Great course. Well maintained fairways and greens, nice setting.

Proshop staff are a bit hit and miss: guy I spoke to when I booked seemed a bit gruff but the woman I spoke to when I checked in was friendly and helpful.

Only other negative is that the 9th hole is in an incredibly silly spot, surrounded by roads, parking and cars in general. Makes for a high-pressure tee shot!

The gentleman named Nick who worked in pro shop was exemplary
He detailed the course layout and gave guidance on equipment that would come in handy whilst playing
Course is first class too !!

Went on quiet rainy arvo, greeted by rude & unhelpful staff. Like the course, wouldn't recommend based off the unpleasant staff.

It's a good course with a few tricky tees if you play for the first time, not boring.
Definitely will go to play again.

I would have to agree with previous comments that the attitude in the proshop is not good at all.
I would advise that Grant gets some customer service training on how to respond to customer enquiries. I don't doubt your initial answer of "I have no idea" was an honest appraisal of your grasp of the situation, however it probably wasn't the response most customers are looking for.

Celebrated a Birthday afternoon there. Food was nice. The view of the Golf Course is spectacular.

Nice course but they won't see me again if I can help it. Fellow in the "pro" shop could not have been more arrogant, looking down on us "visitors". A little bit of welcoming courtesy goes a long way and may just bring us back. Got off on the wrong foot because my friend's pre-paid voucher was not honoured because we did not "quote" it when making the booking. So paid almost double what we expected and have to return again to use the voucher (I will skip that). Fellow behind the desk seemed to enjoy telling us this. I also did not like the fact we were forced to play off the very front tees, diminishing our experience despite paying full price. My friend is a club pro with a scratch handicap. Fellow behind the desk did not care and seemed to take pleasure in informing us. Never seen so many greens driven in one round! Come on guys, it really is not that difficult to treat customers well and appreciate our business, despite not being members.

What an arrogant bunch of self important power trippers in the pro shop, talk about rude and out of touch with reality. Get a life people, no need to be so rude to customers who are paying your wages. Course was great but the pro shop left a lot to be desired. Won't be back !

Course is in top condition. Fast greens and well defined fairways

The WORST GOLF CLUB I've ever dealt with! Their no walk-ins and pre-pay only policy is extremely inflexible. I pre-paid for a mixed pennants practice game which didn't eventuate because they closed the course due to heavy rain. They reluctantly offered a credit which I took up yesterday. We just started our round and the massive storm cell came through with lightning and drenching fairways and greens. We couldn't even finished the 1st hole. They stopped play as there was lightning around. We decided to call it quits as there was more storm warning.
Went back to the pro shop with the reasonable hope that we can have a credit and come back to play on a better day. The pro shop guy was rather rude and said sorry no refund no credit the course isn't closed yet you can wait around until the storm moves on. We are visitors from an hour away, were already soaked, and didn't want to play in such horrid conditions. We asked if we can at least get our cart fee $50 back as we couldn't even finish the 1st hole, we only hit 3 shots. The pro shop guy just said 'no, tough luck, we don't give any refund. Once you've paid you're done whether you play or not'. Most decent golf courses would at least offer a credit to come back another day. We wouldn't mind if we actually got to play a few holes, but only hitting 3 shots, that's beyond ridiculous. It appears that Muirfield is in the business of taking your money and not providing the service. I have heard some bad things about them but this just tops it. It was my first time trying the course. I would have liked to play more than 3 shots. I've golfed all around the world and organised many social golfing groups, unfortunately Muirfield will never be on my list of recommendations. It is extremely disappointing but I hope that they will enjoy my $150 donation as that will be the only money they will ever get from me. ???

The course was quite nice but the bloke working in the pro shop was rude and also wouldn't accept me and my friends valid student ID

Course layout is very nice. The coursw is also challenging. Proshop and bar staffs are nice. Club members are very friendly. Recommended.

A reasonably good course. The greens are challenging because of it undulating slopes and speed. Green fees slightly pricey for visitors. The Chinese food at the club house is good.

Lovely golf course. Whack a few balls around and you might feel better.

Have played here on and off for many years and had a great day again, but after a rude start in the pro shop it made for an uncomfortable start on the first. The Reschs beer on tap helped afterwards.

My experience at this golf course is as follows, I walk it to the pro shop and Pete told me that my tee-time has been canceled because I called this morning and canceled the tee-time.

This was the most racist experience I have encountered in Australia!

But this wasn't the first time, I played Muirfield just about 12 months ago and at that time, I just thought this man was rude, but friends told me after my round this has happened to him too.

It is not a 5 star well maintained golf club but a decent enough local practice course. The green could be better maintained but.

Golf etiquette has declined at this great old track. Unrepaired pitch marks in the greens everywhere and unrepaired divots on the fairways. Don't like to say it. But watching those around me, those of Asian decent are the offenders. Particularly the women. Club staff were friendly and helpful.

Very well maintained and green. Muirfield is a fantastic and very green golf course. The greens are generous and vast and the fairways are quite nice. Easy to drive cart too. We took cart and enjoyed driving on path and greens.When we played the greens were good as it rained recently. The roll was very consistent and smooth on all the greens. Despite the cloudy weather, the greens were looking extremely lush and scenic. There are 2 very long par 4's and a few short par 4's. Overall the course is quite challenging and well worth playing out.As some other mentioned, the golf club is fantastic and very good and the view over some of the holes are very beautiful specifically the 16th and 18th greens is really nice and beautiful.My son is member here and the course and greens are always fantastic and green.

Great fairways, smooth greens, excellent staff. Service is great. Chris the barman knows plenty of things about golf. The pokies room is ancient but no need to play pokies at a golf club. Back 9 is much more scenic than the front. Play that if you have a choice. Membership is cheap too. A1 course.

Decent track. Nice greens. The yellow tees are so far forward it's insulting to make visitors play off them though. Also had our balls picked up/stolen a few times by other groups. Not a good look, won't rush back

Great Chinese food in a Covid safe environment. Nice staff. Try the satay, possibly the best we've had.

Muirfield is a fantastic course. The greens are generous and the fairways are quite nice. When we played the greens were recovering from their winter coring, but the roll was very consistent on all the greens. Despite the dry weather, the greens were extremely lush. There are 2 very long par 4's and a few short par 4's. Overall the course is quite challenging and well worth heading out. As others have said, the clubhouse is fantastic and the view over the 16th and 18th greens is brilliant.
Played again on the 1st of July and the course and greens are in fantastic condition.
