We phoned the Murrumbateman Country Inn to order a takeaway pizza for dinner. When we called we spoke to one of the most bubbly, happy and polite staff members I have ever spoken to over the phone. We didn't get her name unfortunately, even when we picked up the pizza she was very welcoming and had a great attitude which is very rare these days. Thank you and we will be back!

I'm away two or three days a week & try to stay in Country locations where possible. Murrumbateman Country Inn is by far the Best I've stayed in - EVER. Rooms are modern, I'd say, Designer if asked, sleek & stylish, spotless, well equipped all facilities are better than most of us have at home ?. The Restaurant is wonderful, great food & wide range. The bloke I sat next to told me he stays here and drives into Canberra and back everyday as it's easily the best place to stay when he's in the Capital on business. Really nice welcoming folks running the place - the care shows - absolutely 5 stars ??'?

Great live music venue, with top bands on 3rd weekend each month. Excellent bistro food, renovated rooms, great atmosphere inside and out. Good sized function space also.

It was 11:45pm and I had been drive 8 hours with only a small brake to eat a burger. I had been working physically hard from 7am that same day and left home at 3pm. I was truly tired when I arrived at Murrumbateman and I still had 2 hours of driving ahead of me. The Country Inn had a very clean bed room for me with an ensuite and I was able to have a much needed hot drink. The people I met were kind, helpful and cheerful. I was back on the road refreshed and happy the next day. THANK YOU ??'??

This place was a great country pub. I sisnt stay there but had dinner. It's very thing you'd expect and very friendly and inviting. The steak was a little over but didn't both me. If your staying around here definitely visit!

Great in-between place to meet up. Close to Yass and Canberra and en route to Melbourne, Boorowa etc. Cheerful, prompt and efficient service. Delicious meals, generous servings.

Very friendly staff great country pub awesome fireplace with rooms that are better than many 5? motels we've stayed in

Stopped in for lunch mid winery tour great pub grub in a country pub atmosphere. Staff were super helpful accommodating the needs of one of our group who was disabled.
Lambs fry and bacon, one of the best I have had. We will be back.

Beautiful country pub right on the Barton Highway in Murrumbateman. We had dinner there last night, I had the chicken parmigiana and my partner had the pepper pork which came with peppercorn sauce, sweet potato mash and asian vegetables. The parmi was nice, but the pepper pork was out of this world amazing! Have visited a few times before, and will definitely be back again :)

The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. Would pay a higher room rate had the rooms been refurbished/ updated. The bistro/ bar service and
food was excellent. Great location with easy access to Canberra and Yass.

Good honest country pub. Nice selection of beer and the food is what you expect. The chicken Parma is a standout of the menu. The pasta is massive but does have a supermarket 'ready meal' taste and feel to it.

We have been several times before and always been pleased. However our latest trip was for a birthday lunch with fairly large group. Food was reasonable but can't say the same about the service. The large room out the back was quite cold and atmosphere definitely lacking.

Pulled up here on the way back from Canberra to have a drink to celebrate our 23 rd wedding anniversary. Nice place to stop off for a drink but only in moderation. Service was great and plenty of parking.

Very dirty. Lots of mould in our room. Had to bleach shower before it was used. Maybe put the correct photos up and show how out dated the room is. Definitely not worth more than $50 a night. Absolutely beautiful spot to stay bit the room was a massive let down.

Great staff, good food at excellent prices. Amongst other things ordered, the burger with chips for $14 can't be beaten...good old fashioned burger with what looks like a home made pattie, along with egg, and bacon and betroot.

Very reasonably priced for basic rooms. The standout however is the bar/restaurant. For pub grub it was outstanding and the prices are very reasonable. Enormous portions. Chips (which I would normally not eat in a pub) were fabulous and the salad so much more than just lettuce leaves. We had a frittata and the plain burger which far from just a meat patty and bun

Don't waste your time drive straight past! My husband and I went there for lunch at 12. I ordered our meals......my husband received his I Sat there waiting for my meal, we inquired twice were it was we where told both times it was coming. My husband finishes his meal I went up to the counter fuming and starving it turns out the girl never put my order through in the first place! Then to add insult to it all the girls at the bar thought it was very funny and made no effort in hiding the fact that they messed up our order and thought it was hilarious! I have an autoimmune disease and I am on chemo. I need to eat at specific times the girl who stuffed up my order could not have cared less and the young blonde mouth piece next to her said I don't know what you want me to do about this! Terrible customer service, no apologies no let us find a solution for our total incompetence. on my way back to canberra to get something to eat at 1.07pm. Word of mouth kills businesses!

We had lunch there and it was fantastic. The atmosphere is very country and l loved it.

The wine menu was great - highly recommend the local wines, special mention to Clonakilla - a killer Shiraz. The menu has plenty of tempting options. We booked a table , but some imported tradies camped out at our booked table and tried to hide the evidence, the staff member did a great job to move them on so we could take a seat. Coming back to the food - looking at our plates it was so very promising, but a medium rare steak was even over a well done one, chips cold, the waiter got lost trying to find our table, our ciabatta didn't turn up until we asked it's whereabouts- part way through our mains.

Would we go again - YES, we all have a bad day, as said on the plate the food had promise and had flavour and I think on the day the food could match the fantastic wine - perhaps I was just taken by buying wine with dust on it!!

Lovely town, growing more and more, large gymkhana area and toilets were very clean. Just wish I had the time to do the wine trail that looks awesome.

Great friendly staff at the bar, they did a great job with our food, was delicious! Great pub to go at night to have dinner, some drinks and play pool.
The rooms are nice and clean. We loved this place.

Delicious food time and time again,new specials every week staff are always super friendly and approachable, makes me wonder if anyone who has not had a good experience has spoken to the staff at the time before posting a negative review. Beautiful warm ambiant fire place, Always a buzzing busy atmosphere this pub is one of the best rustic country pubs I have ever been to. A must do for a relaxing cold beer on a winters day in the most beautiful winery region.

Great meals and lovely atmosphere. Good parking. My medium rare steak was well done but i didnt fuss.prices similar to most clubs.

Great place for quick beverage and solid pub feed. It can feel a little cramped, something that 2 years ago you wouldn't have even noticed, but in 2021 is quite apparent.

I went here on the recommendation of a friend as part of a day trip to Murrumbateman. It was very busy when we arrived. The food came out quickly, even in the middle of the lunch rush. The Chicken Parmegiana was good, but the Lamb Rump was even better. The gravy it came with had a nice mint flavour to it which complemented the meat well. Would go again.

Such a great pub. I've been there for a hens party, family lunch, Saturday night with DJ and every occasion has been fantastic. The food is great, atmosphere amazing and the staff wonderful. I can't wait to go back again.
