Such a great pub. Very good service, huge meals and a great place to relax and eat. Highly recommend

Had a shocking experience. Took over an hour to get food. Cutlets and fish were burnt, roast was warm and salad was forgotten. Manager was nice, apologised but Chef didn't give a damn. Disappointing as usually pretty good there.

We visited this established on tuesday night, after coming to Albury to see family. My mother inlaw ran the pub 65yrs ago. We were keen to see the refurbished establishment.
They have done a great job in refurbishing unfortunately the service was terrible.
The man behind the main bar was very friendly and welcoming, not so the dining room. We order our meals which came out promptly and were huge!! Unfortunately the side of bernaise was freezing cold. When we took this back to the very tall young man on shift, he took it straight off me and went in the kitchen. He then came back out empty handed and when I asked was he heating the sauce up? He replied "oh I didn't realise you wanted it heated up"? I then sat back down awaiting the sauce.
He avoided all eye contact and we did not see any sauce or him for any further service.
The lady working with him was running around clearing tables, serving and basically covering his shift. I hope this is a one off as could be a really great place to dine.

We had our Sons 18th Birthday here last Saturday night.
From the first call in booking the room to leaving your venue we want to say how accommodating and helpful your staff were nothing was any trouble.
The meals were delicious and considering how many people were in the venue including the 50 guests we had they came out in good time.
I would just like to make a special mention to Coralie in your kitchen who went above and beyond to help us out with a disastrous cake we had bought to our party from (another store I won't mention). Coralie and staff could see how upset I was when dropping the cake off. She offered to re do our sons cake in a very short period of time and it was just amazing. No thanks will be enough for what she did. All our guests commented on how good it was. Coralie went above and beyond to make his night perfect. Thanks again.

Great place for families, food and a drink. Held a wake for my father yesterday afternoon out on The Deck and the staff, food and service were perfect. Thank you Newmarket.

I haven't been here since I was a kid, but tonight I was attending a function here. The food was SO well priced and absolutely delicious, the staff were polite, helpful, and efficient, and with over 20 people in our party, I didn't hear a single complaint about anything. Servings are generous and it is honestly one of the best meals out I've had in aaaages. I will be bringing my family back here as a regular from now on! Absolutely loved it ??

We sat in their outdoor area and absolutely roasted. There's fans down the centre but then the tables outside that area are sectioned off from any air whatsoever by clear plastic curtains so it was unbearable. Food was alright. We go here fairly regularly, but won't sit outside again!

I'm not sure what happened today because the last time we visited the food was so nice. But today the service and the food was just terrible.
Chips tasteless
Fish was cooked awfully.
The wrap I had was dry and the wrap bread was stale.

Most likely won't return.

7 meals all from the $15 lunch menu;
all amazing and large. The roast of the day had 6 veg, all perfectly cooked.
Wonderful outdoor under cover areas.

We were pretty disappointed, really. Everything seemed dirty, and surfaces were sticky. Tables were not cleaned between diners - we observed tables being swiped over with used serviettes before being reset. Chips spilled on the floor were left for 15 minutes until a diner picked them up. Staff just walked over them. The food was ok, except too much cheese and topping for me on the pizza (supreme). And we felt really sorry for a large party sitting 4 or 5 feet from, and facing, a huge over-bright screen on the wall. Never again will we go there.

Awesome service and great feed!!! The meal sizes are huge and this place is very reasonably priced!

It is so good that a traditional country pub still exists!

Ordered the chicken Kiev it was as dry as wooden god tried my best but couldn't continue with it, took it back but because I had eaten less then half they would only offer me a $15 voucher after waiting 30 minutes thinking I was getting a new one like the bar staff said I would. I won't be going there again we were regulars but I guess we will find somewhere else now.

Absolute loved this place.
Well portioned entrees at a good price. Had the onion rings and tomato relish for $10. Enough for two people to share.
The Big Jon Burger was great. awesome patty and good burger sauce.
The seafood basket could've been cooked a bit better.

One more person on the bar could've helped, service was still great.
Canadian Club and Dry on tap was refreshing. The heaters made short work of the chill and we were very comfortable.

I'd definitely go back. For the money spent we had a good night out.

I took my mum here for her Birthday lunch. Neither of us had been here before.
Staff service was amazing, and they were quite helpful in catering to my mum's mobility. Food was reasonably priced and decently sized, I struggled to finish mine.

