It was very quiet when we stopped in for dinner. Only a handful of patrons but that was what we were looking for, quiet so we could hear each other. Staff were still training so could buy the cocktail 'special' but beers on offer weren't bad. Food came quickly and was delicious. I can recommend the fish tacos??'?

Tried the Sunday Roast here today. Roast Beef (Brisket) was very tasty and something different. The roast vegetable and steamed veggies were well cooked as well. I rated it 8.5/10 losing points for the dense Yorkshire Pudding which would have been better left off the plate
$31.00 with a glass of house Shiraz was great value.

We stayed here the night before going on a cruise from White Bay Terminal.
The staff were just so friendly and helpful! Nice and close to the cruise terminal. We went down and had yummy pizza for dinner.
Only downside was doors slamming quite late and then quite early, then the cleaning lady rushing is to leave as check out is apparently 9.30am not 10am.

We had our Christmas party there. The team was able to accommodate us at very short notice and they couldn't have been nicer.

Also the seafood pizza is fantastic.

A great local pub, with great food, a good selection of beers on tap. Every time ive been there ive met new locals, had a good yarn, an ice cold beer and a game of pool. Cant ask for more. Winning the weekly Trivia prize helps!

Music fantastic, food not good. Asked for a medium steak and 50 minutes later a very over cooked one was served. Very disappointed

Went to see band Dr Gumbo, fantastic. The pub could do better with their bookings though. I booked online but they didn't have my booking when we arrived. There was no advertised entry charge, but there was actually a $10 entry. I had a mixed drink and the mixer was almost flat, no bubbles. I asked if there was a credit card fee and the person I asked said she didn't think so - wrong. I ordered food and put my table number on the table and 15 mins later was asked if we had eaten yet.10 mins later we were chasing up our Middle Eastern share plate.
By half way through the evening it was cold and the audience were putting on their coats.
The music was so good we will return and hope next time the overall venue experience will be better.

The staff are really friendly and they al know me and the prices of there beer is cheap as well

Reopened about a year ago with new owners and they are doing an excellent jobs lifting the place. Great live music, family friendly and good beer selection. Keep up the good work

Delightful afternoon spent in this recently renovated pub- good location not far from Balmain and the Anzac Bridge, with free parking in the church grounds next door. Very clean and they stick to Covid procedures. Great pool table with red felt ! Free live music on Sunday. Now onto the food and grog- we had a lovely roast dinner, perhaps it was because it is Christmas time, I loved it- crackling was superb. Good wine selection. Younger kids has fish and chips and we also had a pizza and chicken wings. Very helpful and friendly bar and floor staff. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

New owners there, had a guy playing Shane Flew, we were the only 2 people listening to him. New owners had a group there for lunch otherwise would only have been the 2 of us listening to him play. White wine I was given was off, been sitting in the bottle for awhile.

The girl serving was most helpful and gave me another one and even the colour difference was amazing. Food was average. Fish wasn't that hot and chips were cool. I think our meals had been sitting there a bit before someone brought them out to us. I think they have a few teething issues which I am sure they will sort out. Nice venue but not a lot of atmosphere. I don't think I would rush back there.

Fabulous little big pub. In a great location. I went to see a band called " the Soul Messengers" one Sunday evening in December . They were fantastic and attracted a great crowd. And also had a dinner which consisted of spicey Chicken ribs. Which really fired up my taste buds. Its an open kitchen , so you can watch you meal being cooked. Also have good beers and wines. And a nifty smoking area which overlooks the park next door. This little big place is well worth a visit .

Good selection of craft beers. I would recommend the tasting paddle for $14. They have partnered with Burger Hounds so it goes without saying that the burgers are fantastic. The high tea is great value for money at $35 per person. You get a LOT of food

Burgers by Josh has found a new home here at the Native Rose. Everything was delicious. This pub has all independently owned beer taps with some fantastic local beers. Highly recommend the amber ale!

Enjoying the live music and atmosphere down the local. Food is good, craft beers good band. What is life all about? ????'?
