Today I dined here for an outing with my parents and sister. Firstly, the staff greeted us and we're so polite in telling us it was about 40 mins before opening for food. The man behind the bar was just so professional and just nice. The food we had for lunch came out not too long after ordering. The food (prawn and mango bruschetta, seared scallops, prawn and prosciutto linguine, seafood platter cold and Angus burger) was just mouth watering, refreshing and so full of flavour. This is one of the best places I have been to. We are definitely coming back, very soon. Thank you for having such a wonderful venue, that view is spectacular, the ambience it's just relaxing, and as stated, your staff just made the whole experience.

I have been going for a few years on my birthday and let me say this year was the best food ever !
I don't know if they changed owners or changed the chef but my gosh delectable!
The staff were also very lovely going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we need.
Also my mum likes a glass of milk with her meal and she didn't want to ask but when the gentleman came to clean our table he was more then happy to get her one ? outstanding service.

Had lunch. The service was great, the ambience was very good but it was a hot day and we had to sit outside. There was a breeze blowing so it was tolerable. I ordered a hamburger and struggled to get through it. Not because it was too big but because it was quite dry and tasteless. Apparently the burger I ordered didn't have salad on it. I won't order a burger again. My friend's burger had salad but she didn't enjoy it either.

Food is spot on. We are working our way through the menu. We don't eat out much because we are great home cooks but we went there twice in one week. Another good sign is that the staff seem very happy too.
I stayed in the accommodation a few years ago. It was excellent. Pity I'm local. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

Great local drop in for lunch on our spectacular Lake Macquarie. Always a good feed. Spent many birthdays here. Need I say more about the view, unbeatable. Staff are super nice and helpful. Clean loos, comfortable seating in various locations. Coffee is good too!

We had a table for 5 last year we ordered 2 dozen oysters as an entree as well as 5 assorted meals. We specifically asked for the entree to be brought out first. After quite a while waiting everything came out at once. I commented that I specifically asked for the oysters to be an entree so the staff member sent the manager to see us. I explained that we asked for the entree to be served before the main meals her reply was " No problem ". The manager then took the oysters from the table and offered them to the staff members behind the bar in front of us. I'm not sure if that's their standard practice however it left a memorable impression on our table.

We have stayed at Pippi's on 2 separate occasions in the last year. Its in a lovely spot and the food and drink downstairs are great, there was some live music on one of the nights we stayed- nice ambience.

The service at Pippi's went above and beyond for me when I left something in the room. Living hours away, they arranged postage for my lost belonging back to me. Not all accommodations would have bothered. Thank you. :)

Great location with Lake views. Parking is an issue as there is only a handful of spaces at the rear, with bus stop at the side and further up its mostly 1 hr zone.
Service was good, we enjoyed our meal. Quite noisy as the restaurant was booked out.
Will go again.

Haven't eaten yet, though our rooms for the price are really nice!! Seems newly renovated.. very clean bathroom and nice shower.. balcony's are nice.. carpets and interiors are great!! Highly recommend staying here. Location is great.

While the rooms have been upgraded and are lovely. I do suggest management stay a night or two, to see where some slight improvements could be made. The disappointing aspect while I understand that I am in a pub type atmosphere, the party that occurred from 12.10-2.45am was a bit much. So if you are a light sleeper, fine somewhere else.

Lovely venue and location for a hotel by the lake. Food was over priced. Small seafood portions. Other people's meals looked good and were decent portion sizes. The one Balmain bug on my seafood plate was dry, and the salad was just a lot of mixed lettuce leaf with dressing. It's so noisy you can't chat with immediate company. Disappointed.

Service was great, chips and drink were great, but man they couldn't do a steak well. I ordered the 250g sirloin medium-rare, and it came practically blue, so I told the servers, and they were excellent and apologetic, and I got a another steak fairly quickly, but now it was well done! I just ate it, because it had been an hour since I originally ordered, but surely it can't be this hard to cook a steak properly. The servers were lovely though and very kind.

Food was amazing , delicious and good portion .

Called in for a casual lunch, jagged a seat out on the verandah looking at the water on a clear, sunny autumn day.

Went for a birthday celebration dinner and everything was great.
The food was served quickly even though we had 11 people at our table, and everything was delicious. The service was outstanding.

I had the cold seafood plate, very good and well priced. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. My only complaint is its very loud but would go again

Still waiting for the other 200gm of T bone to arrive and instructions on how to cook medium steaks as rare.

Staff were flat chat so no time for them to ask how meals are.

Smokers/vapers on deck were the icing on the cake.

I mean. Its a pub. I was deso for a work party. I left for social reasons. The staff were nice enough. The fact that alcohol free beer tastes dissapointing has nothing to do with the service. I got the Tuscan salad. Whole intact cloves of garlic were a bold choice to throw into a salad, but I like garlic, and i was grateful for the smash of flavour that living healthy seems to steal away for the most part. We had pretty well finished our meals before we got the 2 bowls of chips. I went to the counter to ask about them, but it was a busy night, and I could see that they had been pumped for dinner service. The young waitress who brought our chips back had been on polishing duty, which I know can take ages for how many they'd served tonight. That was me? I would have been fighting the urge to chuck the chips at the table. anyway, only thing that was the pancetta, 2 big ol' wheel slices of tomato. On toast. It was awkward to eat, but otherwise, my friend liked it. But she also really likes tomato. They have a pool table there, but people who had worked much harder than I did today (rdo) were in the middle of a game. Soooo, yeah. It's a pub.

