Decor: Upmarket, renovated Pub. Large dining area, carpet on floor, wooden tables, comfortable chairs.
Service: Friendly and welcoming. The wait time was average (20 minutes from ordering to receiving food).
Ambience: Clean, modern and pleasant place to be. Reasonably quiet, easy to carry on a conversation (but it was pretty empty - I suspect it could get noisy when busy)
Menu: Fairly extensive pub menu - burgers, schnitzel, steaks, seafood, pasta etc (plus nachos ?). Plus daily specials.
Food: A little inconsistent. We had the Steak and the Beef Ribs. The steak was excellent - beautifully cooked and moist. The salad was fresh with a tasty dressing, but the mash was dry and and uninviting. The Ribs were tasty, but dry and overcooked, with the sauce dried on to them - desperately needing some extra sauce. The people next to us had the nachos which they said were great, and the Filet Mignon special which they indicated was a little dry but tasty, but the chips were superb.
Prices: Very, very reasonable, and the servings were huge.
We'll probably give here another go next time we are in Coffs.
