I'm a regular customer of the Royal Bond, I live 10 min away from it. I felt uncomfortable and disrespected by a bartender tonight . The bartender herself suggested calling the manager and said that if I had a complaint I could talk to her so I talked to the manager explaining what happened but there was not even an apology for the bartender's ostile behaviour towards me and the manager even defended the employee when I said the bartender made fun of me. looks like they are close friends. Terrible professional conduct!

Great pub, awesome vibes, trivia host humour on par, but sardines are disgusting, awful, why can't they cook them yuk

Best pub in Bondi, although it's been Merivaled still has its old dive bar vibe which is great. Handy being connected to tottis too

After a long anticipated booking to dine at Totti's, the unexpected downpour ruined our dinner plans UNTIL the manager of the Royal Hotel, Zander saved the night. Customer experience is evidently a priority in Zander's work ethic, and this young man went above and beyond to give my family and brother, who has special needs, an even better than expected dining experience. We sincerely thank you and appreciate your service.

I was celebrating my friends birthday on a Friday night and I was the one that recommend the place to him because it USED to be my favorite place for drinks and dancing. But apparently you can't dance to much and have fun. The new security team are not friendly and have a very rude approach, have no idea what having a good time looks like ! Which is very different from the previous security guys! I'm a bondi local, and it's such a shame the venue has changed that much. Not going back there anymore, so are my friends.

I've never seen so much discrimination from security guards in Australia. I advice you to never go to this place If you are looking to have fun, chat and dance, cause they can kick you out, drag you out of there for no reasonable reason at anytime. Not mentioning they will never look in your face if you are trying to talk to them.. they feel they are Gods but they are just cowards with a high vis jacket trying to make people feel miserable. I went to celebrate my Bday there last night and was the worst decision ever. Funny fact the security staff used to be super cool before Covid. The new security company should have better training to learn how to deal with the public. Shame!

I used to LOVE this place but yesterday I went and they changed all the security guards, these new security guards are extremely rude, please hire back the old security staff who did their job efficiently and were nice to customers.

If you want to get rejected for being sober and trying to have a good time with your mates... this is NOT the place. Meaning not the place it once was.. perhaps because of new management that ONLY allows half drunk girls to come inside. Terrible customer service and it smells like feet anyway why would you bother???

I lived on Denham St and you couldn't walk in the pub without bumping into somebody selling grass or hash.
I absolutely loved it.

What a great bar brilliant atmosphere!!! Then you go through the back and an amazing Restaurant called Tottis has Italian cuisine.

This is number 54 and is in the top 3 best bars I've been to in Bondi. I travelled in from Granville and just trust me it was worth it in my opinion.

My week had been long and tiring and all I wanted was a bottle of wine. The men at the bottle shop were so helpful and genuine. They pointed me in the direction of 'sunny' pet nat and let me tell you it IS sunny! Made my week. Thank you for your generosity and help.

Love this pub! The Tuesday quiz is well worth attending. Trivia, sport and good local questions fills the pub. Great atmosphere, good selection of wines and ales, friendly service. Recommended.

Rowdy and food fun. Even though it's now a Merivale pub, it hasn't lost its rough edges.

This place doesn't even deserve any stars by the way we were judged by the bouncer...we had to give proof of our receipt from a restaurant up the road to show him how many drinks we had....never in my life have I had to do that... unprofessional from the bouncer....a joke to be honest.

Great pub but this is getting a 2 star review because of the security guard working at the entrance on Tuesday 1st of Feb at 6.30pm. As a local I hope the managers don't hire this guy again

A traditional heritage pub, but with a bit more going on inside. There was a DJ on the Sunday afternoon, and after around 5pm it got nicely busy. All floor and bar staff, management and door staff were lovely, in stark contrast to places like the Imperial in Erskiville for example. It's stays on our Bondi pub crawl itinerary.

Pretty good 'locals style' pub. Nothing to rave about, nothing bad to say either. The restaurant has a good reputation but yet to eat there myself

Definitely lucky to have this as my local pub. The Royal has the best happy hourS at 6-8pm! They have trivia nights, a DJ most nights, pool tables (although temporarily closed due to covid restrictions), everything you'd need for a fun night. An important thing to note is they only serve food from Totti's, which is usually delicious. But I do miss the regular bar food sometimes.

Copped a traffic violation ex Waverly council $272. Better to hide than be seen enjoying yourself. Shame about the bureaucracy

Not bad, I understand that it's not of a night venue.

One of the few boozers left in Bondi Beach. Taken over by Merrivale but luckily they left it pretty much alone.

People told me this was rough. Its not and I love it. Very friendly staff, good cocktails and open most of the time. Glad its my local!

Atmosphere and COVID19 contact tracing was top notch, was there for a girlfriends birthday drinks and loved it. Only thing was the drinks were a bit more expensive than what I'm used to paying