Not thrilled at the quality of the service here. I ordered at 6:33pm a dessert, and had to wait a bit over 15 minutes for staff to walk the 5 metres over to me with the dessert. Particularly when there were several points over that period where the staff were idle, and could have brought it out. I do expect better.

Stayed 1 night; room didn't look much like the advertised one so guess it was yet to be renovated/refreshed (the story of my life). Bed was comfy and well made, BUT room was missing a few little things that would've made the world of difference: a second chair (one of us had to sit on the bed); bath/shower mat, hand towel and washer; tea towel; etc. Blind didn't cover the whole window, so a good thing that neither of us are pitch-black sleepers.
Ate downstairs and the food was great and very reasonably priced. Breakfast options are limited though as the restaurant doesn't appear to be open then. No room service, but that's not something we miss ?
Overall, fine for a single night but probably not much more.

Where do I start....

The food was disgusting. Barely edible.We had to go back to the bar a few times to get clean glasses and the bar staff said "yeh it happens all the time the glasses are never clean.." that's reassuring. When I say they were dirty I'm not saying a bit of a smudge here and there, some of them still had food on them. The only staff member that was polite to us was the tall bloke taking the food orders.

Now the best part...

If you are going there for a birthday get together and you have a cake you have to pay $1 per plate to rent if you want to have it there. I'm not joking. It's not the amount you pay it's just absolutely ridiculous to have to pay to use a plate for a birthday cake when our party had just spent hundreds of dollars on meals and drinks. So for your money do they put the candles in the cake for you?... no. Do they present the cake like most places do with the candles lit and ready to sing happy birthday?... no. They just stick it in front of you in the bag and say there ya go. They justify the "surcharge" by saying that they give you whipped cream... it's in a bowl that's supplied along with a dirty knife we had to clean before we could use it. Why are you guys charging for us to use a plate but you won't give us plates for our entrees?

The bed creaked if you breathed, there were no bathroom floor mats provided, so when the Kmart shower curtain moved out of the shower recess it wet the floor. No hand towels, just 2 bath towels to do everything.. there was an incessant hum early hours of the morning that seemed to go on forever(we don't know what it was) the graffiti tags on the bathroom shelf bracket were a classy touch! The roof falling in on one section and the massive cracks in the walls are concerning.
Room was clean, extra blankets, pillows are provided, the view to the lake was lovely and gave us something to look at cause we couldn't sleep ????'?

Went here for my Nan's birthday. Waited well in excess of an hour for food only for them to tell us it had not gone through properly. Not the first time we have waited over an hour for food here. When our food did come, the chicken burger was luke warm at best. As we were leaving, they said that the technical issue of the order not going through happens there sometimes, fix it before it costs you more customers because we won't be returning!

Fantastic view and very good food. Our experience was elevated by particularly attentive staff.

The only major downside is the interior design inside is quite soulless and sterile.

My wife, daughter and I went to Pippi's last Tuesday for lunch. The first thing I want to mention is there should be 6 stars for service! The food was delicious, staff were friendly and went out of their way to provide the best possible service. I felt like I was at a 5 star resort! The bar man was a great bloke. He made us feel welcome, and was hardworking and extremely helpful!!! I recommend this venue to anyone who wants to really enjoy their meal!

Staff were incredibly rude especially the woman in charge behind the bar . Misheard my wine order and then charged me $120 dollars for the one they opened ( without showing me) instead of 40 dollar bottle. When i queried it was told by very snappy bar manager " i heard you say it twice". No apology nothing. I was not going to have a public fight so had to pay it. Verve does sound like Grand Berge but not my fault he misheard and then did not check it was correct before opening it. Not happy and wont be back.

Had our seafood dinner here which was so delicious. It's our first visit from Sydney on Easter day.
We were sitting outside and we saw the beautiful sunset which was such a spectacular view.
We then played pool inside and that was really fun.

Took a trip here for lunch. Be sure to call ahead and book a table if you want a view of the water as we forgot to do this and you end up sitting in the TAB area if all the water view tables are reserved. Food was delicious and the seafood was perfectly cooked. Will definitely be back.

Absolutely loved dining here. From the gorgeous young girl who greeted us today , to wait staff who made us feel so welcome, then the delicious meal topped our lunch time dining experience= A1 all-round.

Visited Pippi's for lunch and found the food quality and value above average. Steak cooked as requested in good time.
Would've scored a five but the experience was let down by bar staff who don't know their glass sizes when a particular size was requested.

I dont normally post reviews on food places but I felt like I needed acknowledge how amazing this place was. The location is amazing, the food was delicious and the staff were so pleasant. The best feed Ive had in years. If you guys ever want another place to open a venue, please do it in Canberra! Amazing.

I love this pub. Fantastic staff. Excellent menu. Great selection of wine. Fabulous views. Do yourself a favour and put a visit on your bucket list. You won't regret it.

Went for lunch. I ordered a Caesar salad and my partner order Chicken Snitzel. The chips were amazing. My salad came out it was the wrong order. They wanted to rectify but my zesty salad was so tasty I was happy to keep enjoying it.

Good food. Nice place to sit looking out to the lake.
