It was definitely more than ordinary pub food, good atmosphere and very nice service

I wasn't too hungry so ordered off the kids section and they let me make the order. It said the meal comes with a drink and ice cream. I got the food and the portion was perfect. When I asked for the ice cream, I was told I couldn't have any and the manager was angry that they let me order off the kids section. How is that my fault? Don't really care about the ice cream but disappointed at the customer service.

Had a party here the other weekend and everything was so seamless - the catering was amazing where the pub staff had staggered the food so that food wasn't left cold on Tables. We went there a week to test out the equipment and Nathan was super helpful.

On the night, the pub staff was extremely attentive with our requests and I had received a lot of compliments from guests.

The venue is super cute, with fairy lights all around the balcony. Definitely recommend for parties and events.

Very pleasant to sit on the upstairs balcony with a drink and some lunch. We enjoyed the fish and chips - nothing fancy but did not need to be!

Having tried many of the pubs in Pyrmont, I would have to say the bistro food here has been some of the best I've had. We had the market fish and roasted veg root bowl; both presented and tasted great. Limited vegetarian options (mushroom buger, chilli con carne and this), but I did notice meat free fish and chicken add ons.

Lovely staff!!!! The security were beautiful guys they had to deal with some of the most crappiest situations with drunk people leaving the casino and did it with absolute class. The bar staff were so friendly and welcoming. Music was great too. We will be back

It's been years since I've been here but decided to have a break for lunch whilst out & about with friends around the suburb for a geo game challenge. Friendly service & food was great. My fish & chips ($25) were good, although the fish needed more seasoning. Chips were ??'??the seltzer drink at $13 (seems a bit high which aligns with other reviewers comments about higher drink prices). They we're doing construction inside so opted to dine outside.

We visited on the weekend and loved this pub, a really good outdoor seating area with high chairs for toddlers which is awesome and plenty of pram parking. It's above the lightrail stop so easy transport, we got the roast on a Sunday and it was amazing! Staff were friendly, and service was quick!

decent food quality and nice ambience however service was not attentive and not friendly. overall a very mediocre place.

Can't wait for the refurb to be completed, so we can get back and enjoy this great establishment. The food is great, the atmosphere awesome, the staff super friendly, and the location perfect.
Friends have been telling me that the re opening is close, and we just can't wait.
Other pubs/restaurants in the area are good, but this is our favourite, and now our nights out in Sydney are ready to go to the next level

ZERO STARS! This place has everything back to front: COLD food, WARM beer, HOT tempered staff. The rudest being the manager, a 4 foot tall, insecure little man NATHAN. Take your business elsewhere, every other option in Pyrmont is better and there are lots of options.

The food was fantastic we only had a couple of burgers and some beers. But the staff were great and the food service was so quick. This can be a bit of a worry, but one bite and you were no longer worried. Just in awe of how tasty the food was would recommend popping in for a bite if you are in the area.

Great suprisingly large pub just up from the water, with absolutely brilliant food and a wide selection of rooms and open areas to dine.
LOCATION: Minutes from the light rail or bus stops and just around the corner from Start City Casino. Street parking available.
ACCESSIBILITY: Pram, wheelchair and dog friendly.
FOOD: Really high quality decent serving sizes at very reasonable prices. Everything they served up looked/tastes great, even their humble pie!
STAFF: Definitely not the most attentive or passionate about their jobs. Not terrible, pleasant enough.
OVERALL: Will definitely be back to eat more, can't wait till the renovations upstairs are finished. Great little spaces upstairs, would easily suit events etc.

Menu is always refreshed with a good sample of daily specials, and they've got a great patio and plenty of outdoor seating. My partner loves the pies on rotation, and I really appreciate that they're dog friendly.

A favourite for locals. Reliably good pub food. Great courtyard (John Street Square )for kids to play and scoot. The pub itself needs some renovation and a facelift.

Probably the worst Caesar salad I ever ate in my life. Pretty sure the dressing was supermarket homebrand or something like that. I wouldn't eat here again.

We met here because it was family friendly and our guests had children. The bar has a healthy selection of wines and spirits. The real surprise was the menu. The specials were exquisite and well worth the money.

Good portions of excellent food, with some fancier options than your standard pub. Good selection of beers, with good and varied seating. Not to mention the lovely staff. Would definitely recommend.

First time I have been, great locals pub with good food and service. Wine we had was also good and not expensive. Will go again.

Extraordinarily quiet for a Sunday. Pleasant surroundings, friendly staff and tasty food (apart from the very dry duck bao buns - duck and buns).

Lovely place to catch-up with friends and while away a few hours.

Prices are about right.
