I appreciate this establishment for its vibrant local atmosphere. The food is satisfactory, the prices are reasonable, and the daytime view is impressive. However, I have visited twice this week and both times I felt overlooked. On one occasion, a gentleman failed to notice me waiting at the keno terminal, and on another, a staff member, whom I was standing behind while she organized the fridge, chose to serve others at the opposite end of the bar before passing by me to attend to a gentleman who claimed I was there before him in. This has contributed to my sense of invisibility. I intend to return, but I kindly request that staff members take a moment to observe the bar more frequently.

6 disgusting meals, took an hour then wrong sauce on plate they had dropped the garlic prawns on floor no vegetables left so got lumpy mashed potato. Thai Beef Salad had about 8 lettuce & baby spinach leaves 4 thin pieces capsicum & 8 tough thin pieces steak which was cold... that's it definitely not worth $21... very poor cook needs sacking & definitely will not go back.

The food was average, basic cooking skills need work, battered fish came out very oily and soggy. Kids chicken nuggets had very little taste and the salad had no dressing. The venue needs a revamp, the games room was probably the best room in the venue. A bonus, plenty of parking tho

Worst pub meal of my life (and we've had a few).
Honestly surprised we all didn't fall ill. Served off prawns and calamari, tasted like we were biting into a dumpster. Completely inedible and absolutely disgusting. Such a disappointment. Staff were nice, but unfortunately we will never ever return.
The Strand in Yeppoon were however outstanding. 10000% recommend a visit there instead.

Great beer, shocking food.

We ordered lunch here and the prawns were so over cooked, one was clearly off. Smelt horrendous!

Fish and chips completely over cooked.Chicken burger a serious joke and seasoned veggies boiled beyond belief. To top it off the calamari is the frozen model served still cold inside.

Surprised this place is still open tbh.

We had a great meal here good price and plenty food.

Cracker of a pub , Publican and staff certainly know hospitality , locals friendly and welcoming , can't wait until we visit again , the rooms that adjoin the pub are clean with good facilities and a great view

More salt on my steak than steak and a chicken burger that looked like leftovers.

Great service, plenty of room, Best Salt n Pepper calamari and salad I've had in a long time. Good menu as well.

We used to frequent the Piney every Friday night with the old owners but stopped due to the raw chicken Levis.
We thought we would give the new Piney a try however my Thai beef salad was chewy thank goodness I don't have false teeth & some of
the salad was
decomposing. You need to do better

My lunch time crumbed steak was ok, our friends left most of their food on their plate. The staff were lovely, I think the whole place needs a good overhaul, especially the toilets.

So my Parents were visiting from NZ, we had a table booked for 10. We needed a high chair for a toddler and accommodated for ,our meals were brought out in a timely manner. All 10 of us truly could not fault our meals and the waiting staff were right on point. Highly recommend. Good Aussie pub.

Sorry I don't take photos of food. As someone who cooks for a living I don't like to go out but....today my friend and I went on down to the Pine Beach Hotel and had an amazing food experience. My friends steak was cooked to his expectations the calamari topper was melt in your mouth ... so good!!!! I had the stuffed chicken breast with a prawn topper. While at first I was struggling why lol do not start eating it from the bottom start from the top that's where all the goodness is people!!! By the time you hit the bottom you're either super full or you simply don't care. I honestly recommend this little beach front gem to everyone staff were amazing even under the pump. Food on point. I wish I could give 20 stars haven't been at that pub in over 20 years keep up the great work amazing 😍

Awesome little seaside pub, view could be utilized better and needs a good update but has lots of character, food is typical of pub style meals,,, does the trick when your hungry. Staff are great easy to get along with.

Went to the piney for a meal for the sons 18th on Friday 23rd and I would have to say would be the worst dining experience I have had in awhile, my children never say no to pizza but got the kids pizza meal which turned out to be garlic bread with pizza toppings an was cold when brought to the table needless to say first time my kids have said no to pizza, the adult meals where just as bad, my chicken snitzel was that hard and over cooked I had to pull the chicken out of the middle just to get a feed, the stuffed chicken breast my son got smelt off and was dry, the burger my parter got was average and lacking in flavour and the lemon pepper calamari my daughter got was over powered with lemon.. not a great experience had at all..

Stopped here for a lovely lunch, with relatives from Brisbane, we'd eaten there many times before, but a first for them.

The staff last night 22/11/22 was rude. We were asking for a spoon when we had our food and she was not happy to help. Then she came back and threw the spoon to our table. Literally threw the spoon! That was not a pleasant experience at all. She has a short hair and glasses on. Food and other staff were nice but that staff destroyed our happy mood. She should be reprimanded. Not good for the business

Had a family lunch at the Piney today and unfortunately the food was ordinary. 2 of us had crumbed fish, chips & salad the fish was disgusting. 2 of our group had steak, chips and salad, both steaks were over cooked. The rest of the food was just ok and we won't be going back any time soon.

Terrible service forgetting to serve a meal because it had run out. Fish tacos were barely edible. Will not be going back or recommending to anyone

Mushrooms stuffed with camembert with green leaf salad & shaved parmesan only just ok. Deep fried so a bit greasy & looked the size of an entree not a main course dish for $16 - touch expensive for "pub food".

Nice food. Staff were quite morbid though to be honest. Didn't get a good feeling being in there, brought the mood down

Loved this place. Right on the beach. The dining room was typical pub style. The menu was interesting, croc ribs to mushroom balls. The mackerel was the best! Staff were so friendly and warm. Would definitely go again next time we want a pub feed.

Great customer service. Food fine as we didn't request much for me to review. Seats in lounge could be reupholstered as had to move one which had 2 large rips. Great views.

First time here and very happy with the meals my ride and I were served. Once again another pub which couldn't do enough to cater to meet wife's dietary needs kudos to the chef for working with my wife and cooking her up a meal she could enjoy and thank you to the staff for running between the chef and my wife relaying questions and answers. 🙂

The foods was excellent and the large rump I ordered was large, tender and cooked exactly how we asked.

Staff are always friendly an helpfull its a pub thats sell consistantly good pub food an dosent mask it up to be restuaurant food like other pubs in the area do ,theres a park across the road for the kids to play an a nice view of the ocean for adults to sit a relax afterwards

Good local pub. Young staff not very accommodating with regard to requested tables. Food better than average.

Great little pub. Large selection of Yummy bistro meals. Bistro gets busy on a Sunday at lunchtime. Good raffles on a Sunday. Friendly staff. TAB on sites. Great location and views of the ocean. Highly recommend

The meal was very average. The calamari was like eating glue and the barramundi was coated in the same glue. The staff were very good however and very attentive even though they were busy.

The mains came out before the entrees. My haloumi meal was cold and dry, hubby's Thai beef salad had too much dressing. Wait staff were polite and pleasant.

My husband and two sons ate here on Thursday and Friday.One of my sons is non verbal autistic and a very fussy eater.My husband ask if they could make him an omelette, even though it was not on the menu.The waiting staff, ask the chef and they did this for him.My son ate every part, he loved it so much we had to return the next day. The food was excellent!!.The waiting staff were fantastic too, especially the young dark hair curly hair girl( sorry did not get your name) so helpful and friendly and always smiling.What a lovely establishment and thank you so much for catering to our son.
