This is great place, good food and friendly staff. Well worth a visit

Great food. Good atmosphere

Once was a lovely eatery 6 or so months ago you wouldn't have found anywhere to sit at 6:30 on a Saturday night should of been the first red flag when we walked in and was nearly empty. Ordered beef cheek with mash and veg and hubby ordered the bangers and mash as soon as I saw it I knew it had been microwaved still starving I tried it and omg probably dare to say it the worst thing I have ever eaten tasted like there was washing detergent in it gave some to hubby just to see his reaction and at least got a good laugh out of it there was absolutely no way I could eat it. Hubby's bangers and mash were not great either super rubbery. I have NEVER taken food back in my life but for the first time handed it back still trying to be polite I hate a scene the chef was sooooooo rude told me bad luck it is what it is throwing his hands around aggressively the manager was called over by now Im beyond embarrassed and just asked for my money back the manger did offer me another meal but with the chef carrying on still I advise I would just like a refund manager stated basically he stands by the food refusing me refund. I walked over to the table to get my bag and encountered another few locals not to impressed with there meals either.
Went to the chicken shop across the road and got a lovely salad.
Needless to say NEVER again

Great tasting meals but sizes have definitely gotten smaller with change of management and chef.

Nice pub. Great kids play area. It was a busy Sunday but we didn't order food as it was an hour and a half wait for basic pub grub.

Nice food, great service! This place also have play ground which kids love it!

The drive to this place is picturesque. Food was fantastic. We had the steaks and sides meal, flavours were great and worth every bite. Definitely worth it! Staff were efficient and social ??'???

Like it good old fashioned country pub . Only called in for a beer while on a ride but will make time to stop for a feed next time

Pretty decent local hey!

Been here a few times. Best menu item is for sure the Mexicana Parmi ($25 but it's worth it because it's loaded up with mince and sour cream). WEIRD thing is though that THEY DONT PUT ANY JALEPE?'OS ON IT!? Genuinely considered bringing my own a few times because it's really crying out for it. Chilli Chicken Burger is pretty decent too.

Some good live music on a Saturday too and Big Bands once a month which has piqued my curiosity.

Went for a function that was catered for by the hotel, the food was pretty sub par and there wasn't a generous amount on offer. We ended up buying meals from the bistro because we were hungry and they were average at best as far as pub food goes. Not a great atmosphere,probably wouldn't visit again.

Had a really good steak, cooked perfectly and very tender. Only 1 option GF, which was hard to establish as lady taking orders wouldn't offer up any information until pressed. Maybe she didn't know, but it's not hard to ask the chef

The accommodation here is very well appointed and offers great value. Good meals well prepared in the Bistro. Cold beer. Ticks all the boxes

Went here for lunch a couple weeks ago on the spyders,only 20ks from home,found the oaks hotel friendly and has a good menu,went on Monday so no lunch special but special on the rest of the week.Will be visiting there again.

Very nice country pub with outdoor area, the food is OK, but the real downside of this pub is that they took out their fireplace. I think its essential for any country pub to have a fireplace. The bistro, eating area is just one big square room. There really is no feel in there

Have been a local at the oaks for over 5 years

Ordered take away the chicken schnitzel burger was very average the chips with bacon and cheese was not good at all.

Since the old chef Sharna has left the pubs food has dropped its quality

The current owners have done extensive renovations but failed to understand its a country pub and have failed since the ownership the food is terrible over priced and under rated

The oaks is not Paddington or the inner west they need to realise this and deliver on good valued country pub meals

Maybe they should look at the vacy pub outside of Maitland for a good look at country food quality and value

This pub has been a let down since the old owners sold out.

A nice ride out on our motorcycles from Penrith for a beer or three and a bloody good chicken schnitzel meal as well ..... will definitely stop by again!

Food was great. Went Wednesday night which is schnitty night. 5 different types to choose from. Great atmosphere. Only down was the smell of stale cigarettes that kept us out of the main bar and occasionally wafted into the eating area. Still worth stopping in for a meal!

They didn't empty the bin in room number 3, no tissues in the toilet, the entrance from the car park was so dirty all the way up the stairs. Worst experience there, no TV remote control as well and the loud live band ruined my sleep.

Motorcycle friendly. Great cold liquids and plenty of parking. Great Pub Food.

A great country pub. I have ridden past it so many times, but since coming here with my Ulysses mates have dropped in again. Parking for bikes is off road and safe, decent good value meals.

Great food friendly staff too.

Little ones loved it and the food was reasonable. Service was great though.
