Typical shiny floor, overly bright modern pub. Service is good, staff are friendly.

Has an assortment of beers, TVs with sports playing around the venue.

There is one single vegetarian meal on the menu. The blandest spaghetti possible. It tasted like a drop of no-brand supermarket pasta sauce and spaghetti for $24.

No thanks.

Disappointing Pokie Room Experience

I've given the Nundah Royal pokie room five chances over recent months and have left disappointed every time. I fully understand that gambling involves winning and losing, and I'm not expecting to walk away ahead. However, the overall experience has consistently been poor and, for me, the venue simply doesn't offer the level of enjoyment I'd expect.

What makes it more frustrating is that the venue has recently undergone a significant refurbishment and capital investment program. The place certainly looks better, but as a customer it leaves me wondering where the balance lies between investing in the venue and delivering a rewarding experience for patrons. Obviously, that's just my personal view and observation, but it does feel as though customers are helping fund these improvements without seeing much value returned in the gaming experience.

I appreciate that others may have a different experience, but based on my last five visits, I won't be returning to the pokie room and would choose other venues instead.

This keeps the criticism pointed but avoids directly alleging anything improper about the venue's gaming operations or payout rates.

I came here today for lunch for the first time, the meal was ok except for the steak being really tough almost needed a chainsaw. After lunch I went to the pokies, as soon as I walked in there was a older guy with long hair and missing teeth who kept on staring at me i said hello but obviously cat bit his tongue off. I don\'t think I\'ll be back it seems like one of these pubs if your not a local everyone is rude to you.

Unfortunately the Parmy meal was rubbish. Processed, pressed then, chicken rubber. The salad looked like old dry slaw on some spinach leaves. $31 with a gravy. I was starving, it was edible, and I ate it. But would defo never buy that again. Two friends had a steak meal and a wagyu burger. They said theirs was nice. Chicken parmy was a processed insult. POW need to do far better with an Aussie classic. New renovation looks quite nice.

Went yesterday. The renovation looks great! Good vibes. Nice servers and quite a lot of staff on. Althought i did still have to wait a little while to be served and did overhear some maybe \"outside of work\" chat while waiting. Had a couple cocktails, French and Marg. They weren\'t good unfortunately. When you\'re paying $20 a drink, the result really shows how much they care about what their customers experience was like. Overall great place but maybe not for cocktails - hopefully better next time
