It's a good pub but...
There seems to be an issue with kitchen and pizza oven. The pizza always comes first. Constantly letting my pizza go cold while waiting for the others at my table to get their mains, up to 20mins, so we can all eat together. This happens every time. I've been told by staff that's how it works, pizza comes out as soon as it's ready. Ridiculous. Having said that the pizza are very good and the fries wonderfully crispy

Really enjoyed the food here while visiting for a friend's birthday. Tried the sausage pizza (would recommend), potato & bacon pizza (needed more rosemary for punch), zucchini pizza, calamari, and chips.

The only real downside was just how stinking hot it got under the tent/tarp that covers the main area. The misting machines didn't really spread far enough for some people to feel. After a while we moved towards the back brewery area and that was much more open air and pleasant!

I cannot rate the service here highly enough!! My friends had a lovely afternoon birthday party in the garden, great food and drinks and atmosphere, and the staff helped me execute the perfect birthday surprise from overseas. Mickey the Assistant Manager went above and beyond, arranging a cute little birthday card and a couple bottles of sparkling to be brought to their table. It was so thoughtful and well executed, and it really made their day.

Great setting. Is attached to batch brewing and they allow you to get beers from there into the pub which is nice. Also, a good selection of wood fired pizzas are available.

Great place to spend a few hours drinking beer. Food is great. And loads of outdoor space if the weather is good.

Had a lovely dinner here tonight with my Mum. Both had the sirloin steak, crispy potatoes and rocket salad. Steak was nice and tender, a little rare but still tasty, potatoes were lovely & crispy and salad was nice & fresh. Staff were very attentive and friendly. It was a quiet night there which we both enjoyed as it had been a long day. Will definitely be back.

Popped in for dinner tonight and got the steak I have to say the nicest part of the meal was the lettuce with a sprinkle of Parmesan, which is all I ate. For $36 you guys seriously need to lift your game. Your potatoes tasted like they were re-heated in the microwave and as for the steak I'm not even gonna try, it was just horrible.

I enjoyed our visit this evening. Staff were super friendly and the outside area is cute. Cold... but cute. Not much can really be done to keep things warmer as they provide gas heaters for the backyard area. Just rug up if going out to the back bar area in winter. GREAT pizza!

The food is decent, there's a good atmosphere and the staff are friendly and helpful. I'm not sure if we were there on an especially busy/short-staffed night, but the lines to order food and drinks were really long, which meant you'd be away from your mates for 10+ minutes just getting a beer. Feels like they need a few more people behind the bar.

Bad food, bad atmosphere, ok selection of drinks, the place is usually.going to be full for.some function or another and the staff will treat you like you don't matter, food is overpriced and subpar

The chicken was cooked well. Soft and tender and the crumb was not burnt so that's good the sauce was good but a bit flat but nice. The provolone cheese was a good choice maybe a little more would be good.
The chips were fresh and hot with a little of their own seasoning. A win.
The rocket salad with a little olive oil was the let down.
But a good size feed.
A good time was had by all.

Four out of five plates cleaned.

Great local pub for pizzas, beer, natural wines and most importantly DOGGOS! lovely large outdoor area with undercover seating too. They host awesome events regularly

I was happy when i went last time . But i had dinner yesterday with my wife there. Girl At bar was good. Beer was good. But food was let down . Pizza have no toppings and so blend and staff served us. Not that friendly. I told girl serve us if she gave us extra plates we are sharing . She never came back . No thanks or you're welcome words used . Maybe we look different

Incredible spot! love it so much, great beer, wine and food is good too. really chill vibes and the staff are so helpful and friendly - especially hannah (blue hair) who made our night brilliant!

Called in on a Sunday for a pub lunch and have to say the food and service was brilliant. Manager super helpful about the different beers on tap, and generally the place had such a friendly vibe. Plus loved the old pressed metal ceilings, it just feels like a classic Australian pub only in the inner west. Definitely returning for a game of pool upstairs, thanks guys :)

A great dog friendly pub, with a solid range of beers and food.
Stopped by for a bite and pint - the polenta chips and vegan mushroom hummus pesto pizza were ??'?. Will definitely go back next time I'm in the area.

Quality venue this in historical part of Sydney.
Awesome staff, fantastic selection of cold beers and ales, superb food. What more do ya want?
Also staff allowed me to read some of Johnny Depp's court transcripts and did not call the police. Quality. We will be back.

Public House is a must visit. It's a quick walk from Petersham station and It has everything you want in a venue. A variety of areas, large courtyard, good food offering and delicious local beers. Perfect spot for a birthday or catchup with friends. Highly recommend.

I went to picked up take away this evening and the two girls where so nice, on the phone and when I went to the venue. I really appreciated, specially now that is a very difficult time to everybody.

The pizzas... amazing!!! A 10+ to the venue :)

Great atmosphere, good selection of beers, the italian influenced menu was tasty. Able to fit us in with a 14 person booking with only a few days notice, the space they gave us was awesome. Loved the dog-friendly beer garden. I've been wanting to go here since it opened years ago and finally made it for my 40th celebratory drinks - it won't be that long until I go back

There is so much to love about this place. Large, mostly sheltered, outdoor space with laid back vibe. A separate Batch brewery 'R&D' area with great beers on tap. Unfortunately the food we had was a big let down. Our group was one of the first to arrive and the place was mostly empty. We waited about 30 mins to get our pizzas, and unfortunately they were very bland.
Would still be happy to come back for a few drinks, but probably won't try the food again.

This place is really great! The venue has good coverage for rain, music, pool tables and a 180° bar in the middle. The food is also very decent.

Son is a hipster so for him he loves it for me a pub with something different is great,so I really like this place.
Food is really good ,anything we have chosen has been very tasty every time.
Lovely cold dark beer so you got me first time I went.
Book a table if you want to be there after 3pm on weekends as it's busy and you will be struggling to get a seat .
Anywhere that's good is always hard to get a walk up seat, don't be surprised though you might just jag the lucky last table.
Will be going there many more times hopefully for as long as the hipster son keeps renting his house around the corner
