leave and not come back. My fisherman's basket was tiny. Took forever to order, service very slow. Would eat anywhere but here.

Food was horrible the onion rings came out and I don't even think I seen an onion in the jumbled mess of batter . The calamari steaks as they call edit was pretty much a calamari schnitzel without any toppings like they used to be a few months ago also was watery as all hell the chicken schnitzel I tried from my friends plate was burnt as and chewy and filth my friends medium rare steak came out not medium rare as he asked not even close. The salad bar pasta had 0 taste at all and had to pay 2.50 which I still don't think was worth it the chicken taco starter may as well been a chicken nugget one of them had two little balls of chicken on it overall disappointing experience compared to what I've had there before.

The best Schnitzel menu I have ever seen, and terrific value. There was chicken, beef and calamari schnitzel. Plenty of drink options and a warm eating area.

Chefs move around a lot, but when I was there, the meals were lovely! Nice pub with classic older feel.

The food was great, fresh, including the topper, there is a free salad bar and the service was really good. The place is old and a bit run down, just the way it should be. No instagraming here, which makes it even better. Would recommend for a meal and a beer. There's a small game room (pool, pinball etc) and a pokies room (which you should skip).

Laid back atmosphere. Friendly locals. Decent counter meals. If you like honest and slightly daggy country pubs, the Royal is worth checking out.

Schnitzel with dianne sauce was awesome but the vibe of the pub was fairly dismal. Menu was very schnitzel orientated which I didn't mind. Lots and lots of schnitzel toppers.

Booked a table for 6pm Friday. Arrived 5 minutes early. Entered the dining room but a bar tender advised it didn't open until 6pm. Waited in the bar, nobody approached us to say the room was now open. Sat in the bar for 15 minutes then left. There was no-one else we could see in the dining room. Apparently too much trouble for a couple of visitors to the town.

Was able to order takeaway...loved our chicken schnitzels but the many varieties of toppings did make it hard to decide though. 😄

Absolutely fantastic meals, delicious schnitzels. Great, friendly service. Welcoming vibe and helpful bar staff. Very accomodating to the 3 joint birthdays we were celebrating! Hadn't been here before but definitely will be back, thanks guys!

Lovely food, well presented. We didn't pay for Silver Service.

We had a great Pizzas there at the time and they were delicious and a friendly atmosphere.

Great meals and friendly service. Budget rooms were spot on for the price. Clean and comfortable.

The Ribs with onion rings go hard, there is also CC&Dry on tap. The dining room was decently sized, not massive by any means of the imagery, but not overly small either. The bed's were a bit hard to sit on but not bad to sleep on. Not sure about room sizes, we asked for a room that sleeps 2, but thay gave us 2 single rooms instead. So don't know if thay do a double room or not. Decent people. So all in all no a bad joint.

Splendid meal today. Tender roast lamb, tasty veg, and crepes to die for. 4.5 stars.

Beer cold but the meals unfortunately average. Either the steak knife was blunt or the steak thought but they did not work together. Normal knife worked a bit better but still not able to successfully cut the steak. Steak a bit too rare for medium-rare. Sauces on both meals seemed the same but we listed as different on the menu. Other meal was a schnitzel with Tuscan topping and the steak was a surf and turf

Fantastic especially seen we won the meat tray. The chef's meals are the best and bar staff make you feel so welcome.

We ordered take away meals to be delivered to caravan park they were still hot and delicious they were very accommodating.nn.

Stayed last night on our way to Brisbane. Great welcome. Beer cold and tasty. Food great. Bed comfortable.

Good old country pub, Cold beer and friendly staff. If your hungry they have the best schnitty menu I have ever seen plus a fresh selection of salads.
