As someone who frequents Carlton pub, I have to say, I absolutely love their Thursday beer and burger special. For just $15, I get to enjoy a mouthwatering burger paired with a cold pint, and it's truly a fantastic deal. The staff members are always friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is just right for kicking back and relaxing after a busy day. It's become a tradition for me - I look forward to it every week!

If you are looking for a pub with a huge menu and amazing food then you must come to the Royal Carlton Hotel!

We've been here so many times either for a drink or a meal and always leave happy! We have also ordered food for takeaway from here before as we love the food here so much!

I recommend to get either the beef burger or the nachos as those are my favourites!

The staff are extremely friendly especially the chef when we pick up our food from the counter!

I went there today and that was the worst decision. Steak mash potato and veggies all were cold, dry felt like they cooked it in morning and microwaved it. Chips were not fresh too and were smelling. Only good was a salad. Will never go there again.

We celebrated my daughter's 18th here and the whole family had a wonderful time. The meals are generous and great value for money and the staff were great - very friendly, polite and kind.

I don't want to give them a star because I was wearing my Broncos jersey and after the game I went back didn't even have a beer at the game and I went in there after the game had a Schooner but there were people way intoxicated then I was and I got refused after a Schooner

It is convenient to pop in for a quick beer. Only downside is the smoking room is right near the bar and restaurant so the whole place stinks of cigarette smoke. Hopefully they fix that one day.

Took the family out with 5 year olds running around. Not busy at all on a Tuesday night. Food was great. Came out quick. Casual atmosphere. Would come again

Avoid this place! I recently went to the Carlton hotel for dinner with two friends. They both ate the same meal, and both got food poisoning the next day. They reflected that the salad wasn't fresh and thought the bean sprouts were likely the culprit. When I reported it to the operations manager, Joshua Green, his response was very unprofessional. He literally said "From a business perspective we can't offer refunds to all the people who report food poisoning" which of course begs the obvious question: Is it a common occurrence for people to report food poisoning to him?! He then proceeded to make the laughable suggestion that bean sprouts can cause indigestion that mimics infectious gastroenteritis but actually isn't. He added other nonsense comments, such as that the reason raw bean sprouts are unadvisable in pregnancy is because they cause indigestion, not because of risk of bacterial contamination. Instead of offering a sincere apology (which is the only logical response to a complaint like this), he questioned the validity of what I was saying and responded in an aggressive and defensive manner. At the end of the phone call (after he'd wasted my time) he said that instead of speaking with me he needs to speak with my friends who had the food poisoning. I spoke with my friends afterwards and we decided that it was not worth them calling him because this guy was clearly not at all interested in taking our feedback seriously or responding to it appropriately. And to be honest, I wanted to save them the frustration of trying to have a respectful and productive conversation with him. This has definitely been the worst customer experience I have ever had. I have shared this experience with my family and friends who often go to the Carlton pub. None of us will be going there anymore. If you're looking for a good pub in the area, I suggest going to the Allawah Hotel, which has great food and is managed professionally.

This place is getting better. The food is reasonably priced and good pub fare. Worth purchasing a membership if you aim to come back at all as you get good discounts on food and drink.

Great food and drinks are good too! Blue passion mojito is refreshing. Pizza is nice too not too fatty or greasy!

UPDATE... Gave the place another chance, went on burger and beer night, tried the wagyu beef burger, nasty pre formed patty, tasteless. Chips were nice, but if I wanted a beef rissole I would have made some. About as tasty as a Maccers....
Pretty average, bland Bistro food. Nothing Special with exception to the Fish and Chips, which was good. The food just seemed like production line fast food, no love in it at all. Ate here 3 nights in a row as I had just moved nearby, thankfully my kitchen is now set up at home (chef by trade) Bar staff are exceptionally friendly and good at their job

Such a great place to go have a drink with the locals such great people, the bar staff are lovely and always very friendly, the food is always spot on, definately give this place a ??'? and highly recommend going there for a feed.

It's a good place to go after work, the week night specials are cheaper with 50 cent wings or 15 dollar pizza and beer on various nights. Food is delicious, staff are friendly, and the space is kept clean.

Friendly and wonderful staff who were so thrilled to have a big group of us in the pub. Beautiful and sun streaming through the windows. A really enjoyable place to spend a weekend afternoon!

Love this local! Great food, super friendly staff, huge amount of seating. I miss their old specials, but really appreciate that their new menu has gluten free options marked so clearly! Chefs are also super nice and pay attention to any dietary needs.

Unfortunately I was barred for life for arguing with staff & Security over the pool table?I didn't threaten anybody but did verbally abuse staff?.
But I do recommend the place for a quite drink & food.

The Royal was one of our "go to" places which we were semi regulars for many years. ??'?
However recently they totally changed the menu & removed pretty much all of our favourites (Souvlaki, hotpot, etc.) ?
The menu is now extremely limited. ? As well they introduced a "membership" which gives discounts but costs $10. We reasoned it wasn't for us. ?
As well it's on a very busy intersection & they insist in having All doors & windows open. ???' It's not just the traffic noise but the smell of fuel.
Another venue now off our list. ???'

Before the lockdown when i visited the food was amazing.
Had steak and pasta. Good quality and good value for the money.
New caterer company doing a good job.
Will be back again after the lockdown.

Used to be my ;local' and i don't get there often enough these days, but always a warm, friendly welcome, good food and a nice, spacious TAB area.

Perfect for a beer after the dragons win. Good open bar area with plenty of seats and good selection of standard beers and some more crafty beers.

The food was delicious and the servings generous. Everything was decently priced and it came out very promptly. The staff are smiling and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely be back.
