Food, BEER, Service and Atmosphere are always on point. $13.50 for the Palace house Beer jug is perfect for guys who want to drink a bit more! Also the food is recommendable! Give it a try and experience yourself.

Went to this pub with friends yesterday for pre dinner drinks. Two of us ordered drinks that were nearly full of ice and hardly any spirit in them. The young guy barman was approached about this and just shrugged his shoulders and couldn't care less. When your paying big money for these drinks you should be expected to get a decent drink and not basically a glass of ice for your money. Left the pub and never to return.
Be aware people.

$13.50 for a palace jug.. great price cannot complain. Nice to sit outside on a sunny day. Never ate but the food portions look big. Have some boards with funny messages on and a quiz on the back of the menu. Great place for an after-work beer

A relaxing experience with an old-time feel. I totally loved the environment with its pressed metal ceilings and generally Art Deco decorations. Got myself a cider, garlic bread and potato wedges and just chilled. Perfect if waiting to see a play at the nearby Capitol Theatre.

Nice selection of beers, wines and spirits and a very nice vibe here. Definitely the place to unwind after work and meet friends for a sundowner.

Easily the best pub in Sydney. Cheap jugs of beer, good range of options and fantastic customer service. The musicians they select are phenomenal. Classic Aussie music and great singing. Had an issue with someone taking my beer while I was at the toilets and they gave me a fresh jug no questions asked. Great bouncers. And because it's on the intersection of three light rail lines there is no car fumes. Perfect

Good meal for out of town visitors before the theatre. Definitely a bit run down, back bar closed. Tasty meal tho.

Great place for after work drinks or dinner before the theatre. Quick service and absolutely bang for your buck- meals are fantastic.

We order ramp steak, well done and gravel sauce next to the meat.. but got: bloody meat covered in sauce

I'm so sorry to say this, I don't like to be negative.... But I had the worst chicken snitzel ever. I was on my way to a show at the Capital Theatre and I didn't have time to mention it.

The rump steak with chips and salad was perfect,I cut it with a butter knife, will definitely come back.I gave this place 1? 3yrs ago.

The staff is great, prices correct and the location very handy to meet.

Really need to put some effort into training your front door staff. He bordered on rude when I was standing waiting for friends, hadnt ever entered and was being bombarded about covid sign-in! Yes, I get it, I was waiting for friends before I did it. Then he gave them a hard time when they turned up. Finally get in and no bar staff to sure, so had to go and get Mr Covid to get some service, and promptly told the kitchen isnt opening tonight. So, had one drink and left. That was a fizzer!

Rude staff who seem to enjoy antagonizing potential patrons. We showed up after a dinner and were interested in grabbing a quick drink, only to be jokingly told "we're full" to an almost completely empty venue. After they were done hassling us we were allowed in, and I saw similar behaviour to other patrons.To the owners I'd recommend some work on staff customer service skills. It seems bizarre to me to unnecessarily push customers away after I'm sure you need the business post covid.

Always friendly, cheap good food & great to watch the All Blacks.

Staff on the door and waiting table were rude and sarcastic. They did not make us feel welcome at all and had a very condescending tone. Seriously doubt we will ever return after that. They need some basic customer service skills!
