Mount Warning Hotel, Uki NSW

The Mount Warning Hotel is a hotel located in Uki, New South Wales.
They have an average rating of 4.5 out of 368 reviews, with the latest ratings ranging from 1 to 5.
I've given 5 stars because it reached our expectations. Took interstate visitors here for a Thursday lunch and the food and ambience was most enjoyable. It was much less busy than on weekends and perfect for relaxing conversation. The weekends have their own vibe and while busier, still well worth visiting.

For a small town pub they are pretty good. Yes, food can be slow to arrive. The pub offered free shuttle service to the airbnb we stayed at, so we could have a few drinks and not drive. Friendly staff.

It was a stinking hot day, but this hotel is air-conditioned. Service excellent, food good too. I think we stayed for more than 2 hours to escape the heat. Atmosphere is great I will be going back again.

Would never stop here again.

Ordered some lunch and staff members all seemed to be too busy to take our order and then when we did they were pretty rude. Waited 40 mins for mine and my partners lunch when multiple people who ordered after us received theirs first, when we asked staff where our food was we got shrugged off saying they didn't know and acted as if they didn't care at all that we had been waiting for half an hour at this point and waited a further 10 mins before it came out and it was cold! Very unprofessional and horrible service.

Highly recommend! The staff (Bretto in particular, and also his young son) went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our visit. This family-owned pub has been through the wars, both fire and flood, and survived to tell the tale. Thank you for a memorable lunch!

Nice location and friendly staff. Pork ribs on the special were fantastic. Would have been nice to see a local craft beer on tap.

Sunday lunch took 1 hour and 20 mins to arrive. The laminated sign on the register did say there was a 1 hour wait, so it's a regular occurrence, it seems. 1 hr is ok, but getting your lunch at 3.10 is a bit of a stretch. There were several disgruntled punters around as well. When it did arrive, the chips were only warm, and if you don't like chicken salt, that's too bad. The salad was lettuce in the bottom of a bowl with 3 half cherry toms, a little bit of shredded beetroot and carrot, 2 slices of red onion and 3 slices of cucumber, and a squirt of mustard dressing. The lamb cutlets were overcooked, but the crumb was extremely crunchy. The steak sandwich was very basic with extremely thin steak on a staleish bun. Premium prices for food and beer. Service behind the bar very friendly though.

2 hour wait for a $26 steak sandwich (the slimmest of all time)? is just far too long. After a 45 minute wait I went to make sure the order hadn't been lost. After asking politely the staff member at the kitchen rudely stated there's a sign at the bar stating it was a 1 hour wait. We never saw that, and we're not informed at the time we ordered and regardless, it ended up being a 2 hour wait.
If you're that slow, at the least don't be rude to your customers when they are simply checking.
After finally receiving the $26 Steak sandwich, the steak was almost non existent. It was skinny, and flavourless, dry and chewy. The bacon was thicker, see pics attached. You should be ashamed to call this a steak sandwich. Do better.

A really nice pub and such a great atmosphere. They have a courtesy bus and a pool table. Beers are cheap and food is good. Great music too, the family runs it and it shows they love what they are doing.

We stopped in here today after a road trip from Brisbane, we ordered lunch and had some drinks. Great little spot, busy and lots happening but the staff are great. My lunch wasn't great but it was nothing to do with the chefs and they rectified the issue immediately. We will definitely be back after the service we received and my partners meal was amazing.

Best pub feed on the north coast ??'? a couple of our favourites are the oysters Kirkpatrick, garlic prawn pizza, and triple chocolate cake with cream and icecream on the side! Nom nom nom... wish we could have tried the stone and wood battered fresh mangrove jack! Hopefully its on the specials board next time! Lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff, modern set out with a relaxed country vibe! Great value for money on the food too!!! AAA+++

Affectionately known as the Uki pub by locals, the Mt Warning hotel serves well priced meals, cakes and coffee/tea and has clean facilities. Great service, family friendly, I highly recommend the salt and pepper squid, while sitting on the verandah, taking in the sunset, with the beverage of your choice. (p.s. my friend recommends the lamb shanks - order 2 of them!)

We visited the (new) Mt Warning Hotel for lunch and it just seems to get better with time. We enjoyed ?-3 generous sized lunch meals that were not only well cooked, they were well priced. With inside/outside dining and a kids play area you really are spoilt for choice. If all you want is coffee and cake or even your meal as a Täke-away, then that's no problem either. Breeky is on Sunday morning so we'll try that as well. The Hotel staff are polite and friendly and having a smile and laugh seem to be the norm for them, which is nice to see as I think it's a reflection on the workplace. Parking is onsite as well as out the front. This Hotel has an amazing history and if you're lucky enough to catch the owners Brett and Kim or a local, they might tell you about it. Love it, we'll be back.

Fantastic location, nice looking tavern. Staff were friendly and meals were huge. Menu had plenty to choose from and prices weren't to over the top. Lovely sitting out the front watching the world go by.

Great modern day country pub. Great food. Great beer. Great service.
Unfortunately, local accomadation is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for what you would expect .
I give the pub a 10 out of 10.

Food was good but took ages to come out. Chefs needed to speed up or get more help in the kitchen. Staff were friendly.

Iconic spot. Beautiful lush green fields as you cruise past the Tweed river. Then you stop in a 1990s style pub with the juke box and Van Hallen playing "jump" all we could get was a few pizzas because the kitchen was closed. No complaints. We knocked back an OP rum and coke and hit the road

If you plan on bringing a dog be prepared to sit amongst the smokers and shoved in the far corner away from everything. As we walked through looking for our name on the table, an older gentleman approached us asking if we had a booking, no hello or anything that would resemble a warm welcome greeting. Gave my name and he directed us through the cloud of cigarette smoke to a lonely long table which felt separated from the rest of the ambience of this place. We asked if we could sit someone else, we were directed to the one and only table right at the front down the stairs on the footpath. Not a bad spot to sit with a great view, would have been nice to have been offered water for my dog. The lady who took my meal order appeared to carry the weight of life on her shoulders and probably shouldn't really be in a customer facing role. The food was nothing to rave about but was eatable.

Overall, service was uninviting and the food average. I expected a better hospitality experience being in a small country town.

The most beautiful thing about this hotel is that the owner and the team ARE HOSTS!

One day I fainted walking through the pub and I came to with bar staff fussing over me and the owner or manager nearby and they had genuine care about me being safe when I left

A lot of other pubs and nightclubs would say that you were too intoxicated and throw you out without a care

The boss was happy when I let him know that I was at hospital safely and a few days later to let him know that I was ok

These people care. You will have a lovely time in this hotel

Great reasonably priced meals

Great location, good food. Friendly staff. I have seen other comments about the new building not being as good as the old, but I think they have made much better use of the space and it still looks amazing. Was great that they have a pet friendly section and a pet friendly dining area. Would definitely suggest making a booking if you have dogs as they do get quite busy during dinner time. I would go over an hour out of my way to have dinner here again, so I would strongly suggest you visit, even if it is only for a few drinks.

Great pub, with an easy going atmosphere, food, outside sitting areas and awesome live music on the weekends.
This pub is a ideal for a meal or cold drink destination and for anyone considering a bit of a drive, you certainly won't be disappointed if you put this pub on your visiting list....
Enjoy
