Oldest pub in Australia, apparently. It was pleasant enough although I didn't have a meal, plenty of people were there for a feed...and it looked good from what I could see.
Some good music from a muso strumming the guitar and singing songs... not going overboard on being loud, so you couldn't hear yourself having a conversation.
I think it needs a spruce up, but maybe that's keeping the nostalgia alive.

This is an awesome old school pub. The smell, the atmosphere. Very cool place. Staff were awesome, food is good and the beers are well priced.

Food took forever to arrive, waited for probably a good 30mins. Ordered medium but the steak turned up well-done. Chips was average

Bought a chicken schnitzel with chips and Salad with a side of gravy

Gravy was all over schnitzel (instead of on the side in a container like everywhere else does) and my "salad" was drowning in gravy if you can call it a salad 2 tiny for fulls and that's its
Had a starter of salt and pepper squid plus 6 dollars for salt and pepper prawns on top the halved the portion of s&p squid (ate here a month ago) and added three measly prawns and more salad underneath this dish than was on my salad
Nice lady at front but in last month went from yeah I'll eat that again to I wouldn't even bother thinking about it 0 stars worst food set ever do not recommend to anyone

Good honest pub food, friendly service, reasonable prices

One of my most favourite places to hangout and eat. The hotel bistro survives delicious food. It's warm and cozy and love listening to the bands during weekends. I will sure come here again with my friends and family ???

The place has friendly and polite staff, very delicious and perfectly cooked food, the atmosphere was very comfortable and relaxing with furniture that was perfect but one negative is that If you are taller than 170 then some places would make you bend like when having to go under arches. There were also no seats behind the bar where the parking slot was.

Its ok....its showing its age .food was good. Place needs some TLC.

The service was great but they need to learn how to cook the ? steaks..
There were x 3 of us today we all ordered our steaks to be cooked differently.. but all x 3 steaks came over cooked & dry??????

I had an amazing experience at the Macquarie Arms Hotel! The old vibes of the building are truly something special, and it's clear that the owners take great pride in maintaining the historical aspects of the hotel. I felt like I was stepping back in time as I walked through the doors.

The food was excellent and exceeded my expectations. I ordered the beef burger with a side of sweet potato fries, and everything was cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. I also appreciated the wide variety of drinks available, including local beers and wines.

The staff were all very friendly and attentive, and made me feel very welcome. They were knowledgeable about the history of the hotel and the local area, and were happy to answer any questions I had. I also enjoyed chatting with the locals at the bar, who were all very friendly and welcoming.

Overall, I highly recommend the Macquarie Arms Hotel to anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable dining experience. The old vibes of the building, excellent food and drinks, and friendly staff all come together to create a truly special atmosphere.

Wonderful old purpose built pub from 1815. A real step back in time. Lots of old rooms with fireplaces you could sit in. It's something very special to visit. Our food was amazing as well. We really enjoyed the experience. A must visit in Windsor even if you go in for a drink.

It was a fun new years eve. The karaoke was really fun. Bar staff were really friendly. Tables outside were pretty dirty. Apart from one VERY drunk guy name Steven (black shirt, white shorts) who was very inappropriate, and kept approaching women (he really didn't like it when we told him to stop, leave us alone, and keep his hands to himself) all night, it was a great time.

Amazing old heritage pub said to be Australia's oldest although about 5 other pubs lay that claim also. Nonetheless it's got various areas to eat and drink both inside and out. I recommend a seat in the front window at street level. Awesome friendly bar staff aswell. Looking forward to returning.

I will never betray the quality and quantity of their chicken snitty any day of the week other than maybe Quakers Hill might beat them because of the diane sauce, size and quality. If you are looking for a good outing grab a feed here, move on to Windsor ice cream and some treats for home at the lollies shop.

The young man at the bar was friendly, doesn't know how to make a vodka, lemon, lime and bitter properly. My family of 4 enjoyed their food.

Eggplant parmi price on board was $16 but I was charged $20 (apparently because it was Schnitzel special day so all Schnitzels $20), I was asked if I wanted chips and salad and I asked if there's another option was told yes mash and veg so I went for that but wasn't told it was $6 extra. New staff so understandable but when I emailed to point out I was overcharged by $10 (I didn't notice at the time, only later that day) I would have been happy with an apology but instead I was told the reasons for why it was more which I don't think was reasonable because if the price is higher than advertised then this should be advised at register. Only ten bucks yes but it's the principle plus prices are so high right now every little bit counts.

I work there as a RSA Marshall Friday night and Saturday nights great place and fantastic staff outstanding food would not work anywhere else happy been a rsa marshal for them and a covid marshal aswell love yous and miss working there at this stage because of this covid hopefully back next week see yous all soon ps need entertainment I know a karaoke host 100% the best he make $ for your club 100%

Excellent food at very reasonable prices. I was there at a quiet time but it can get very busy. An historical building that is a pleasure to visit.

Nice to actually visit the oldest pub in Australia! Friendly atmosphere and the architecture is amazing. Low doorways of that time period. Anyone who is an Ozzy should visit this pub. Any overseas visitors go to the oldest pub in Australia.

History and Great Feed. We visited here on Good Friday for a last minute dinner plan. They were very accommodating and we had a table to fit all of us out the back of this establishment. The food was cooked perfectly. I had the Grilled Barramundi with salad which was cooked to perfection. The decor of the hotel holds it's history well. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Reasonable food, though like much of Windsor it's pretty run down - the place really needs a restoration to get "Australia's Oldest Pub" back to the glory of its heyday.

This is such a cute traditional pub, with massive portions of food. Ever better that it tastes so great.

I order a classic chicken Schnitzel with pepper gravy and it was amazing and the gravy was creamy and perfect. I'm just disappointed I couldn't finish it all.