Was quite pleased. 10/10 would go there again.

Entrance not very well signed and was quite dark, trying to navigate with a pram nearly impossible. Car park poorly lit, insignificant signage. Saw a poor woman reverse into a bollard trying to figure out where up go. Ordered a soda lime and bitters, co2 was playing up and unable to be fixed while I was there.. Flat, disgusting. Ordered the pork belly. Not salted like my table mates, half of the crackle was soggy AF. The whole meal was covered in this god awful sauce of some description, was inedible. Poorly executed. Do not recommend

Just had lunch here was greeted with menus thrown on the table by a young girl with dark hair orders round of drinks and ordered our meals service was good but when the first 3 meals came out they were stone cold sent back my meal was redwine shanks when my meal came back out it was hotter but had roast meat gravy placed all over the shank which was revolting I complain after eating what we could was offered a voucher or a money refund by the waitress then the waitress returns to the table to say none of these options can be given to us what a complete joke. To me it wasn't about the refund it was letting them no the poor quality of food and experience. There is no way on earth I would ever dine back here again .for over $100 dollars spent on meals you would expect better .

This was the worst pub I've been to. The service was extremely slow with the food taking 2 hours to come out. It was certainly not worth the money or the wait. The garlic bread entree was burnt. The mains were inedible. The pizza was burnt and soggy. The carbonara was swimming in sauce, the chicken parmigiana was over cooked and tasted much like a frozen schnitzel. Spaghetti bolognaise had no mince in it and reminded me of tinned spaghetti. We all left
our meals barely touched.

Very disappointing experience. We will not be back.

Very nice meal. Great if you are eating there but if you order a takeaway meal make sure you check it before you leave because there always seems to be a problem with whoever takes the order, writing it down correctly so the kitchen staff can prepare what you actually ordered. Always check your order before you leave.

Front of house staff need training. Too surly. Food was great and is amazing value.

Went there with my partner (locals). Ordered porterhouse (medium done). Came out still mooing. Luckily I can meet rare though that was not the point.
My partner ordered pumpkin ravioli with probably 2 pieces of pumpkin in it . May or may not consider going back . Have enjoyed previous dining experience but tonight put a bad taste in my mouth. I wish chefs would know how to cook steak and patrons request .

Atmosphere very pleasant, serves almost too large - make sure you're hungry. Prices very reasonable, I'd go so far to say cheap. Staff pleasant, they also do takeaway.

Food was outstanding, fast and friendly service and was so clean. Will definitely be back to try everything on the menu

Wonderful and accomodating staff and quick service at the bar. However, the meals took ages to arrive and were just okay. Huge portions of so-so food. The gravy was lumpy and wobbly at the same time, the steak was really tough and the token salad was kidding itself. The chips were nice though-crisp and golden.

If it gets any better I'm moving in .great food pleasant staff and good service .

The service was slow the food was disgusting and not well cooked. My friend had her steak served rare and instead of cooking her another steak they cooked the sane piece to well done. The whole experience was so terrible I nor my friends will ever go back. ???????

Menu says Gluten Free options but they don't actually have any. Will take your payment at the counter and serve you an almost empty plate. I ordered the gluten free fish and chips, fish came out seared and without chips... didn't offer me a refund or different meal choice.

Huge meals at a great price and plenty of pub style meal choices! A kids size pasta ($10) would feed an adult. Friendly staff and quick service.

The best ribs I have ever tasted and the head chef Jon is an all round top bloke, so much so that the big Jon is named after this amazing man. Amazing atmosphere and beautiful onion rings. Recommended that the entire family comes to check out the Newie

The size and quality of the meals have to be seen to believe. Also will do doggy bag if you can't eat both lamb shanks.

Great traditional pub, Great food, plenty of beers to choose from, and the largest Lcd screen you will ever see to view sport.

1st class place to go for lunch or dinner. Had their special snitzel, of which you have a great selection and it was massive & delicious. Has the bar, tab, keno, ponies, smokers facility, plenty of TV coverage. Go there & experience the good food & smiling staff. Definitely the place to go & be in Albury by far.

Hands down the best parmi in Albury Wodonga. The Aussie parmi was amazing. The schnitzel was crispy on the outside & juicy on the inside, the chips were incredibly crispy & well seasoned and the side order of veg was delicious. Best of all, the parmi was massive!! 10/10
