Photos we took previously couple of years back to now. This was takeaway Italian wood fired pizza, supposedly. Didn't look at it until we got home. Went in the bin. Dreadful . Last photo is "obviously " what we got tonight. Night and day.....

It's all about serving big family and sporting groups with young kids very average food very quickly. If that is your thing you will enjoy it. The reputation amongst MV locals about the food being pretty poor compared with previous kitchen owners is well deserved, which is telling. We've tried them 3 times in the last 12 months and have to agree. Sloppy pizzas and under cooked pasta. A family member was abused by the chef for daring to take their undercooked meal back. Surely it can't be that hard?

The pizza shop inside the club, Mixed up our order then blamed us for the mistake. Food was a 4 out of 10.

Happy to take our money elsewhere next time.

Calabria Bowling Club completely let our whole football team down very last minute. We'd booked a futsal court and received email confirmation. We also booked online for our group's families, 34 people to have dinner in the restaurant, which I was able to confirm directly with the restaurant owner. I prefer to speak with a human when a group is involved: I called the club several times over the days leading up to the booking, but they weren't contactable, instead it went to a voice recording which refers bookings back to their web site - a ridiculous circular madness worthy of 'Catch 22'. I finally got hold of someone just hours prior to our event, who informed me the court I'd booked was actually not available 'on Tuesdays' and that the courts should've been blocked out on the web site. The girl on the phone made mention of being sorry but blamed 'the person who runs the web site'. I pointed out they'd had four days to spot their mistake and let us know. We were left to madly scramble and reorganise to relocate our event. The restaurant is now run as a separate business and the owner called me to make sure we didn't blame the restaurant for the mistake. As a customer it's unsatisfactory to have one entity take my significant group booking, which the purpose of our visit is dependent on the hire of a court that is handled by someone else, and the two parties don't talk to each other. There was no follow up from the actual club, to acknowledge their incompetence which caused us significant inconvenience, or to apologise properly.

Fortunately for us, another local place, Harbord Bowling Club was able to accommodate our group; we got a booking on one of the KIKOFF futsal courts and enjoyed drinks and dinner in the club's bar & restaurant JC's Pizza Cafe.

Better now than we 1st started coming here. Love to see this place thrive!

Great service , tasyy pizzas. Always worth a visit for some good Italian and cold beers

The food here is beyond disgusting, I'd rather eat out of a hospital dumpster then return here , full of screaming kids running around everywhere, if you do get stuck here then just order a beer and an Uber...seriously the worst food I've eaten since arriving in Australia and I eat out every day

Not only is it fun playing women's futsal there, the food is great too! Super kid friendly and clean.
They have fun trivia nights, great raffles, and an awesome atmosphere. My kids play there too and they love it.
Facilities are fab and well maintained.

We used to go a lot before Covid. Haven't been as often lately but went yesterday. We arrived at 5ish (says it is open til 9pm) but for our surprised kitchen was closed by 6:45pm. No one came to ask if we needed to order something else because they would close the kitchen (as most restaurants do) and when I try to order a kids pasta they said the kitchen had been turned off. Very disappointing as they bring the food really quickly so I'm pretty sure the pasta is already cooked. Bolognese is definitely done ahead and only reheated.
When I asked the lady explained they close early on Sundays and the man who was there was very rude (same to take the plates of the table without even asking if we had finished). He told me to "pay the rates" if I wanted food at 6:45pm ?
Previous management had a way more limited menu but was way more friendly and pizzas were much better (crunchy not soggy).

Ate here whilst staying in manly - from Melb. Mate lives around the corner. Simple set up but very relaxed atmosphere. Great selection of beers, ciders and wine. Ordered pizzas , pasta and as I was a Tuesday - a schnitzel- all were delicious and arrived within 10 mins of ordering. Pasta dish was huge - full of prawns and all other good things, pizzas were delicious and schnitzel was great too. Service was very relaxed and friendly.. will definitely come back. Thanks

It's a great spot for the kids because they can kick the ball around on the synthetic courts. Decided to go here before the Sea Eagles game yesterday. The place has had a great refurb. The food and the service is superb with the new operators in the kitchen. It's a hidden gem. Always has been but now with real quality food I'd suggest you get down there.

We had a really good time here. Great tasty food and a lovely open space to celebrate a family birthday. The kids had free run on the soccer pitch so everyone could relax without having to keep watching in all directions.

What's up with the older guy behind the bar ... makes you feel so unwelcome even before you step forward to order a drink he's barking orders ... no kids at the bar ...for what reason ... ? And this makes it very difficult for single parents with a child who has no one to mind their little one when ordering a drink ... is this because my child is going to leap over the bar and start pouring vodkas !!!
Then another order barked at me about my mask ..... put me off , I ended up not bothering to order ... he needs to chill out and smile a bit !

Beautiful food (best pizza), friendly staff, reasonable prices! Go for a drink and a meal after football at the nearby ovals (Passmore Reserve or Nolan Reserve) or play futsal on their synthetic courts.

Good atmosphere. Nice people. Friendly service. Great value food.

Had pizzas here several times - pizza is good, but every time at least one was burnt

Coffee - reduces the rating further really poor quality taste and intensity wise

The Italian food here is fantastic, consistenly high quality. The club is an ideal early dinner venue for families with young kids.

We ordered 3 pizzas and the dough was very chewy and tasted like old bread. I called the restaurant to let them know and they didn't apologise at all and didn't care about our complaint. Will never order from them again. Very poor service and poor quality.
