The young man working the bar named Rowan had excellent customer service. When I told him my car tire had popped he rushed outside and helped me put on my spare. I can not thank this kind soul enough.

Honestly one of the worst meals of my life! Absolutely horrible! We could only laugh when the Charcuterie Board came to the table. Menu vs Reality...Cured meats-Cheap shaved ham and Mortadella, Local cheeses-half a slice of Tasty Cheese, Focaccia- ok that was focaccia two strips toasted. piccalilli- a spoon full of 333 Mustard pickles, grissini-cheap supermarket breadsticks broken and scatter on the plate. Other dishes included the calamari that was like eating rubber bands but rubber bands have more flavour. The Gravy that was obviously Gravox but they tried to add some spice which made it worse and the coleslaw was rancid! I thought I was on candid camera and someone was plying a joke on us!

Renovation is incredible. Sensational sports bar as well as amazing dining upstairs. If you want a beer and a bet, this is your pub or head upstairs for the balcony and dining and you get away from tab etc. Pool table at the back is handy too, tv above it is even handier. Grab a beer here, you'll rate it!

We frequently attend the Tuesday night trivia with a large group of friends, and we all thoroughly enjoy both the food, atmosphere and experience!

The pub has a fantastic, homely decor with a very cosy, large open indoor area with a live fireplace, arcade cabinet tables and big comfy chairs. Perhaps a bit dusty, but it adds to the heritage charm.

We absolutely loved the fried chicken pieces, the pie, and the chicken parmigiana! Every dish was hot and crispy, and very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity! The chicken pieces were crispy and well battered, delicious and tender, and were certainly a highlight on the menu! The parmi was well cooked throughout and was very tasty on every bite.

The food, trivia and atmosphere all combine together for an enjoyable charm and great place to stop and enjoy dinner on a weekday evening!

Cool pub with a nice balcony. Good food. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. We had the boss burger with Assahi beer. Seems to show all the sports. Good range of beers, spirits and wines. Food was tasty and came out quick.
Has a few nice leather lounges and a pool table.
I reccomend this place for groups, couple or even on your own.

New in the area. Went to this place with my wife. We both loved the miso bakes salmon. Top quality food and wine.

Pub is full of character, great vibe, shows all the sport, staff are nice, drinks are well priced and the food is great.

Visited Australia Day, the bartender 5"2 max with shoes, had the most inviting smile provided me with the most immaculate service. He mesmerized me as soon as we locked eyes, and instantly had to had to give him a 2% tip.

Waited 1.5hrs for our food. First thing that came out was the wrong order so we had to send it back. Staff was not very apologetic about the wait or the wrong order. Food was average.
As the sun set we were sitting in the dark on the balcony and had to ask the waiter to turn on the lights.
It was ok but wouldn't come again.

The day our group of walkers met at the Red Lion for lunch & a few drinks, we were expecting a good time. Sadly, our prior notification of numbers of people, with a pre-organized meals to names list, went unplanned & un-organized. Our numbers threw a spanner in the pubs works. Missed meals, wrong meals. Not enough staff to do either food or drinks. The kitchen, just could not cope. Schnitzels too thick, pulled chicken that wasn't pulled! Etc, etc. With all the pre-notification the pub had; there was no excuse for such a shabby experience.

Friendly local pub with heaps of different areas for everyone, from a bar at the front, a lounge area further in, and a big family friendly area upstairs with a big balcony.
Food is always a winner here with generous portions.
Well worth a visit.

Great local pub. Pretty standard pub menu but don't be misled. Food really well done and nice atmosphere. Staff obliging and friendly. Drinks well priced. Good value and fun experience.

"Shan" the lacklustre attendant In the public Bar made it obvious that using the NSW government vouchers was a major issue for her. She whinged and moaned the whole time when processing them and made a big scene. Probably needs to find a new job as hospitality isn't her thing, despite the government directed subsidies and only allocated a $20 discount to the $25 voucher.

Food average ordered a rare steak - - came medium well. Can't even cook a steak.

I won't be back . Just a B-Grade establishment that won't cut it the modern hospo scene on the inner west.

Called in with a mate and both of us had the snitzel parmigiana.The slaw and chips were very good but the snitzel was exceptional.Best Ive had for a long time. Great food and staff.

Shannon the manager is always a pleasure. Good service great clientele. Music on weekends makes the pub a it a good place for a quiet drink or to meet friends. All the staff are attentive and polite. The restaurant is great and service a dream. I highly recommended The Red Lion Hotel for a function or just a fun outing. I've even seen film crews and.actors making a scene for TV there.

The food is good but they just gave me green beans with my chicken nuggets. The menu said mixed vegetables but I only got one type. Tennille.

Nice food and atmosphere. We went to the Red Lion for a birthday celebration and sat upstairs. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. It was good pub food and we all enjoyed our meals. Standouts were the salt and pepper prawns, the chicken schnitzel and chicken salad. Some more vegetarian/pescatarean options would be great. The staff were friendly and efficient. Great place to catchup with friends for an easy meal and a few drinks.

Just visited here for the first time to collect our vegan Christmas hamper and decided to have lunch too.

OMG the menu here is spectacular!

So many pub classics and all vegan! I had the chicken parmigiana and it was awesome. The wife had a burger and loved it.

The restaurant area upstairs is huge and the whole place has that old country pub vibe, right down to the old thick green carpet which creaks underfoot with every step.

I will be heading back here frequently to sample all the food on offer and to chill on the balcony with a few beers.
