Stayed last night and we were very impressed. It's a budget hotel and couldn't fault it. We had a meal in the bar which was lovely and good value, staff were excellent particularly Jade who rebooked us for next month. View of Hobart from window is amazing

Outstanding value for money if you want to stay close to the centre of the town. Walking-wise, it can be quite challenging, given how hilly Hobart is, but very convenient. The bar on ground floor can be quite loud, and there are some questionable design decisions regarding the room (i.e. sink and the big mirror in the room, next to the bed and not in the bathroom), but overall if you aren\'t going to spend too much time in the hotel and use it only to sleep, this should not be a problem

Arrived late due to delayed flight, staff member waiting there was really helpful.

Room was clean and comfortable, great location and great view out to the city and the Derwent.

And excellent value if you\'re budget conscious.

Had buffet dinner here last night and the food was outstanding, the brisket for me was a show stopper. Staff are friendly and accommodating, owner is super nice too. You can tell these people take pride in their service, definitely try the food here and sit by the window to enjoy the view

Basic room (only redeeming feature was view)
hotel on top of extremely steep hill - virtually non existent street parking
Room wasn\'t completely cleaned from previous people - food, drink bottle & car keys on & around fridge (was asked next morning re keys - made me wonder who exactly had room prior & how did they leave without car keys?)
No designated parking (regulars took any parks, only about 10 there - staff member moved theirs so I could park there) Even wheelchair park was not accessible due to car park configuration
Room was entered while I was away (bed made & bin emptied) - was not made aware of this occurring- & would not have accepted
Unsettling as, obviously, had belongings in room & had to check nothing missing
Had asked for no stairs but everything had stairs - even double storey to meals area
Re meals - due to food limiting allergies I asked for steak (via their bistro) informed none; would be none the next night Told bistro not really open but their buffet was - but apart from bits of salad nothing I could eat (& told if wanted dessert would be extra on top of full price meal cost) - so nothing to eat that night
I\'d mistakenly booked for two nights so had to get meals elsewhere the next day
They had a laundry, I used, but the driers only took $4-5 so if not completely dry had to put in full amount to get dry (so even though unneeded time I wasted money there too) Not like normal pay dryers where you add $1- at a time to dry clothes
Plus only place demanded an extra $100 deposit - told would be returned (& wouldn\'t notice even gone) - its been over two weeks & still not returned)
One of the worst hotels/motels I\'ve ever stayed in
