Awesome food cooked the way it should be! Steak cooked perfectly, most places struggle to cook a decent medium rare steak, twice now text book steak , and other meals on point as well! Highly recommend!! 10/10

We had lunch yesterday. One Battered Flathead, chips old?? One Garlic Prawns, ok.
One Bangers and Mash. Potato mash too liquid and tasteless. The sausages dry and hard.
We told the waitress that we were not happy. I told her to tell the cook to throw the sausages in the bin. To our understanding they were reheated. And the cook does not know how to make mash. And I told this to the personal. NO FEEDBACK FROM THE KITCHEN.
I would have expected the cook gets the feedback and he / she would come and explain or apologize.

The food was very good. I had the Parmi and my mate had the eye fillet. Both cooked perfectly. The only concern I had were the few flys inside the dinning hall buzzing around us.

Had THE best Blue steak ! It's very rare that I get my steak cooked to my liking,but this Tacern nailed it.

Visited Pottsville Tavern over the weekend for lunch,fantastic. Behind a shopping centre,a local tavern serving great food,at very reasonable prices,great wine list.Staff were great.Dogs are welcome in outdoor area

This is my favourite restaurant for Parmigiana, we travel from Southport to Pottsville to enjoy Chief Jodi creations. I really love and enjoy Pottsville Tavern food and atmosphere.

I had steak which was superb.
Apparently the shnitty needed sauce but chicken was cooked well.

Came down from the northern Gold Coast for a look. Good atmosphere. Well patronised. Went for a mid week lunch - garlic prawns and sausages and mash. One of the best garlic prawns I have had in years. Will definitely be back. Staff are friendly and efficient.

We three had a great lunch. The salad was fresh, the chips were crisp, the meat/fish was extra tasty, the service was friendly and efficient, the wine and beer had a good selection with reasonable prices all round.
What more do you want from the local Tavern.
Definitely on our go back to list.

We just had drinks ? but the venue is very neat and tidy and cute and great little play area. Fantastic service from the staff.

Over the past 5 years we enjoyed lunch here - not any more. Today my steak had a green film on it - supposed to be tasty - not! Medium done was more raw than rare and the chips were reheated. AND all more expensive than before. NEVER AGAIN. Arrived home and threw up!

Something has happened here. Over priced ordinary food slowly served with horrible loud music playing. Used to be ok here but I won't be coming back for a while.

The meals were a little pricey I thought until it turned up wow totally worth it.
The staff were all happy and had great customer service skills and very friendly I wouldn't hesitate to go back again well done guys your a credit to your profession 10 stars

Haven't been to the Tavern for a few years and I won't be back. We had family from Melbourne. The big burgers were terrible, the kids had snitzel and chips and my husband had Seniors snitzel which was the same size as the kids and $$$ I had calamari which was ok, but the salad leaves looked nearly dead. I can't believe a chef could produce such poor food.

What a lovely little tavern. Had lunch and dinner there on separate days over weekend. Food was delicious and staff were so friendly and attentive.

We had dinner there on Tuesday 2nd August. I had the Seniors golden crumbed Whiting , chips and salad instead of my usual salt n pepper squid because the new menu said (" golden crumbed)". Salad was extra.
The fish was obviously frozen, watery and tasteless. The chips were not what we were used to ,nor the salad. Won't be back.😳

Best Steak, Chips and Salad me and the missus have ever had. Her Well Done and my Medium Rumps were cooked to perfection. The wedges were not coated in the popular seasoning and the salad not drenched in dressing used in most places but still tasty and fresh.
Great service, cold beer and fresh orange juice. Deserves the 5 stars. We are not locals but like eating out at Taverns/Pubs for good value meals. This place is a gem.

Due to a large number of patrons coming in for lunch service was slow. Portions of food were favourable. Quality was there as we'll. If in area will go again

Thanks to this beautiful Tavern as they had us for lunch at last minutes. We stopped there to catch up with my family after couple of years because of lockdown. They served us with their wonderful special lunch (big portions) even when the kitchen closing time was passed already.

Went for lunch and was amazed by the quality of food. He had the Steak lunch cooked perfectly. medium rare and charred to perfection. I had the chicken breast with prawns and enjoyed every bit. Top restaurant quality.

I have been dining and frequenting the Pottsville Tavern for over 14 years and I have never had a bad meal there, in all of that time. The food is always good and the service is always excellent too. Visitors I have had from overseas, who I have taken with me to eat at The Pottsville Tavern, have been astounded that the meals were so good for a pub/restaurant and that the price was so reasonable, too.

Friendly helpful service (especially with covid check-in) lovely eating area's indoors and outdoors really great good

Agree with Tom Chapman and Hooked on Brooke we had lunch there today 30 Nov 2020. Good selection of food quick service very friendly staff. Just a pity this place does not have beach front it would be 5 star. We will return.

4.3 out 5 stars? For a kitchen that closes 20 minutes before advertised times and can't even get a double shot at the bar? Een though ordering 2 singles at 25% increased price is fine? RSA must stand for Reaming My Arse instead of Responsible Service of Alcohol. selection is about as good as id expect at a Darwin kids lemonade stall. Staff make you feel genuinely at home, although maybe a dysfunctional household.

It saddens me that resturants and pubs are still using single use plastics. The staff are nice, the food is just generic pub food which is what you want at a country pub like this. But they still put plastic straws in drinks served. If it wasnt for this I would have given 4 stars. Companies need to be doing more to be environmentally friendly.
